DLC costume images for Marvel vs. Capcom 3, trailers

Just about to submit this. So great, they have this crap but no Frank West? What the hell Capcom.

Not sure if it's just me/my browser, but the second set of images (Iron Man and Dante alts) is just the same image repeated nearly 30 times.

Steve Rogers in his current Super Soldier outfit? Awesome! The others are great too, but that one takes the cake.

And now Green Goblin is in the game as well. Kind of, seeing as that Iron Man alt is Norman Osborn's Iron Patriot suit.

If that's true, then it actually makes me happy. The costumes in SSF4 are worth more in prize and hard drive space. And unlike them, I actually want all the ones in this package.

Also, lol at me thinking Ryu looks exactly the same until realizing the amazing subtlety of the SF1 red slippers.

I'm sure that the costumes are already in the dics....

Anyway I suppose that Zero is going to get his Mega Man Zero sprite. After all he end up in Neo Arcadia and in Megaman Zero world in his ending.

Chun li is probably going to have the alpha costume or some of the SSF4 costumes and Viper need his alt 2 for this game.

Spiderman all that he needs is Noir costume and he is set!.

Dante got the Vergil sprite! NOOOO! this is very bad specially when Vergil is one of the most requested characters in the poll right now!.... I just hope that Capcom can include him as DLC and even it should be easy because they already have his 3D model done.

Excellent, I for one like the "Steve Rogers" costume that he currently wears in the comics, so I'm glad to see it coming to MvC3!

Also SF1 style Ryu got a chuckle out of me. :P

Remember when all of this came to unlock in games and the games were regular price and made with the time originally planed for production.

Now we must pay for full price of the production plus the bonus(DLC)stuff they made with the same development time that is already in disk.

Games should cost less,about $40 is reasonable.Especially Mvc3.

Sort of odd how they could change the models here and not in any of the alts for the actual game. But oh well, costumes don't interest me anyway. Only characters and modes.

What your arguing is for an outdated model with really no point except that's the way it's traditionally been done. There is a fact that price points fluctuate with time and the buyers market becomes more comfortable with new prices. In the Super Nintendo days you could charge even $80 - $100 for a game and those prices made Square one of the richest gaming companies.

But those days are gone. With Netflix giving you any movie (a lot streaming) for $9, indies giving their games away and iOS games pioneering the $1 download. it's in game companies best interest to lower the price point. Very few games are worth $60 these days and gamers now it.

The price point has shifted. I would even argue $20 for new releases. You could argue that's too little, but when a buyer both, knows the game will be reduced in a month, and can afford three games for the price of one. They'll buy three games. How many times did you want your friend to get a game you liked but it was too expensive? Now just buy it for them, they don't like it, oh well.

Final point - SF for iphone sold well for $9.99, but at $1? It beat Angry Birds as the most downloaded app on itunes. Why is it not now? Because Capcom raised the price back.

Is that Sparta or vergil, I forget. I suppose there will be a blue version anyways, he already got the hair. A weird choice, but I guess any of Dante's other appearances wouldn't be too different (except 2 maybe).

Estimating the roster size, that's a lot of packs. I rather they be individual, even it the bundle saves in the long run. But Capcom knows better, only a certain few would be purchased if it were that way. I would have gotten ryu's 1st sf4 alt if it we not bundled with the other shoto alt's. At least this game would be more better at it, they seem to be going for classic or old designs for Capcom as oppose to making up stuff. SF4 had some of the worst designs. marvel already has a ton of designs for most (MODOK?).

Am I the only one that jumped immediately to Nelo Angelo? I know it IS vergil, but that costume is more reminiscent of the time right before/after he became Nelo Angelo in the first DMC.

I expected this to an extent yet I'd expect all the other DLC characters on the disc as well since Jill and Shuma have been revealed already for DLC in a months time. We just don't know who the other 2 are or if there's more coming.

Cap A and Dante look great but I'm not sure about Ryu and Iron Man. Personally I don't care about Ryu as I don't like playing him in any of his initial SF games. Iron Mam could have been better. It seemed like they added a color scheme rather than an actual costume but it's Iron man I think people were hoping for a some added armaments etc.

