Bat top? Are they bringing back the Happ stick for MVC3?
If it's bat-top, I imagine it will be octo-gate as well. I've gotten really used to the square gate. It's rather silly to not go all the way, and add concave happ parts as well.
a) It has a bat top but still looks like a Sanwa JLF. Happ/iL have different looking shaft and dust covers.
b) Why would you expect an octagon gate? Happ/iL sticks don't even have a gate at all. They do have a circular feel/motion to them. To make a Sanwa or Seimitsu stick feel like old American cabs, you would need a circle gate.
c) Please give us removable artwork so we can easily customize the top panel without paying extra.

Yeah MK stick it is I have a bat top for my stick cuz when I was younger it's what I liked in the arcades but I got use to the ball and feel weird using the bat but anyways yeah just show the stick alrdy what's Gonna be so special about this stick what cuz it's made American style lol it's not hard to change the other sticks gates n stick they should of did this a long time ago now people gonna be use to the ball lol
and y mortal kombat stick just because color and bat stick remember that this pic was in response to the bad remarks they got fron the mvc3 te stick so im sure they can use one like it for mk but it should be the mvc stick
An Mortal Kombat TE with Sanwa parts looks I'l be replacing those sanwa buttons with Siemitsu or Happs if i could find Happs that could fit I'm keeping that JLF but i might replace that with a LS-32 long story short I'm hyped this is a day 1 buy for me.
It's a Mortal Kombat stick. The font isn't very Street Fighter.

Then again, they already have an official MK stick bundled with the game... so I dunno. It's cool that they're finally makin an American stick. Balltop w/ square gate is not what most (99.999%) of Americans played with growing up.
Grew up with bat top and adapted to ball top. I don't think I can make the switch back. Is this a hint that a possible future mvc3 arcade version would be bat? Hmmmm....
The Happ/Il stick has a slightly longer shaft than this image suggests. Happ also uses square actunators which move on their switches without the need for a "gate" of any sort. The result is obviously a more circular feel. Say what you will about Sanwa vs Happ; however, I do believe that at least in this regards (and this is just my personal opinion here), Happ has the better design where the actunator is concerned.
I to believe this merely to be a JLF with the optional bat-top. Perhaps, this time around, MadCatz is looking to promote a custom-made-to-order TE stick? Rather than base models that joe-sausage head has to mod himself... as long as I am dreaming.
Ewwwww... Bat top... But since it's an MK stick it's useless for any other game besides MK, so only idiots would actually buy it
