Yoshinori Ono has dropped another set of tweets hinting at future plans and characters that could be included in Street Fighter X Tekken. He mentions we'll see another set of announcements in January, and responds in typical Ono fashion on if speific fighters will be included in the lineup, or not.Ono: We'll be announce about new characters for Street Fighter X Tekken in January. So, I'll be around US and Euro some area in during January for SFxT! ;D I'll be back to UK in mid of January. ;P
We'll release Street Fighter X Tekken in March 6, 2012 (US/Asia), March 9 (Europe) and we'll be marking the 25th Anniversary of the Street Fighter series! I look forward to continuing progress in New Year.

Bison and Juri, Jin and Xaoiyu, Vega and Balrog, Law and Paul are the only ones left that are guaranteed to be in but have yet to be confirmed and that's only 8. Add Devil Jin and Evil Ryu to that and that makes ten, Ono said more then he can count on his hands so who's next?

#9 ...now this is bull*it if the remaining total number of characters left to be announced barely counts 12 or 14 (including those of teasers) than all of them all together will barely make like 40 - 42 characters total which's kinda weak for a crossover game with so many characters in both universes...just lame really...i really hope you're wrong and Ono means in this particular case that more then ten characters (NOT COUNTING those of teasers, which considers somewhat as character announcement of its kind...)...

...i think non of the devil/evil versions of characters will be playable in this game outside of being just bosses, its more than likely would be announced right away when trailers first revealed info on that game, which kinda TxSF did and in TxSF it is hinting to be evil versions of Jin and Ryu accordingly...
I hope these teased characters are not the only characters left like i think Jack and Brian deserved to be in this game plus some of these teams are kinda weird to me like zangief/rufus and Julia/bob. Don't get me wrong i like zangief and julia but i dont really like rufus and bob that much i rather have zangief/r.mika vs jaycee/armor king but i understand they want the fat guy rivalry and probably didnt want more grapplers.
So base off this report we can gather.....nothing.
although i do agree with #13 the roster needs to be over 50 in order to be massive like ono clearify. and also they said that there would be alot of returning characters to come(even after they released relento). so if the only characters that are left to bring back is elena (which was leaked by L) then i would be really disappointed in them.

Yes, there's going to be a Street Fighter 1 character in there, that is what Seth said. There was mention of a character that almost made the cut but the design was pretty cool, his name is King Cobra. Which one? who knows? Could it be Lee? King Cobra who was left out of SF4? Could it be Retsu, Birdie, Joe, guess we'll find out when there's about 12 or 16 characters reveal in January?
@25 what do u mean leaked by L? Is there another leak list or something cause u shouldn't always believed in them like when everyone was hyping the last list that turned out to be fake.
Oh, and by the way, don't expect a new version, they said this one WILL NOT have one, so NO Super SFxT. Thank goodness :).
Give me Elena, Urien, and Gun Jack from Tekken than we are set.
Others that would be cool, but not a priority are Gouken and Jinpachi.

yea thats pretty much the list he leaked awhile ago on his twitter, but i dont remember him saying anying about lei making the cut.

Why would anyone want remy when guiles in it, it would be nearly the same character architype. As much as i love 3s guile is the better version, even charlie was better.
Will be cool if these hints are true, want some more characters that werent in 4 to see how they transfer

I can't help but laugh when reading Ono's Engrish. I try my best to make sense of it. I can only imagine Ono's face when he responses to those tweets. I have only ever seen him smiling very hard.

50+ characters is a bit premature. Some of you folks have to consider that Capcom may want to conserve characters for the next iterations of SFxTK. So with that in mind, I think 42 characters is more likely the case for this game with maybe 2 DLC characters to round it off and keep the community interested.
god damn, leave Ono alone you're annoying the poor guy lol but yea, the only other character i can think of that would make me want to get this game is Alex, the Final Fight characters are enough for me at this point, but bring back Alex and i'm sold for sure

Sorry there's not going to be a Super SFxT.
50 plus characters is not premature and it's what's SFxT is going to have. A game with all of the content or at least nearly all is better than making another version to spend more on the same product. Maybe a few character DLC like 2 or 4, but that is all that may happen. Capcom already said that SFxT is NOT going to have a super version, thank goodness.
Jin for Tekken is like Ryu for Street Fighter.
Or minimum, if we want, Jin for Tekken is like Ken for Street Fighter.
Im mainly a Street Fighter player, but i've played Tekken a lot too, and a Tekken game without Jin, is not a Tekken game, its an emulation...

Except for Tekken and Tekken 2 which Jin was not in and Tekken 3 where Jin was a swap of Kazuya.
Jin wasn't born until after the events of Tekken 2.
And no Jin was never a swap of Kazuya. Different personalities, more options because sidestepping was actually viable for more than one character, different combo options, shared some of Jun's moves and combos etc.
