dissapointing the game already gives a easy way to learn combos, so people will get lazy an wont even care about trying somethin new, but anyway, must people will surely will only care about ways of DHC that kill characters in 1 combo, that ok, marvel 2 was the same, but im sure marvel 3 will be about cheaping your oponent to death
This looks good. I'll have an idea of what I'm doing when I get the game. A great starting point.
The only problem I see is you can't see what the next move is to come once your mid-way through the more intermediate combos
I think it's a good starting point as well as the fact it'll help new comers to MvC and fighters in general get execution and understandability of what to do. :)
Out of all the characters Phoenix has the biggest mountain to climb but I think some people will be up for the challenge.
It would sure be nice if they showed how much damage these combos do.
I'm very interested in seeing what Spidey has to do.
It'll be nice to see something that isn't the standard 3hits-launcher-2hits-Maximum Spider. Worryingly, that's all Spidey seems to have in his arsenal if you go by every video we've seen of him so far. Perhaps mission mode has some nice surprises in store.
her combos are good as hell but its such a risk using her against other characters
dont nobody care about phoenix yes she has good moves an attacks she dies to quick hmph waste of time

They do. The player just didn't have attack data turned on.
In my early matches at least, I'm probably just going to blow my dark Dark Phoenix load as soon as I can in the match and utilize her assist properties.
Viper's in this game....Here we go with the Viper trials again FUUUUUUUUU
#16 Im afraid to say this but people are just lazy. More than likley when this comes out your only gonna run into online playes that utilize the same rush down and same combo without any variance. Gimmicky stuff. No one wants to take the time to utilize Training mode for more than combos.
People need to learn how to create set ups, mix ups, traps. They need more than one way to apply a rush down. they need to learn how to defend one too.
We are blessed with such a fully functional Training mode and sadly people are not gonna take advantage of it except for learning "That combo" they seen on Youtube. I'll probably jump the gun online but rest assured, I took days off of work and i'll be learning the ins an outs of my characters, I hope you guys will do the same and take some chances, this includes using Pheonix.
You people talk like there's something wrong with playing the game casually. Believe it or not, there are still people out there who play video games for escapism. If those people don't want to slave away in training mode (that is if they even had time to do so) and use some bread-and-butter combos they saw on youtube, that's more than fine.
Just have fun.
@26 Well I guess I should have been more specific. You know, since this is the internet.
I guess im speaking more about people who "do" take it seriously, well. Sort of. Im talking about people who think they are "nice" but are just carbon copies of the next joe.
If people want to play casually and they find it fun, by all means go for it. But part of the fun comes from experimenting and trying new things in training mode and im just encouraging people give it a try, thats all.
This is always a good place to start for newbies.
I remember even Vanilla SF4's trials helped me practice some of that game's links, so I could only imagine how much it helps a beginner get into the groove of more complicated combos to have a mode like this.
die fast doesn't mean the character is bad.
Strider, magneto die fast in mvc2 too.
Zero dies fast in tvc.
Seth, Akuma super low health in ssf4.
@ xShonuffx
I see where you're coming from now. If a hardcore player adopts minimum-effort attitude early on, I'd hope the tournament scene would sober them up quickly.
you guys are trying too hard too defend phoenix with your facts about previous games that don't matter when it comes to mvc3.magneto had normal health which was almost low health, seth has low and few people use him in ssf4,akuma has low health but hes not really a low health character.strider maybe, but this is mvc3!phoenix died in 7 hits. i don't think strider would die from a gamma crush combo like this one
She just have the lowest of the lowest of health she will die from one combo from anybody and on this game there's a lot of things going on while fighting so you can get hit by anything very easily another thing to add is the X-Factor that boost damage making even harder for her survival
People, I really love this game but just because the fact of its simply existence... but I really dont want it to be an upset, and this combo debate has been for a long time in this forums. Dont know what all of you thing, but I see this combos as straight simple sh1t
Haha so many Phoenix haters cause of her low HP. But hey its all good more phoenix for me I guess.
You all talk like noobs thinking that her low health is really a factor in the game. That's why it's a team-based game. Your teammates make up for what you lack and besides, what makes you guys think she's gonna die that easily considering how fast she builds meter, her mobility, 8-way dash, instant teleport and healing field... I'm pretty sure when this game comes out and when you get your butts handed to you by good Phoenix users, you'd be crying "Broken, nerf her!" I can't wait.
Can't wait!
