Nothing wrong with this, but Capcom sure like to take a lot of my ideas. Why not hire me full time if I make a suggestion, nothing is said, then I see things like this.
Capcom already took my idea about Sheva in Resident Evil 5, yes I have proof! My thread was named "There should be a black protagonist to fight alongside Chris Redfield." They took my idea about the DLC for Marvel vs Capcom 3, even though it was in the context of Marvel vs DC, and now they took my voting idea, which my point that things should be decent and in order rather this chaotic method of hiding and revealing characters.
Anyway I hope we can get a vote for Mega Man X and Bison.
On second thought, this is not quite what I said. If Capcom is using the thread made by the Mods, then it's still "unorderly". I said I would have organized it and then made it neat like Gamespot's vote for the villains. I would market it, possibly during a TV time that teens watch, and then have everyone participate in a decent vote, that would perhaps reveal who wins and who lose. I would get angry if Bison or Mega Man X doesn't win, but that is the risk we take voting in a democratic manner.
It makes me sad that Psylocke will probably win the Marvel side. She's so lame and never does anything interesting in comics... but sex appeal and a tradition of cheesy assists go a LONG way.

I Know, Elektra is way more deserving of a spot, I mean Psylocke had her chance in how many Vs series games, yet Elektra has none under her belt, its really sad that some people would rather have a character that "bounces" rather then a Newcomer who never gotten her/his chance.

I have no problem with classic mega man, but I'd have to agree with #43 (or whatever his original # was). I'd rather see a new character (or in megaman's case, a different version). I hate that Capcom just ported Zero from TvC as oppose to coming up with a better solution as they claimed to. If classic were brought back, change the power ups. Make them more usable, maybe as regular command moves, not one at a time. He's got so many games, don't resuse 7 (or 8, not sure). They got 9 and 10 now.
Preferably, I'd rather have Copy X from the Zero series. It makes sense since Zero is already representing the X series. He's kind of is X anyways but a bad guy, we all know how capcom loves their villains.
Just so you know disconfirmed characters can also be voted in as well. Vote These guys in:
Silver Surfer, he needs to be in, would be epic fighting Galactus. Fighting on his surf board would bring something different to the game play and will be fun.
Apocalypse: would be cool to see him in as a regular sized character, near the size of Sentinel. He would balance Sentinel off, and would have a ton of cool moves and potential.
The Capcom Side lacks villains and they said most if not all characters are not charge type characters. Bison would be good, but he's a charge type character and so is Urien moves. Gill would be better and hasn't been in a crossover yet. Imagine him in 3D, the more epic battles he could have, and the balance hell put on the roster. His move set is original and Gill would play a bit faster. He'll be fun to play, VOTE him in!!
Captain Commando: we need a few of those classic characters from MVC 2 in. They were fun to play. Vote Captain Commando and Strider!
Donovan Baine: This character has tons of potential and the moves to show it, lot of creativity and fun to play im.
@44 I did not tell them to put in Sheva, that was Capcom's idea. I was suggesting to them that they have a character to fight alongside Chris Redfield to calm down the racial tones of the game. While I had detailed descriptions, they chose to go with their own character idea.

@52 I'm pretty sure that your suggestion had nothing to do with it. And it wasn't the "racial tones" either. There were no racial tones in RE5, just media having nothing else to complain about. The fact that any character was added as Chris' partner was just one of the stack of problems with that game.
And I don't know why everyone is so against Phoenix Wright. He's a popular character who's actually relevant, unlike many of the requested fighters. Yeah, he's not a fighting game staple, but that doesn't mean he can't be a good fighter. People are unwilling to give him a chance because they have such a vendetta against him, or assume the only people requesting him don't play fighting games.

Capcoms job is to give movesets to their diverse characters more interestingly the characters you wouldn't see in a fighting game. Giving them a unique movesets makes them interesting and makes it a more creative game.
"Phoenix Wright can't fight" so what? Capcom will think of something, they gave a moveset for amateresu revolving from her game, Heck Jim never fought,only his robot in his game,and yet he made it to 2 mvc games.
Wright doesn't look like fighting type material? No excuse, they gave Servebot a moveset in MvC2 and heck the Original roll got a moveset in Tatsunoko vs Capcom and he fights with a BROOM and a BUCKET OF WATER and yet she was still one of the great characters.

