The February 16, 2011 Wednesday Night Fights, hosted by Level|Up Series, had some top players in the community playing Marvel vs. Capcom 3 all night and there were some really exciting matches.

You can find the results, a battle log and you can look through the teams various players picked to get some ideas of the popular squads being played right now.

• James Chen and UltraDavid said on the stream that the feeling in some parts of the community is that the top five characters in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 right now are Wolverine, Sentinel, Amaterasu, Phoenix and Dante. It's still very early though, so this could change a lot in the future.

• EG.Justin Wong also won the Super Street Fighter 4 tourney, defeating ComboJack in the grand finals.

yo catalyst are you gonna embedd any of the video or they arent allowing it. i personally find embeds to be less cpu intensive than watching it on the actual page >_<

All three of these groups have asked me to embed their streams, so it's allowed. I may embed the Level|Up one if I have enough time to cover it. Working on a lot of stuff right now.

It is funny that Justin tweeted how X-factor was broken before and wants to go back to MvC2, now he is saying how he thinks the game is fun.

whats funny is that one one of the other sets of videos Andre said he thought the game was boreing and said sanford wasnt diggin it much eather. hopefully opinons change.

I highly doubt this game will go the way of TVC, i would be mad suprised if it did.

ClakeyD used Tronne, he did great.

I watched the last hour of the stream and that was so much fun, great level of play. Love what Justin Wong said, which basically is that at this point all the characters have a shot, his Wolverine-Akuma-Storm team was impressive.

My only complain with the gameplay is how strong lv 3 X-Factor is. A lv 3 Sentinel just 2-shots people, that's too much...

Kinda mad that justin used wolverine. Now that people really see his potetntial, a lot more people will be using him when originally they thought he would be garbage. I was hoping that not too many would play him. He may be the mvc3 rufus...which sucks. Now i don't want to play wolverine anymore...

People rather feel like that "unique snowflake" type ordeal. Also to avoid the crybabies that complain about characters cause they are voted being good. People think by flying under the radar, others may think they are good by using a unfamiliar character, thus inflation of the ego occurs. And once that character becomes mainstream they loose said ego and get angry cause they dont feel special anymore.

@22 USe anybody you like man. If you really want to stand out, be the BEST with that character. Thats how I see it, but I REFUSE to use either Storm, Magneto, Or Sent. Never going to happen, from what i've seen, nearly EVERY team needs either a storm, Magento, or sent, and I think it is because the game has just been released and they haven't unlocked the potiental of other newer characters. I watched the entire stream, and I was rooting for Clakey D because of his unique team.

Is there an archived video of the stream anywhere, or will these be put up on youtube some time soon? My internet crapped out on me last night so I missed the last handful of matches.

And I like that Justin is saying the game is fun now; sounds like he was trolling everyone before, heh. That or he changed his mind after he sat down and gave it another chance. Either way, Justin put on quite a show last night.

So I have to say that I am very happy to see teams that do NOT have Sentinel in the top 4 in MvC3 tournaments! Even if a lot of people are going to use him, it is rally nice to know that using him is not a necessity in this game. like it tended to be in high level MvC2 play!
