Yep, people love Sentinel. And believe me, people will continue to play him on into 2020, no matter how much they lose to raw skill.
I've seen so many people play Sent who don't even know how to use him it's hilarious. People think "Oh I'll just put him on my team and it's a guaranteed win" but as soon as they realize they cant just mash buttons when he's on point, well... Hilarity ensues.

I don't use Sentinel.. not my style, but I can never blame someone for using him. Tons of health and he is always one hit confirm away from killing you. They nerf Phoenix health because of her potential but don't correct sentinel's? As strange as it would seem, sentinel should have an Akuma type complex tons of damage but easily broken.
So many characters used? More like every team HAS to have Sent in it. Come on now, 36 chaarcters and every team needs a sent? This is why I wanted him out of the game, not because he is hard or anything, just the fact that everybody is going to be on his nuts! People think by just using sent makes you atuomatically good. Damn, I would rather see Dante then Sent.
I have to wait till Friday to get this game :( Does anyone use Thor online?
All I c online now are Dantes, Deadpool and Sentinel teams. :( Iron Man is usually the 2nd choice if they never pick Sentinel but it's usually just a mix of those 4. They either use Sentinel in ways like #4 said or they just keep a distance mashing buttons like mad shooting from a distance with Dante, Deadpool or Iron Man.I almost thought those four characters were exclusive to online play or that my game was defective for a while after seeing the pattern. When people started finally picking other characters after 3 hours of online play, my jaw literally hit the floor in shock.
@11 - try Arthur. Lance + Sword toss can keep him out well, not to mention the Goddess'Bracelet loops can take out a good chunk of health of if you hit confirm them.
But, I play with Sent on 1/3rd of my teams, so I guess I can't talk...
Man someone got lit up at the end of vid 1! Sentinal looks like a real jawbreaker just like always. His health really doesn't look to make things easier either.

at least you mix it up dude lol. The roster isnt as big sadly as MvC2 so I always saw that as somewhat of a downgrade in comparison but I still like it.
I was just so surprised those 4 I mentioned earlier were the only ones I played against online when I first got it, and to be used in such a way with no ounce of skill whatsover.Everyone has one person that they stick with thats among the most popular. I know the game just came out and thinking to see God-like competitors with new characters is just dumb, but AT LEAST use the training mode before u go online damn lol. I was praying for a combo from someone and nope, didnt happen. It was obvious no one knew what the hell they were doing when I kept seeing random moves being thrown at me outta no where and projectile ultras being used for the sake of chip damage. I've yet to play an Arthur player tho' so I'm looking forward to seeing someone throw down with him well.
I'm a She-Hulk, Spencer, Wolverine guy myself. She-Hulk is a PURE BEAST if u get her down right but I'm barely halfway thru her missions. I rarely have to tag out when I use her tho'. Now that I said that, everyone will catch on and start using my baby lol:*(.
Got damn Sentinel. This is why I need a keep away character, either it being MODOK or Dormammu I need to keep that guy away. I hate Sentinel so much.
That Dante in the first video was very impressive. Prop Shredder into Sky Dance? Nice stuff. Nice Air Trick play too.

Oh wow, my other team is Spencer / She-Hulk / Thor. The team mops up, even with my poor execution - you're right she's a beast.

But yeah, I didn't play online until this morning - spent the night seeing actually how to play. Haven't lost yet, but my first few matches were against people with no clue lol.
They need to increase Spiderman's damage on Maximum Spider, i dont wanna b doing 20 combos to beat 1 character.
God I hate that stupid sentinel....
For him having this amount of health is just broken...

Sentinel hate is un-necessary. I play 4 teams,and Sent is on one. And I still get hatemail after rematches without Sent. Arthur/Zero/Sent,Wesker/Akuma/Deadpool,Skrull/Doom/Dante,etc. And people yell at me for sentinel. Even when my Arthur OCVs and Sentinel never sees daylight. Sentinel has so many bad matches,its hard to keep track,and haters still gonna hate? Come on guys. It's day 2 now. Sent will die.
Hopefully the game will come on PC so I can practice =)
If not, I have to play at right at the opening hour at MGL to try the game. If not, some kid always comes over and destroy me in 5 sec.
I think I made up my team: it is going to have Dante, Dormammu and Sentinel (surprise). I am doing to call them the DDS team.
@21 It's only broken if you can't do anything about. It's surprisingly easy to come up with strats against sentinel. He needs all that health because his hittable box is easy to clip. It's outright exploitable with certain characters. Plus the whole can't block while flying and other things are just as exploitable imo.
Although, I am displeased about how godlike Lvl 3 X-Factor Sent is as people's tanks. You can't even really call it clutch...more like a "Get out of getting an ass kicking insurance card", but whatevs. Not crying for patch or nothing, it's just a hindrance from the past couple of days.
Chris, Dante, Wesker, Trish, Arthur, and Ryu all wreck Sentinel, and that's just off the top of my head. Either contribute to the community knowledge and find strats against Sentinel to post online, or quit the game. No one wants to hear your bitching.
This is random but from the stream last night , Morrigan's assist is really great, almost nobody used dante's demon form, morrigan's missiles suck big time and don't do much damage, phoenix really is a literal glass cannon as in 4hitsyourdone and people will cheer like they are about to get laid if you take on 3 opponents with a dark phoenix alone.
