There have been a lot of reports of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 being sold at various places around the United States today, even though the game is officially set for a February 15, 2011 release date.i hope i can find a store in florida because its lame where im at =0
I'll just wait for my copy to come in the mail. I wouldn't mind playing a retail demo at a Gamestop or something though. Why's it gotta be best buy? How is Gamestop NOT an option? Sells games.
Anyone know when Best Buy usually ships their pre-orders? Is it on day of release, or do they ship it a few days in advance to MEET the release date, so to speak?
I heard pomona swampmeet is selling (california Pomona in LA county)
If anyone in the Orlando area finds a seller please let me know. I'll gladly cancel my preorder to play this game as soon as possible
@tmfan
I've called four BestBuys and they all say that the are releasing it Feb 15th. Sorry but I doubt that there will be any selling it early.
I'll just wait until midnight release. I already paid for mine and it's the special edition. I got an early copy of SSFIV last year and to me getting it earlier or later just did'nt matter, juat gave you bragging rights, nothing more or nothing less plus it was a pain to find, found it at a K-Mart of all places. 3 days left (2 if your doing midnight release)
#8 I agree, don't know what Capcom was thinking. Best Buy is a terrible place to promote MvC3. If they did it at Gamestop, every gamestop would have it on display but Bestbuy is one of those places that have rude customer service and employees that are not passionate about games so they will not go out of their way to display the game over let's say "Kinectimals." But whatever, 3 days left.
Final thing. DO NOT promote illegal downloading guys, Capcom can be a pain but your not helping by rigging your system to download pirated games. If you get it early fine, but BUY THE FREAKIN GAME!!! Your hurting the fighting game franchise by illegally downloading. I will snitch on anyone doing so in a heart beat, very serious about.
Have fun!
@ Catalyst
Well, it's not that hard to find the download and I'm sure those that do download illegal games have already done so. With that said, I know a few places you can get them early; anywhere. You just need to either work at a game store or know someone that works there.
If anyone in the Kissimmee, FL area knows of a store where I could find MVC3: Special
Edition, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
The stupid Gamestop here has them in, but when I told the employee to meet me at the park on Broadwater at midnight, she hung up on me.
DigitalRivers emailed stating that my Special Edition has been shipped. Thought I would give them another chance ever since they screwed up with the last order I placed with them when SF4 Collector's Edition was released. I am on my midnights with my job this week anyway. Izzy can wait.
Ok your dumb if you think the big name brand places are gonna sell you the game early by just callin in and asking unless you know someone personally there I doubt. Only mom and pop stores sell em early here in NYC a lot of those mom and pop stores got copies yesterday and are selling them today. Good luck. I'll be getting mines Midnite release since I paid for my special edition.
Just to reiterate......
For all of you SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA people out there: The stores called "Game Play" in both Los Angeles and Long Beach has them.. However, they only have PS3 copies available.. I caled both places an hour ago and both places had PS3 copies but no Xbox 360 copies..... The L.A. store said that they are going to have Xbox 360 copies on monday...
I'm getting the game big time. Buying it shows support for CAPCOM and the fighting game franchise.
(Bah, no fair! I <3 you Amazon but...DO EET!)
Data Blitz has them. I am going to get my copy tomorrow. It comes with a free man sized poster if you buy a copy earlier and it comes out tomorrow here in the Philippines! MABUHAY!
Game Play in Pomona(SoCal), in the Indian Hill Marketplace, had both 360 and PS3 copies when I left.
Justin Wong posted this on his twitter..
"Mvc3 has to be the easiest and cheapest fighting game that was ever made...."

When a pro says this, it makes me worry!
Every character can at least take half health with a combo into a hyper.. =S
@55
I understand what you mean, but its the fact of how lame matches will be if you get me?
It just looks kinda stale in a way. The rush down characters all seem to be able to play keep away well to build meter and for positioning etc. where as the keep away characters, M.O.D.O.K for example, will just get owned as soon as anyone gets past his game. Dante can DHC into Deadpool and knock like 3/4 health off.
I only play Capcom fighters, so I am not about to pirate something that I love. Also, think about how much time these guys put into getting this game out. So go out and support Capcom by buying the game so they can continue to give us great games like MvC3 in the future.
Sales determine how much additional love they will put into this game. We don't want to get undermined by Monster Hunter.
JWong and Marn got their copies today they said so on twitter.
