inb4 "zomg broken game"
It used 4 bars, is corner specific, and can likely be gotten out of or stopped. So you'd have to be letting yourself lose to let it happen.
I don't mind 100% combos if they're universal to the cast. As Seth said, that's what makes the MvsC franchise so great: it's dangerous. One hit can mean so much.
4 meters and x factor, not OP at all :D ( im seriously not being sarcastic although it looks that way lol)
A four-bar, x-factor, corner only, character specific combo had BETTER net you at least 90% of their health.
I like that they made it so much more costly in MVC3 to 100% anyone, it helps balance risk/reward.
Also, you can change assist types in the training menu! Sweet!
100% combos are a waste it only kills one character and you should use it when having only one character left or want to kill a sentinel.
These aren't impressive when its a level 3 and a x-factor, but you can already tell once skilled players get there hands on it, it wont take that much to do a 100%. Just wish these combos weren't so easy, but whatever.
If it's this easy with Iron Man (X-Factor and Corner and Meter Prohibiting) then I can only wait for Shuma.
could he possibly x-factor into another smart bomb back into proton cannon? hmmm I need a copy of the game right meow.
for fun? yes. for competition? no.
I think the game is overhyped. too much random faktor, unblockable setups, 100% combos and it is intended to be broken... dunno why everyone gets so hyped about it. ofc it makes fun, but that does smashborthers aswell, and do we see weekly live streams about it? no - it's just not intended to be a serious competitive game.
What I think is kinda lame is that every character that can OTG and follow up with a lvl1 hyper, than lvl3 can pretty much do the exact same sequence of moves leading to the same result, that is 100% combo. Wesker at least has that. I'm sure there are other characters also. We'll have the capabitily to get mad creative with this game, but ppl can also keep it simple and have good results. Maybe skilled players with find 100%s that require less meter or something. Anyway the game is still gonna be the best, and pretty much the only game I'll play for a really long time.
That's the coolest combo ever, 116 hits gives you a Galactic. he's not OP in the thire one, but he's OP in the second one.
@23
Either that was the most sarcastic comment I've ever read, or you're trolling.
Or you're not paying attention. The game isn't intended to be broken, it's lauded by plenty of pros as being the next big competitive title, and is FAR more technical than it looks. Comparing this game to Smash Bros shows a SERIOUS lack of understanding of the game (and I love Smash Bros). Also, random faktor? What in the hell are you referring to?
You gotta be trollin' me.
Magneto infinite last until 40 hits in mvc2
dante's combo last until 50 hits in mvc3
OP MUCH?
Off topic here. My friend suddenly decided he wanted the Special Edition for MvC3 after I told him Jill is in it, but the stores around here are out. If he buys it from the Capcom store will it arrive on the 15? I looked at the store and couldn't find a street date.
I see the combo is very economical. For people complaining, no one will ever use this as it requires you to save meter for it instead of using it to DHC and requires you to burn X-Factor. It's not likely to have these conditions met and down to your last character especially because I don't see Spiral in this game.
@21 X-Factor is activated pressing the four attack buttons, it gives you more speed and strength, but you can only use it once per match.
Damn... I think it is well balanced because for example when Iron Man faces with other fighters, if their lives all are full, Iron Man could kill them using 4 or 5 levels.
I hope characters like Spider-Man (who just have three Level-1 Hypers) can be able to pull off stuff close to this. I guess Dante can do a 100% using an OTG Hyper, X-Factor, and a second Hyper, but that dude's broken.
He had ONE opportunity to roll, so it's all good.
Meh, maybe using that combo at the end of the game would be smart, but using it in the beggining would be a waste, unless you are facing somebody who gives you a extremely hard time. All and all, it is win/lose situation. You lose your X-factor and up'd your opponents x-factor, however you killed one of their team members and make them lose an assist, seems balanced too me.
Ironman sux. Sentinel's CKC is a lot more practical:
