Who says Seth needed that J.HP arm move? Look at the potential this guy brings out in the character even without using it!
Daigo, Mago, Tokido, etc. would tear him up. His rushdowns are unsafe and easily taken advantage of by pros who know how to mix it up.
did no1 think to mash reversal during the blocked normals loool thats the kinda fighter you have to be offensive back at to actually win, get him scared with dp's and start your own rush down.

While i do agree with your point i must also say that Poongko is very good so you should give him some respect at least.

@9 I have to agree, most of the videos I've seen of Poognko, theres a lot of unnecessary meter usage or combos that with major damage scaling. It's sometimes interesting to watch some of his matches. But I'd rather watch someone play at a greater efficiency at a more professional level.

we had this topic and discussion before! poonko won a lot of major tourny's already in korea (ssf4) by using seth! again as i say search around youtube! he's not being a flashy player anymore but more into efficiency damge combos and more mindf*ck games! there were once he lost on a finals bcuz he got disqualified bcuz his controller got disconnected accidentally, he pretty much bodied the other player and just 1 win away to be champion!
Not a valid style of play? how exactly do you come to that assumption? any style of play is valid if it works. When poongko plays in tourneys or against daigos/magos hes alot more careful and sensible, but you need to understand that this is online.
When you are SO much better than everyone else, you can just troll and whoop everyone's ass. That's just how good Poongko is.
Poognko loses to real pros but hes really good at doing combos on scrubs.
Yeah guys, remember this is Poongko raping scrubs online, so he gets to do whatever fancy combos he wants and he doesn't give a sh*t about damage scaling or people reversaling through his pressure.
I'd really love to see him at some big tourney outside of Korea though. I don't know when was the last time he played against top players outside of Korea but it would be interesting to see how well he fares against them now.

Gamespot has posted up a launch center for MvC3 complete with a video preview consisting of 2 staff members talking to each other. Mostly recaps stuff already known though, but at least this fighting game is considered big enough to get a launch center on the site.
that is the best seth in the world, he has the satsui no hado inside him. his gameplay can make you crack under the pressure. I am gonna watch this 200 times to know how to get my own rushdown strategy
Poongko's playing the wrong game man. He should be a 3s Makoto or Dudley player. Also to people complaining that what he's doing is unsafe, you don't know how he conditioned his opponents in the previous matches. The only glaring instance was the fact that the Ryu player didn't Shoryu FADC when it seemed obvious that Poongko was going to get in that ass.
WOAHHHHHH!!!!!!! Some one call the cops because theres a rapeist on the loose. DAMN i must say his el fuerte, sagat and seth are intense. Gotta respect his play style and his effort in using different characters. But some of these vids he barely uses his ultras nore supers. If that's not saying something then i dont know what will. Still his play style can be beat, most of the people he was fighting with had at least one or two bar meters and didn't take advantage of using it, nor was any of his opponents aggressive as well. Not saying he sucks, but dont underestimate pros online, nor tournaments and he already knows that as well. Just dont like watching scrub videos, as you can see from that random ultra from thawk, still give the guy some props atleast. At least hes not a trash talking cammy player thinking hes all that. Wonder if he uses hakan???

#17, i agree with you, he changes his style in real tournament :) that what i meant by this kind of rushing is not valid unless the opponent willingly submit to it ^^ you know lots of people have the dragon on the easy side => you have to trick them. There i just see rush rush rush no pause=>not safe at all.
You ever think, "man, I could take Mago or Daigo if I just got the chance to play them?" Well, not here, Poongko is single-handedly carrying Korea.
That’s why I love watching Seth and hate fighting him.
The thing with Poongko is that his style is crowd pleasing. Poongko doesn't give a fack, he's pretty much always in your face. His style of play is: relentless, fearless, and intimidating.
Poongko is not the best in Korea but he is certainly the most entertaining.
The best would without a doubt be -- Infiltration. Runner-ups would either be Laugh or him.
i got korean friends from the west coast and in Korea, and mostly they say Poongko is much a better player than Infiltration, dont get me wrong Infiltration is a toptier player too, but tourny's win Poongko got way more than Infiltration, and Poongko bodied Infiltration most of the time, Laugh is always neither a second or third best runner up in Korea, and dont forget Poongko plays a sick Fuerte and other characters too!
and for those who ask why Poongko doesnt play out overseas, I THINK he only go overseas if he's getting invitation/sponsored and paying for his travel fees, unlike for Infiltration or Laugh who pay for their own travel fees, when was the last time u see him play overseas... Gamestop SF4 int. tourny! so I GUESS he doesnt have that much money or something! idk?

cause, that match the guy above me posted that shows Mago fighting Poongko tells me otherwise.
I know on PSN his account is Ezfarang or something, and now its llorelai or something of the like.
But in the match description, even though it says the seth player is poongko, that guys SN tells me otherwise.
regardless, great video :D his Seth is sick, i hope he attends EVO some day.
