Round 2 of GameSpot/Capcom's Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tournament

GameSpot has Round 2 footage of a Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tournament that was held in conjunction with Capcom a little ways back. This again features a brief interview with Seth Killian and some match commentary.

ya dante will be the default main that people use but see if anyone is smart they should work on a team or character that naturally counters him. I already have 3 solid in mind.

Fack counters I'ma use Wesker, Viper and someone else I like, no matter how many Dante's there will be. Obviously my 3rd character won't be Dante haha, but if he wasn't to be overused I would have had him to fill the spot. My team would've looked so good, all black like the Turks from FF7, or the Matrix. X-23 and Trish don't look cool enough to do the job. Maybe Jill if her playstyle is fun.

I wish Tron didn't get knocked out so quickly. I wanted to see some Tron action, and seeing some Skrull would have been nice. I'll just have to wait about a week to try them out myself.

I was impressed by 13:51 - 14:04. Finished the combo with a hyper, X-Factor canceled into the counter Hyper, then DHC'd to Dante.

(Tron got knocked out quickly because they didn't use her properly....no special move sightings...at all

That was some crazy stuff. Chris(I think it was?) really showed us some prime Wesker footage. Looks like Morrigan +meter assist will be instrumental in punishing folks.)

I may get flak for this but I am sooo glad that F.Champ/ Ryan got knocked out of this tournament.

Kudos to Cannon for shutting down that spam and putting people on notice that nothing is ever absolute, there is a way around everything. Too bad he got knocked out though.

Urgh, is there any game that F.Champ doesn't play like a total wuss in? He's like...the loudest, biggest ****-talker...yet plays runaway/keepaway pretty much exclusively. Kinda amusing actually...

The Wesker, Dante, Zero player made me happy just because I've finally seen Wesker in action.

Wesker's counter hyper seemed really effective, unlike Fei's U2 that takes 12 hours to recover. I also wonder if he could have used Wesker's ground shot for knocked down players.

This one is worth watching. Also, Seth's commentating is great, as always.

The YouTube comments for this video make me laugh. So many fools complaining about spam, cheapness, and overpowered characters...

Trish punish Dormamu with a air combo into her Hyper and didn't KILL! him the damage just stopped.

Is really sad when you see a character such as Magneto survive 3 Hyper Combos one of them with X-Factor and still lives yet The Phoenix gets easily kill with one combo her low health is extremely ridiculous

Damn............these fights were something else when compared to the previous round.......did you people saw that awesome wesker? with teleports , in game and well placed hypers? Thats the kind of fight that i wanted to see (excepet for the first part with the spamming of magnetic disruptor..............that was simply lame)........better watch out for dante......he is gonna get you with his absurd priority and abusable hyper

MUCH better matches in this video. Barry Husky got absolutely embarassed in that middle match-up, but the two Tom Cannon matches were awesome. Good on Tom for taking out that beam-firing coward Ryan Ramirez, shame he couldn't get anything done on Chris.

Wonder why Captain America has such strange, muffled-grunt sounding voice acting. I wish they'd have chosen a couple more characters. I got bored watching Wesker---or rather, I was hoping to see some other characters in action at the tourney. Also, has anyone there heard of a facial wash/gym/eating in moderation? JK.

I was cheering for Tom using such a great Dormammu. I'm torn from either picking MODOK, Dormammu or Trish. Trish is closer to Doronjo and Dormammu has some neat tricks and MODOK for trolling and that theme. Can't decide.

also that Magneto player needs to go bed. Really sad I didn't get to see Tron doing anything. It's okay Tron, I'll avenge you!

Rather have a character with ridiculous amount of moves at top then a random super speed projectile user.

My speculations might be a bit off, but doesn't ALOT of Dante's moves seem to have rather long recovery time?
He'll definetly be one of the top tho, no doubt, he has to many options.

@57 dhc is delayed hyper combo. It is basically switching to another character during a super move so that they can use their super it is both an offensive and defensive tactic. thc is using 2 or 3 supers at once using the team it is not as strong as dhc so not many people use it.

Tom Cannon pretty bad ass with Dormmamu. I can only imagine how much more bad ass his Dormmamu will be once he hits practice mode and learns some new tricks. This was so helpful. I was planning on making Dormmamu one of my mains this video was well worth the 22minutes of watching thanks.