OK, but what about Sieg from Chaos Legion (If anybody remembers that game). Other than the use of a sword, he has a ton of legion assist that can lead to very interesting moves. What about Regina (Dino Crisis) to replace MvC2 Jill as the dino summoner, in case no one likes the new Jill.
But hey, u want a guy who points and shouts. Not that it can't be done, but I think Capcom is sitting on a ton of other characters with just as much or even more potential than some recent series.

In the Ace Attorney games, it is pretty much a visual novel and you don't fight anyone, only finding clues and presenting evidence.
Phoenix Wright is a very interesting character, but there are much better characters (in terms are actually being in a game where you fight something) to be included in Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

These votes for Phoenix Wright are starting to tick me off....There's really no such thing as "wasted slot" but damn it, he would be the closest thing to one. Honestly, are people thinking when they say they want him. I challenge ANYONE to come up with a viable movelist for him, because I have yet to see that or any other reasoning as to why he should be in this game.
Anyway, as if it matters here, but on the capcom side: I'd really like to see folk who aren't the full-on obvious choices (X and Strider. Really think people putting votes to those guys). But as for Newcomers, I think if Viper could fit, Juri could fit as well. If a SF4 rep can get more exposure, then why not SSF4? I understand that the game was still in production by the time super was even released, but now's as good a time as any. I'd like another DMC character as well: Vergil/Nero/Lady, either one of those would be pretty nifty, although Jill or even Chris may make Lady obsolete.

eh if people really want him in then im sure capcom can or already have a moveset for him to use. While personally i could careless if they add him or not but people like him so why not. If anything they could just make him a good onpoint battery character that can build crazy meter but crappy damage(like a non annoying servbot) and his fame objection crap could be a super that temporarily stops chip damage for an allotted time. i never played the games i dont know anything about him so its what ever lol.
Lol C.Viper already played like a vs character from the get go, juri on the other hand not so much. But im always up for more females characters being added just if they do put her in, the button holding for her projectiles is gonna create a problem due to having only 3 attacking buttons so that alone is gonna mess with her being in the game.
Guess that never crossed your mind, cant hold 3 fireballs cause you wont have any attack buttons to use and being only able to hold 1 fireball or something is gonna ruin her from her ssf4 playstyle.

@95 I did take into account of her stacking fireballs. But if folks think the people at Capcom can give a lawyer with no fighting background a viable moveset, then why not tweak Juri a bit. She'd be different, but not a brand new character. I think that you may have thought that I was hating on Viper's inclusion, but I wasn't. She fits wonderfully and approve of the addition. In a few ways, i'm glad she's in over Juri, but would still like to see her in action in MvC3, SSF4 playstyle be damned. Someone not expected like many others in the current roster =)

No character is impossible. Capcom has turned the unlikely into fighters on more than one occasion with people like son son or mega man. Even SNK, with Metal Slug. Wright can be done.
However, I do feel that's he a bit too new to be skipping the waiting list of some of the other guys (or series) Capcom has been ignoring. Sure Rival Schools has had some exposure and DMC is long overdue, but others like Falcon (Power Stones) deserve more than a stage cameo (CvS2).
Sure, maybe Capcom is saving some characters for a different company, they've been hinting on more vs' for quit a bit. This obviously wont happen with tekken since it already has been limited to SF but they better not repeat these excuses with whatever their next cross over may be.

Ok, first off as phoenix wright would be holding a briefcase as he fights. (he's a lawyer so why not.)
light neutral - punch
medium neutral - kick
heavy neutral - swings the briefcase
hadoken movement- Objection, Hold it, Take that!, (depends on the button pressed to where it shows up on the screen, much like dormammu's black holes.)
Z-motion (shoryken movement) - epic finger point and pulls phoenix in the air.
special one - calls von karma so a full screen whip attack
Special two - Phoenix gets the aw crap face and goes digging into his brief case while throwing out stuff looking for something, finds a bomb and throws it. (i'm taking this from somewhere but i don't remember where -_-)
Lvl 3 hyper combo- Pulls out his attorney bags and charges at the character, if it hits goes into the animation of Giant Gavalen smash.

