It features some fancy custom artwork, featuring characters from both sides of the fight, and it's limited to only 5,000 units. Priced at $159.99 and set for a February 15, 2011 release date.
MarkMan added this line via Twitter after someone complained that this new stick wasn't original.
Damn I want it!!! Those thhings are surprisingly hard to find in Montreal for a good price.
Never thought I'd say this but "Do Not Want". Keep in mind I'm mostly a pad player who owns a TE stick (and am in the process of working on art for it."). It just seems lacking on one side. Sometimes less is more but cramming everyone to one side doesn't count.
Also I think I'm just tired of the black and red. How about a white background?
Hey I have a Question.
Does anyone think MVC3 is going to REQUIRE a fightstick? I used an xbox controller on ssf4 and did ok, but I'm wondering if MVC3 is going to need a stick to play more than ssf4 did.
Stick looks ok, but I definitely prefer my MVC2 stick over this one. The problem is madcatz has been slapping new artwork on the same stick designs for 2 years now. It's time for a change with the TE-S was nice, but another change is needed.
I'm still waiting on the "daigo" stick madcatz talked about. I wonder what new features or designs daigo could be recommend be added to a stick.
I agree! MVC2 stcik waaaay better.
Madcatz!! I thought you were moving "forward" wit stick design. It's time to think outta da box!
MvC2 stick looks a lot better. This seems rather dull. Disappointed :/

Actually I think it's probably less important in MvC3. The controls are far more pad-friendly. I mean normally my weapons of choice are the fightpad or the FC3 (Hori pad), but even I'm considering switching back to a traditional pad for this game. Reason being that I learned TvC on the Wii's classic controller as opposed to the stick.
(What do they mean it's not original? I wouldn't even bother responding to that, IMO...)
its not original look at the sf4 stick same damn thing
Mvc3 has only 3 attack buttons and a launcher. I doubt people really need a stick to play it. But at tournament level play its better to have a stick imo. Unless ur a pro, I dont think u should be wasting that amount of money. Save ur money for the 3ds, ngp, or other things. The artwork on this stick is also kind of lame; I've seen better photoshop artwork.

http://www.qisahn.com/images/madcatz.jpg <- This is the SF4 TE stick.
They swapped the colors on the side and printed a different image on it. So every part in the stick is exactly the same, only with a different color of paint.
That's not original, but rather trying to make easy money.
For people who don't have a stick yet: The SF4 TE sticks are quite a bit cheaper now.

While I mostly agree, I will say that too often novice players make the mistake of assuming that since they're going to tournaments they need sticks. You're right that sticks are used the most in tournaments, but that's because most of the tournament go'ers have worked a long time to learn stick.
Just stick with what you know. And like #16 said, save your money if you're a traditional pad user.
Do we get anything if we correctly guessed the mystery sticks Markman posted awhile ago?
I guessed WWE and MVC3. Anybody else get it right?
Sort of disappointed by the artwork. It's not bad at all, but i expected something flashier for a MVC3 stick. The red bezel with the black bottom part just looks too serious and irrelevant to the game itself. I would have preferred to have the bezel be the same color as the "3" in the title or keep it red but make the bottom part white as to link it better with MARVEL. I want to buy this though as i have become a collector of these lately. I currently just own the first SF IV T.E. stick on Xbox360 and the Limited Edition Chun Li T.E.-S stick on the PS3, yet i have also pre-ordered Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition :-)
I'm surprised that they didn't go with the TE Fightstick S model. Good stick, but not getting it because I own a MvC2 TE Fightstick
(I still don't see why that's an issue - the only difference between sticks is art, unless you want to mod it. Maybe my stick knowledge is below par, lol...)

Yea, the Fightstick for WWE All Stars and MvC3 might be the two new sticks. I'm surprised that WWE is going back to their arcade roots with the new WWE All Stars video game. Reminds me of WWF Wrestlemania The Arcade Game that they did when they were known as WWF at the time.
Sold :D and to people complaining, just be happy they made one in the first place
It's pretty plain looking to me. The red bezel is seriously washed out and the black and white button scheme has been used way to much. The artwork also seems too condensed. I agree that the MvC2 stick looks much slicker despite being the same stick. The yellow joystick and yellow and white buttons, white bezel, metallic-ish artwork (which covers the entire faceplate) seriously made that stick stand out. The color scheme for this one is just generic. I like the fact that Madcatz is still making quality sticks but I still would like them to be a little more aesthetically pleasing. I'd change the artwork but I suck at drawing and modding sticks is not my forte. That's why stock parts and appearances are so important to me. I know this is like a wish-list but I would:
Swap the bezel with a more mellow color (or just stick with white)
Replace the joystick and six of the buttons with orange or red if the bezel stays
Expand the artwork and with a new style (I would love something by Ito Ogure)yes wishful thinking but I can just apply this to an older TE stick with minimal modding skills (my brother will do the art).
I'd rather have this then the MVC2 stick. The buttons on the MvC2 stick are out of order.
i was waitin for this for a long time cause the mvc2 was awesome but this looks like for kids looks like i be pickin up the chun li stick plus its way better lookin then this
cool graphic but just that its all the same as the rest atleast change up the color so it doesnt look like sf4 ssf4 te sticks they could have rapped it in full graphic or at least changed the red stripe around but nonetheless i mean if u need it i guess
That's the same damn TE stick from the very first one they created...with a different sticker. Then again...whether it has a different body or sticker(or both), sanwa or seimetsu, they are all the same thing...over and over again. You shouldnt need these things to play a fighter properly. Im sorry...but after witnessing EVO 2010, I no longer view an arcade stick as a necessity. A pad player took 2nd place in Tekken 6 and a pad player took 1st place in SSF2T:HDRemix. Ill stick with the D-pad.
So it's a street fighter Round 2 TE stick with different artwork for $30 more. awesome...
neat, although im not a huge fan of the red bezel
