Also, Vesper Arcade has a good series on PLinking that was posted back in November, which you can look over as well. Sent in by Pow.
Agh, I still don't get. I'll never get good at SSF4. Oh well, I'm more of a Vs. type guy anyways.
@YoshinatorZ With Link Combos you have to watch your timing to make them happen for example Fai-Long s.MP>c.MP you can't press MP as fast as you can it won't combo you have to let s.MP finish its animation them do c.MP in order for those 2 hits to connect with P-Linking it gives you more chances to land that timing.
Since when pressing 2 buttons with P-Link technique the game is registering the same button twice thus you have to chances to land the combo
great vid got lost kinda on the chart but helps @2 i know how u feel buddy @3 yeah good advice but just takes practice and and a calm hand while playing i think thats y sooo many people end up mashing cause they get overexcited
It's not as complicated as it sounds guys. Even if you have to review it more than once, you will soon begin to understand it enough. There are actually videos that can explain it better if this one doesn't do it for you.
And strangely enough, I liked the whole remixed Fei Long sounds.
@Delirium
How is this even complicated? The chart should have made it so easy to understand.
@8 The chart is the worst f'cking part! Tell me someone who doesn't understand Plinking would understand it after looking at that. Doubtful.
Plinking is so stupidly simple and people try to make all these ridiculous examples out of "pressing two buttons at almost the same time." If you didn't get plinking when it was first discovered (bit.ly/cXiWnO), this tutorial isn't going to help.
"Plinking" is basically pushing more than one button ALMOST at the same time [With the higher priority input button being pressed first of course; ie Fierce punch instantly followed by medium punch, jab button].
That is the simplest way too "plink."
@9 It's not that people don't understand the concept for plinking, it's more or less they just can't do it. I have the same problem I can't hold my fingers in a way that I will be able to hit fierce a frame earlier then strong. I either hit them too far apart and it won't register as a plink, or I hit them at the same time. Don't act high and mighty if you can do it, when it's not even necessary if you learn the timing to hit the next button when trying to link.
I already know how this stuff works. I judge this tutorial as making the topic of plinking easy and simple. Of course, that is not the reason why I watched this...
Fei Long's alt.
PLEASURE DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU!!! WAATAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice one for informations
I've made something usefull myself
I don't know if this is already online, but i made a new SSFIV of my old GGen COmbo from Vanilla:

Hope it may help someone
@3
Yeah I still don't get, but thanks for the advice. I've been doing alot better lately in the game, just not like pro better. Mainly just luck, spamming EX-Messiah Kick. I do know some combos, I have a really hard time Focus Attack dash canceling, but I've gotten better and pulled it off once or twice in a match.
@x_Who_Is_Alpha - Anytime I see you post your tone always makes you sound like such an elitist, just thought I'd point that out.
Personally, I liked the Vesper Arcade tutorial better. I already understand plinking as well but this video really doesn't do a very good job explaining it. The music is distracting and the text is pretty much unhelpful.
I never use plink in his cMP links, its justs feel natural to me, I plink in chicken wing > sHP > rekkas. hey fei has been SERIOUSLY BUFFED!! compared to his vanilla days when his highest damage came from jHK > sHK > super =540 but comeon his half hit ultra after chicken wing combe =586! damn, no wonder he is considered godlike now.
he still requires lot of skill to play efffectively
WAAAAATTAAAAAHHHHH!!!
@Ryu_Apprentice it was just an example but yeah Chicken Wing>s.HP is were P-Linking is more needed
@YoshinatorZ Im no expert either but I understand these techniques and mechanics from what have learn from these types of tutorial
I can pull it off from time to time in battle sometimes it work sometimes I fail
judging from your post i suggest you forget about P-Linking for now and concentrate on what's giving you trouble look for tutorials to help you in that area and take it 1 step at a time
Those remixed Fei wataah sounds are so funny..
