ill try it but not diggin the knub joystick at all weres the dpad dont change things that work just make better quality parts that last longer plz
The man said NeoGeoPocket, the greatest handheld never played. I loved that pad stick. Sold!
Is Candace up for sale as well¿ I'd like to buy her with the pad. >.<
If it had sanwa like buttons(curved inward with a nice click) and a more of a joy stick like analog stick it'd be better imo
And wtf is up with that art, namely charaters like spider woman who is not in the game aand besides in name nothing to do with spiderman in normal marvel(she got her powers a different way, she has different powers and actually raised by villians inside HYDRA).
I think he beat me on xbox live. I was hoping his name was a joke or something and that I didn't get beat by a guy using 1 hand
facepalm, sometimes they just so retarded, sigh, anyway, they put alot of efort in a controller that is crearly not useful, to begin with it has 6 buttons on the front, that retarded, the design is horrible, whoever thought this is a viable controller should be fired right now
I'm getting this thing, it's exactly what I've been looking for for MvC3. Too bad it's ugly as sin. As SIN.
yeah #11
im like wtf i know him from some where then i look at his hand like (face palm) that one handed terror
@16 lmao. I've fought him too, and I heard he was good here on the forums, but I didn't take him too seriously considering his handicap. I payed the price haha.
@Ex_Ein:
The art is from Marvel's recent Siege event.
omegazero uses trolling!
it's not very effective....
Im curious, and interested.
Been looking for a pad to play with (in addition to my TE stick) and this one actually looks pretty nice compared to the other ones out on the market.
Plus it's relatively cheap (although the same as the other pads).
Will wait for reviews.
A siege panel that's what it is, well siege while a decent conclusion to an isane year in marvel comics id gone for more heroic age stuff especially stuff from john romita jr(aka jrjr) since his art is strangley fitting but different like this pad and its stick or an orginal piece by a marvel artist for MVCE. But yeah if they fixed some of those issues I mentioned in later iterations id buy that for a dollar or 40.
I'm diggin the analog with switches. I'm hoping it has a square gate too or at least an octagonal. It desperately needs a redesign though, While the art is very nice by itself, the way it's used is a travesty of art. The buttons looks like ass too. They would've been better off painting this thing in a very bland and basic way then trying to get fancy and making this artistic monstrosity.
So lots of potential...but it looks like sh*t. Lets hope the play is worth it because the cost is nice.
@#32 Thats not true I play on the 360 controller and it works just as well as any form of joystick
At 1st glance, I thought this was just a wannabe Mad Catz fight pad, but seeing the video, I can see the effort that was put into this thing.
I'm a stick player, but when I play pad, I claw the right hand, in order to get that arcade like play. Using just my thumb for fighting games is really slow for me.
Having that extra grip on the left is a brilliant idea, as well as micro switches. I might buy if I pick up Marvel on 360, but then again, my stick is dual modded.
Interesting.... looks to be a nice step up from the regular 360 pad. Though I am looking to buy an arcade stick in the future... I don't wanna lug that thing around all the time lmao. This looks to be a nice thing to bring when I'm playing with some friends <3
any one else hear him mention playin arcade edition? or am i taking it the wrong way?
#3 I don't care if it looks like someone vomit on it, if it works im buying it, I was getting use to the button lay out on the classic controller for TvC which works really well, this would be great for MvC3.
#12 OHT does NOT work for capcom but he does work as a manager for a prephriel company which I think made this controller, don't know the name but he visit's Hong Kong for a few days for a buisness meeting.

He also has a ton of videos of Chun Li and Dudley gameplay you can learn from.
What no Pad for Ps3 yet... More time for me to save money to buy this pad when it's released for Ps3. But in the meantime I will buy a new stick for MvC3 <3 cant wait >=) 9 more days.
It doesn't look that bad (my opinion as a stick user) but with any pad is my complaint that it doesn't look very weighty if not incredibly fragile in the casing. One of the key selling points of a pad or stick for me is its weight, sturdy feel, keeps hands down and right on the right buttons, and won't shift during the action. It's just that a one-handed grip is not really making me want to buy this at all. Nothing stick or pad can compare to my MvC TE stick (except price-wise) but some people aren't ready to drop for a stick but this is looking to be a better alternative for someone weening from a d-pad.
This is absurd. They must think this design first before launch the SSFIV pad. Back and Start buttons well placed, and a decent mini joystick.
I'm more of a pad player, since I started out on SF2 on the SNES. I'm only halfway decent with a stick when it's built into an arcade cabinet, but I finally found a comfortable setup for playing with my MCR2TE. The MCFP's for PS3 suck, imo, because they only come wireless, and are battery dependent, while the XB360's are just how I like - wired. The thing is, I can't always fully implement what I WANT to execute in a game like SSF4, when the MCFP's are SO crappily designed/made. Doing a DP motion from the right-going-left is such a chore on the XB360's MCFP, but works just fine on the PS3's. The select/back and start buttons are VERY badly placed, being in the middle of the pad with the equally annoying XB360/PS3 buttons, and it's SO easy to hit them in the middle of matches.
I like the select/back and start button placement on this PDP pad. I'm not an analog stick player at all, and I HATED the clicky bullsh*t with NGCD gamepads, but the microswitch actuators MAY make for a sturdier, more precise gaming experience for the fighting games I want to play, and play at my best. Traditionally, the rubber parts that go between the actual buttons you press and the contact points on a pad's circuitboards depreciate with wear-and-tear, and as rough as anyone could get with a pad with such parts, through NORMAL gameplay habits, the pads only have so much shelf-life.
MadCatz has ALWAYS sucked since the NES days, and for too long, it has pissed me off how they seemed to have a monopoly on "decent" fighting game PADS for the next/current gen consoles. Oh, and as bad as I think the current gen's 6-button pads are, if you EVER tried out the PS2's for games like SFA Anthology, they are HORRIBLE, imo. If I MUST have my SFZ3/SFA3 fix, or play any iteration of SF3, I will play the Dreamcast versions and use the Sega Saturn's STOCK 6-button pads with adaptors. TO THIS DAY, those are still THE best 6-button pads, IMO, for Capcom fighting games, and for MVC2, I prefer the stock Dreamcast pad.
MadCatz may make a nice stick, but they suck @ss when it comes to pads. The only non-stock pads I ever liked for any console were turbo controlpads for the SNES by "Ascii". They actually rocked.
Anyway, I'll take a chance on two of these PDP controllers, and with overnight shipping, I'm about $100 in. I hope it's a worthwhile invetsment. If not, no biggie. MVC3 is worth it, and while I ALWAYS planned to take a near-indefinite hiatus from SSF4, I might even start playing that game again if these controllers work to my liking.
I hope to see more competition for MadCatz - I hate 'em. Hori has a pad, but it doesn't impress me. I currently use the new XB360 pad that has the rotating/adjusting digital cross pad, but the buttons need more "breaking in". If the PDP pads dont' work out, I'll just continue working with this pad.
I've been using the MadCatz Fightpad since it came out; it gets the job done as I have no problems mashing inputs into the dpad. However, one flaw I did find in the pad is that they put the digital/analog switch in the bad of the pad where your fingers meet, so often times I would accidently switch during a fight.
Damn thing leaves your left thumb stationary...cant have that.
I am so buying 1 of these. :)
