Some users have experienced delays receiving Marvel vs. Capcom 3 from the official Capcom Store. Darin, the manager for the store, sent over this message explaining what's going on behind the scenes.
As much as we would like to we can't guarantee delivery on release day. The best we can do is ship early so that there is a high likelihood they will arrive on release day. Orders began shipping last Thursday and a big majority did arrive by 2/15.
For the orders that have not yet been delivered there are a couple issues at play:
1. Many fans have said their order shipped early but are puzzled by tracking information. We can't confirm this but it appears the tracking info is not updating as it shows some orders sitting in Indiana. As of this writing that has not changed since the orders arrived there. We're not sure what is happening here but are investigating.
2. There was an "outage" at the company who does our order fulfillment. We did not find out about this until just before noon Pacific Time today. This outage required them to resubmit a number of orders. They have since confirmed that the orders affected shipped today.
Thanks to Ogrimtitan for the initial heads up.
I don't see why when they ship out to the stores they can't ship out to those who pre ordered from Capcom store.... yes those who pre ordered from Capcom store would get it first but they should because they are ordering it right from the source.
Capcom should ship early for those who order the Collectors Edition.
@1
Hawk and DJ had sound files in vanilla but they didn't make it into the game. http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2009/ju... they were only added in Super.
That image could be faked too. Would be so easy to fake it.
Next time don't say there's gonna be 99.9% chance we get it on release day capcom! Sounds like a bunch of bs excuses.
Hoping that we who ordered from Capcom store get our's on Thursday at the latest. If we don't I'm never ordering from them again.
@10: learned my lesson.
Not ordering big titles from that garbage shop anymore. Shoulda jumped on GS or Amazon or even Newegg =P
wow what bs. I'm never going to order from them again. Prolly playing the games in indiana.
The reason why i'm outraged is because like everyone else we had many other viable retailers to order from GS, Amazon, Newegg etc. But NOOOOO you had to offer a free t-shirt and free shipping. If i had known this would include a late arrival date i would have told you to shove that shirt up your ass.
From what i've heard the people who got their copy on time used the fastest/most expensive shipping. Foolish to believe that Capcom wasn't only interested in money. Majority of peoples copies are in Indiana.
The 10% off SE code and the shirt were just too tempting. As much as I want to rage at the fact that my game is in Indiana I got the Collectors edition for like $65. It'll be here soon enough..Right?
@19 yup and i got too play fron ten oclock till midnight it was great and actually fun midnight release so just pre order if u really want it y not its not like ur giving any extra money either
Thanks to the 10% off code and free shipping, I'll wait a few extra days for my special edition and t-shirt that cost me less than your regular edition from GameStop ($62.99 + free $10 DLC + free shirt > $63.59)
Besides, as dead as the Midwest can seem... we actually have a fairly decent Marvel community in my area. I have been playing the game for the past week already, so these past 2 days don't feel any different. I'm basically only waiting to start playing at home and earning achievements on my gamertag.
@1
Guys, what would be the purpose of them putting it on the disk? They could have just, you know, not have done it and had the same effect.
#1 The Shirt Could have been bought from MeatBuns site a month in advance.
#2 If you would have waited the promo code to save 10% was given weeks after the CE was on the Cap-Store Site
#3 IF you got next day shipping it arrived early
#4 Capcom...$10 Extra for new characters that were supposed to be in the game? That's pretty sneaky!
Gah. I got so fed up with waiting i just went and bought it at gamestop. i plan to sell it to a friend once my CE comes in the mail. I'm such a dumbass....
I hate Fishers, Indiana.
So... are our games still there... or...?
Pre-ordered on Feb 1st. I noticed it was "Still in Process" on the 13th. Digital River is the company that handles the Capcom Store online, so I gave them a call. They explained the screw-up with their shipping and that there was nothing they could do about it. My order finally shipped today on Feb. 15th. So balls.
Haha yeah this was my first and probably only time ordering from the Capcom store. Im up here in the North West and this is some serious bullsh!t.
I mean why the hell would anyone want to order premium anything from this retailer if they don't have the common courtesy to uh, ship it out in a way that delivers it to us on time or "gasp" early even? Holy fu*k it's already paid for so why not just send the game out!!
I am EXTREMELY pissed about this to say the least.
I don't think the copies are still in Indiana, I think that the shipping info won't update. My order says "order complete" though and I still haven't gotten my copy. Somebody who lives 20 mins away already got it though. It's my birthday today. ****ing capcom store. I will never shop there again, regardless of epic shirts
they should for the delay give everyone who had a regular edition the shuma and jill code for the wait and hopes of return website future orders cause i dont think there will be any
I hope the people who are waiting for their order don't live in the US,if not then why is everyone ordering it, instead of just going to Best Buy or a local game store to reserve it? Whats the logic in that? Did you seriously expect a game of its status was going to ship in front of your door on day one of its release?
some characters being on the disc really doesn't make any difference from them being downloadable aside from the download method taking more time and being more expensive.
I know, the already had them developed and it's just a cheap way to earn more profit, but I think capcom is an excellent company that, compared to other gaming companies, listens to the fans (at least to a certain extent).
So I got no problem supporting a company who offers what we all probably think of as the best beat em ups out there who guarantee fun for maybe even years unlike many other games which are just a waste of money if you compare the gameplay you can get out of them on the long run.
Twice I have used Digital Rivers and pre-ordered a much anticpated product. Twice now I have been fubar'd. I share the same story/situation as everyone else waiting for their orders here in beautiful Indiana...