SF4 costumes were separate, each with its own 10 color slots. So maybe these costumes will have 4 alt colors as well.

It shows him dt at the end of the characters trailer... Didn't have the time to overexamine, but it's certainly not Dante's dmc3 trigger.

On one hand, I'm pissed that marvel didn't give us one set of alternate costumes in the initial game. As IGN put it... very bare bones. And while I'm not one of those people against DLC (it can be done right), I gotta admit this is an obvious ploy.

HOWEVER, these are freaking top notch. They all look so great, so I don't feel all that ripped off.

Oh yeah... ten dollars on World War Hulk being the alternate for Hulk.

Man, that SPARDA dt is much bigger than Dante's. Won't that change the hit box. Maybe this gives hope for Zero's much slimmer GBA version. I hope they give Spencer his Wesker look ... I mean Rearmed, no mustache either.

I's hard to imagine some of the alts for certain characters like the Darkstalkers or Modok? Maybe Morrigan in casual attire or any of her wins. I doubt that Capcom would make stuff up like in SF4, they suck at that. What about Spidey, all of his alt colors already function as different costumes.

Secret Avengers Cap, Iron Patriot, old school Thor. Im loving this game even more. Now just hoping they either put in Mohawk Storm, 90's Storm, Alpha Chun Li(I liked it in SSFIV).

Im hoping however that the modes missed in the disc will be remedied the same way Capcom added stuff like Tournament mode in SFIV. Also, I would like them to add replay mode, that made SSFIV alot more fun.

I didn't think they were gonna be THIS bad with DLC, geeze. So that's two new characters, a new game mode and new costumes already ready at launch that they are charging for separately? Nice.

I like that when they commented on the alt colors, they mentioned that costumes would take too long for the development and release of the game. So we got colors based on costumes instead. Just released and costumes already, something doesn't add up.

I'm not so mad that they are doing this, this is something they never did before, at least until SF4. Especially if its something they continue to develop in the future and not simple something they withheld until after release or locked.

Now if something like Soulcalibur or Tekken or Dead or Alive did this, something that they generally included in previous games (specifically DOA), then I'd be really mad.

To make it worst, people who are possilbe unaware, are cash cowing capcom by buying these stupid ass costumes, when in reality capcom should have spent their time fixing the f*(king spectator mode.

I wonder why they did not make Dante's Alt look like the new Dante in the upcoming DMC remake? You know the one that has a white streak on the side of his bangs and is a Gothic and Emo kind of person who enjoys chain smoking. I am not a fan of the new Dante btw.

I don't see why people want to waste money buying these costumes. The gameplay is so fast that you don't even notice how a character looks.

This is not like SFIV where it's so slow that you can see what they're wearing.

Also, they spend time making alt costumes already when they should have prioritized SPECTATOR MODE! Come on Capcom, you guys suck.

its cool and way better than SF4's alt. At $5 for 6 characters, each costume is just under a dollar. I'd rather they charge $1 per costume separately. In the long run its more expensive, but then we can pick at a few. But Capcom knows they'll make more money bundled. That's why I never got any extras in SF4, just the 1st pack since it came free with the CE. Maybe when the complete bundle pack is released and if the others are just as good.

I'm hoping the dlc characters aren't bundled. Maybe they'll come with their alt costumes already since Capcom should have enough time to work on those.

If DmC Dante had been Dante's alt, I would've lost my s#!t.. Hate Capcom for that. I think Sparda is a sweet alt, tho I would've liked to see DMC4 Dante. Still, it'd be TOO similar to his current costume.

The word "must" would mean it is not an optional purchase, which it is.

The costumes would have cost the same to develop at any time, so you've been given a choice to pay for them as add-ons to the game. Otherwise, their cost would have been added to what you'd pay for the main game, and you'd have had no choice.

The version of the universe where they owe you free costumes, and the version of the past where content was free to you because you earned it with in-game achievements, are both pretend. It was never free.

Instead of simply making the choice to buy or not buy, people like this complain that they have been offered the choice at all. Why? Because they think they deserve free content. Don't expect to be taken seriously when this is the core of your argument.
