I've been struggling with Fei since Vanilla, now I'm gonna be labled a Tier-Whore. I got enough of that with Boxer. (Been playing the dude since SFII, where I had no idea what a Tier was)

They changed the charge time and frame data on Guile's SB? :\

fei long was strong enough in SSFIV he din't need any buffs IMO, but I don't care if you call me tier whore, I'll stll play him!!!

dont worry guys. if youve played him before its cool. teir-whores are people who study the teir list left and right. they check up on the teir list to see whos good and whos not. basically they play with a teir list not a character lol

you dont worry either. Sagat is more of a versatile character. he can zone,he can mash, he apply crazy dmg with one FADC. Fei might be strong dmg wise, but his ability to apply the dmg is hard. just do what Mago and Daigo said. out play him and you'll win.

Fei Long couldn't be any less of an auto-win button. The tier whores are gonna struggle...bad.

OMGOODEST lord. Why even use backfist if that Normal poke was also nerf (damage wise)

Before diago said Sonic boom change because you IT can be traded when another oppent hits guiles hands. NOW its even worst. HIS charage time got NERF and he CANT build METER!!!

So are people gonna start calling "Mago" a tier whore for using Fei Long? If Justin Wong was smart he better learn this character.

dam im gonna feel really bad for being a fei player =/ but no i must resist these impressions and keep playing him! He actually takes work unlike other top tiers. I wonder if he'll be viewed like this in the American scene where we don't have a man as good as Mago.

Mago switched to Fei back when Super came out - because "he wanted to start afresh with somebody different". (Paraphrased)

Of course, he could have switched because Sagat is hard to win with in Super, but I kinda doubt that.

So yeah, anyone calling him a tier whore in AE is just being stupid.

Also, Justin Wong already learnt Fei Long back in Vanilla. Don't you remember him taking a tournament and some top-level matches (some being against Daigo)?

Come on Justin's Fei Long sucked. It was obvious Daigo didn't know the match up at that time and had to learn on the stop to beat Justin.

And by definition Mago is the biggest tier whore by using Vanilla Sagat and AE Fei Long. But I actually think its stupid that people consider using top tiers a bad thing.

This is stupid. You can't call a man who made a character be considered S tier, a tier whore. Do you guys think Fei would still be considered the best in the game as of now, if it wasn't for Mago?

well fei deserves to be S rank. he's a character dat requires good skill to use, unlike ryu and sagat who any noob can score easy wins with (thank goodness for their nerfs). it REALLY sux wot they did with guile though. i understand he needed some nerfs, but they went and over nerfed him like morons >:(

Who ever says Mago is not a tier whore is dumb lol....I remember in a interview or something when he said he was picking Fei because he felt he was the best.

Too bad what they did to Guile. He was very solid in Super. In my opinion nobody needed nerfs in Super but a select few could have used some minor buffs.

Call them 'tier whores' all you like, haters. They are walking away with bags of cash and you aren't. Suck on it.

It doesn't matter what they do the Guile, he's S class at turtling. So just be defensive as hell and don't let anyone get in, he's still got the tools (just lowered damage, same for Dhalsim).

Guile is still better than half the cast, these characters are fundamentally good in this game engine. Don't give up on Guile before you get your hands on the game. Actually use him for a month or so then make a decision.

@21: Guile used to always beat me online because of his rock hard defense (I play as Dan, so I have to get up close to do any damage).

I only realised recently that a lot of Guile players of my level (aka bad lol) don't actually have a strategy for what to do if a player like me gets right up close and then out-turtles the turtle. Their whole gameplan is "make the guy jump a sonic boom into my flash kick!", and if that isn't working out they don't really know what to do.

They often go for an impotent flash kick, or try a double sweep, which you can focus attack through the first leg and land the blow before the second arrives. Whoo!

lol @ tier whore whiners, keep on playing and losing with sakura, dan and other garbage characters just because it's more "honorable" to play them. go to die.

also, lol @ guile nerfs, ae is such a @!#&¤ waste of time with all these useless and uncalled nerfs. oh well, guile was already hella boring to play with or against in vanilla and chocolate when compared to older games, like super turbo. i'm glad that nobody will use him in sf4 anymore, including myself.

@23: I can't speak for everyone, but the reason I play as Dan isn't to handicap myself or avoid being a "tier whore", it's just because I love how he plays. I enjoy taunting mid match, I like watching his animations, and everyone likes an underdog! He's just the most fun to play as IMO.

I'll never take the game seriously enough to find "honour" in it. I'm slightly dreading Dan's upcoming changes (more combo focus, less damage) because I suck with combos. Lol. Still gonna play as Dan. Dan is Gouken's first and finest student! YAHOOOIE!

I sure like your style, playing a character you love, ppl just call tier whore this tier whore that, the truth is as soon as anybody gets very good with a character he turns to a tier whore. besides I main Ryu but I use Vega more often and Fei Long as well, in my opinion Fei is much harder to learn while others a bit easy, I know if someone plays awesome Dan he will be Top Tier! Go Hibiki will be proud. FATHERRRRRR!!!!

You want to talk about buffs nerfs whatever try playing gouken as main. But he got some cool new stuff. He still needs more. I said it before and will say it again he needs a move like the rest of them some ex magic move (oh no im in trouble forward down down/forward)does he have one of these no and don't say the parry it does no chip and if you don't get the first hit then it don't work and you are guessing in the first place they are going to hit you. I cant count the times that i have lost to these moves because of chips. Now if the ex parry did chip damage and hit more than once I wouldn't say a word. Then the playing field would be fair. I would just mash it out on wake up for the win also. But then Capcom would have to put a old guy on the cover and that just does not sell games as well does it.So WE GET TWO YOUNG GUYS that look cool just enter street fighter four for the first time and how long and one them is close to the best? Diago drops ryu has not event played the new version of him put it just so happens he is one of the best in the game. Come on you guys dont see this..... marketing is all that counts boys sell more copies and screw the rest of the cast

Anyone who uses the term tier whore and complains about them is a scrub.