I don't give two rat-sh**s as what the actual excuse is from Capcom. This release was a major event and yet retailers saw no issues in fulfilling their pre-orders nor did they experience any setback with inventory. Yet the source that is supposed to represent Capcom directly again fails to execute. Once again they have turned their problems and issues into mine. There will not be a third time.
@43 Please see #24 (aka my previous post)
I do live in the US, but I got $25 worth of shirt+DLC for less than you paid for your game at Best Buy.
ALSO, most online pre-orders from the company itself result in getting the game the day before release. That has been my experience in most cases at least. Game comes out on Tuesday and the package is at my door on Monday. Capcom did this to me with Vanilla SF4, so I bought Super at GameStop. With many people already having the game from retailers that broke street date, I'm kind of mad that they didn't just release all of their store pre-orders last Tuesday to ensure we all got ours a little earlier.
What I don't get is I got the e-mail saying it shipped on the 11th. The UPS thing says it shipped on the 14th. I don't know which one to believe. I feel kinda betrayed anyways. Cut out Frank West, still have him on the posters and shirts, make him not guaranteed DLC, Have Rad Spencer in the game from the Bionic Commando that sold 4 copies, versus the Dead Rising games which have sold extremely high, enough to consider it a new IP.
I'm gonna buy him when does come as DLC (which he damn better) I'm just gonna be upset and happy at the same time.
@31 If I had the money I would go and do that too. I want the game so badly, especially after playing it. It's s neat playing my Tron Bonne again.
Wow, good thing I don't order anything from the Capcom Store. If I wanted to order or pre-order anything online, it would be either from Amazon or from Newegg, as which I ordered from them many times before. Both are very trustworthy, with very fast shipping. Not to mention, you sometimes get great deals if you search good enough.
Going back on topic, this should be no excuse on why Capcom can't take all their pre-orders, & then have the copies of games shipped to their respective buyers. They had a whole lot of time to get it together. They should've gotten it either earlier than the 15th of this month, or exactly on the 15th of this month. Makes no sense.
As if this wasn't bad enough, there's a poster who had a really bad experience with the Capcom Store from a year & a half ago. Scary. Just goes to show that the Capcom Store isn't the kind of place to order anything from.
Gettin mine from best buy or gamestop later this month, im content with my rental copy now
A big BS CAPCOM. such as your corporate is a f*ckin liar trying to tempt customers and oh yeah your a thief as you would steal from us customers.
well, mine made it to my city, but apparently they didn't get all the address information, so now I have to go pick it up at a UPS warehouse (not a store because apparently they don't own their own stores) which is located about an hour and a half away. best road trip ever...
mines still in indiana! lol never again f capcom store
@60: Mine said "Departed shipping facility" or whatever on monday. Two days later it still says the same thing... where the hell is it? =P
Fcuk capcom store... never again.
Haha oh man this just keeps getting better... they just sent me an e-mail explaining that they will give me my refund WHEN I return the game to them!! HAHA!! REALLY?! These things are sooooo lost in the mail by now that maybe a month or so from this time I'll actually be able to do that!!
I was pretty angry at first, but reading all these whiny comments from entitled kids has put things into perspective for me. I'm just gonna take this in stride. And I've got news for all the kids whining and griping and pissin' and moanin'.
LIFE'S NOT FAIR. If you're angry now just wait til you grow up and have to work a thankless job and have to pay bills and taxes and so on. Boy, I don't think there's gonna be enough internet for all the crying.
Although i've ordered from capcom before, i didn't have a choice this time. I remembered ordering SSFIV and it came in about 2 days late. That's all not that bad, but capcom this time messed up and cancelled my preorder which required me to order again. Called up customer service and these bastards tell me "they don't know why it was cancelled" Come last friday i get two email confirmations saying i have two orders coming, so i've already been charged twice, with one costing more than the other because i was unable to use the promo code. Oh yea and it's "still in "Indiana"
@Dinosaur: Mind your audience. You think these "entitled" kids will learn the burden of bills and taxes and the misery of a thankless job just from you saying it?
"Foolishness."
I just got home and still no game... has there been any updates after this one on the fate of our games..?
What's the f--king point of pre-ordering from capcom if i get an email from a retard that doesn't even know what he's doing. He sent me a reply saying it was shipped via UPS when he clearly gave me a USPS tracking number. Then he tells me to wait 7-10 days..... 7-10 days?! really? whats the f--king point of pre-ordering then.. This is the stupidest sh-t ever from Capcom Store.
pre-ordering in capcom's language = post-ordering
So it's 2.17.11 now, a few minutes past midnite. And mvc3 hasn't arrived yet. I'm getting pissed. But i understand shiz happens. I know sometimes when companies mess up they make it up to customers somehow, through free credit towards their next purchase, a giftcard, or some money back, etc. Something, anything.. Any of those would sound nice.
@64 I still don't have any clue where my order is and their customer service sounds like crap from everyone on here. Life isn't fair, that's exactly why people bitch and that's why things get done, or businesses hurt, so your point unfounded. Bitching is completely validated in this situation. Capcom's store is a joke.
It says my order departed from new jersey on the 15th, and I live in new york. I don't understand how it's not here after 2 days. Nj is like 2-3 hrs away from my house. 48 hours is more than enough time to get a package to where I live. If it's not here tomorrow, Friday, I'm going to go nuts. I'm never ordering anything from the capcom store again.
Sorry, Catalyst if you think I'm trolling, but I definitely think the community should see this:
Decrypted MvC3 disc data shows Frank West and Dr. Octopus is on the disc.