Yeah, Phoenix Wright moveset is pretty easy.
Evidence Toss like Hsien-ko's random projectiles, with the attack button used determining the arc of the projectile. Probably be famous evidence from the franchise. QCF+Atk
OBJECTION/HOLD IT/TAKE THAT could use the Shoryuken motion, with attack button determining which phrase you get. Word bubble that has different effects. TAKE THAT could reflect projectiles that collide with the bubble, HOLD IT could temporarily stun opponents, and OBJECTION could just cause wallboune or be a counter move.
Magatama could reveal psyche-locks that control space, like MODOK's barriers. Could also work like Web Ball, but with chains. QCB, button determines the placement of the lock (if they're barriers).

well capcom might see that strider is popular, but since he is a licensed ordeal and they already said his mechanics didnt work well with the game engine he wont make it
now i can see venom and thanos going in i mean if you go by popularity, why not go with two of the most popular villains of the marvel universe.
as for capcom...phoenix might make it i mean i wouldnt be surprised, but i still rather see frank west get in due to him being so far in development, but i bet he will be retooled into DLC
i hope we can see joe saotome, Captain Commando, and my personl homeboy anarkis get in from capcom
i mean if marvel is going to have a large marvel character like sentinel, then why not have a big mummy guy from Darkstalkers?
i also see people want twelve...i can see why, his shape shifting powers would be useful, but if i remember correctly they didnt use demitri because of his shape shifting powers...

What do u mean his mechanics dont wrk with their engine? They can make MODOK but cant put a mvc legend like strider!! They gotta make it wrk especially when lames like phoenix wright a.k.a hakan jr. I know I'm kinda late to the party, but I want to get my two cent in. I would love to see someone from the classic Megaman series, if only because I WANT MY MEGAMAN TEAM DARN IT! Think about it, Zero, Tron B., and ether original Megaman, Bass, Protoman, Wily, or a Robot Master (Tenguman being my personal favorite), though I wouldn't mind Strider or Frank West.
And as for the Marvel side, I would like to see a Spidey villain. Ether Venom, Doc Ock (if it is him, I'd guess he be like Dhalsim, but without a teleport) Mystrio could be fun if he was made right, but (and I doubt it would be him) I would like to see Sandman in MvC. Think about it, he's made of sand, Capcom could do some interesting and really cool stuff with him if he was designed correctly. Anyway, just a though.

While I voted for Phoenix Wright, I think other AA characters such as Godot or Franziska would probably work better. Godot in particular can be made awesome:
1- He has the same speech attacks as Wright ("Objection", etc.).
2- He has a coffee cup projectile.
3- They can give him Cyclops' Optic Blasts; it suits him well.

Personally I switched my obscure/Shu Takumi character choice to Ghost Trick's Sissel lol. Spoilers aside, he's a ghost who can teleport and manipulate random objects almost telekinetically (he can slap you with a desklamp, diagonally slash you with a railway crossing gate,etc.).

I agree with Godot or Franziska working better, but Naruhodou is the only one who could make the cut, being somehow known. You shouldn't have linked that T&T picture though, someone's bound to click there even with the warning...

Have a feeling siliver surfer is already in if they have sorted the difficulties with his board/hitbox (cant remember what the problem was.

@204 There are over 400 pages for most of these votes, i doubt someone has that kind of time.
I took a gander at some of the votes and I have to say im a little disappointed, majority is just all recycled MvC2 charcters, I mean why? We gonna waste potential votes for Psylock, Cable, Gambit, Rouge, and whatever, basically just MvC2 again? At least the Capcom side is a bit more creative impact even if I hate Gene and Pheonix Wright at least they are orignal.
Well nothing you can do, I only hope Capcom has enough sense to not take the Votes too literal and see what character would give the best diversity in the game. These votes ARE not garunteed,even if a character recieves a large number of votes Capcom has the final word.
Well, someone earlier in the comments mentioned they'd counted up the votes when we were around 200 pages, so I was wondering if they or someone else had completed it.

@204 That's because it's a Capcom forum, a lot of people (such as myself) know very little or even nothing about Marvel beyond MvC2.
@205 You can easily do it yourself by searching in that thread for a character name, the number of results is a pretty accurate approximation (although it's hard to specify Mega Man X for example).
I honestly don't see why so many people think Phoenix Wright will be a good addition. Especially so when you have so many other Capcom characters that are truely worthy of this game (ex: Megaman, Strider, Jin, Captain Commando, Bison, etc. etc.) We have enough new characters from Capcom in this entry.. we need more classics from the past games. Some stupid spikey haired lawyer doesn't belong in a fighting game.. and definitely not Mahvel. Period.
