I don't understand how Bison didn't make the cut. It seems like he'd be way up there. I'd personally like to see Talbain, Squirrel Girl, and Gambit in there :D.

I played very little of Megaman classic and Megaman X, but Battle Network is one of my favorite series I would have LOVED if EXE got in.
i'm surprised Jedah isn't on the list considering how often he's been voted, well looks like Talbain is the only other Darkstalker who has a chance then

IMO Psylocke is a very good entry!
i would be so shocked if they put in doc characters. i plan on buying all the costumes so they can just have my money if they decide to add dlc characters. Gambit venom gene ftw. if they put psylock or archangel i will explode.
A transformation character would be awesome (Ryu, Breath of Fire).
Gene and Nero would be great.
Nero as a long ranged grappler with good keep away abilities and maybe a chargeable buster and a transformation hyper that gives him even better range on his normals on the form of a blue shadow, maybe a level 2.
And Gene a straght forward translation from his game to UMvC3 would be perfect, but at least give him fast low normals, main reason I don't play Iron Fist...

Why ? "Crying" doesn't help , nor does it draw a red flag in the Capcom HQ offices in California & Japan to review their marketing strategy(s). Capcom is f***ing themselves in the @ss. I'm content. Just waiting on Card Sagas Wars to be released to play as my favorite characters.

You ain't getting gene cuz the games not out yet, you ain't getting venom because hes nobody in the comics and u ain't getting more x men characters cuz theres already too many. Yawn
I don't see why Regina made the list, what is she going to do? Summon raptors? While doing the same stuff Chris can? I'd rather have Vanessa from PN03. At least there is some fun agility stuff she can do. And you can do a power-up super into one of her high-tier armors. Hell, you can switch armors for different moves in my view.
As for Marvel, why Moon Knight?
I got a feeling that if they do add characters, they won't be ones already cards. I'd like to see a list of votes with those characters who aren't cards yet.
I hope Capcom actually considers the list. It seems like the fans have voted and voiced their opinion on this more than once and Capcom looked and just added who they wanted to. I can understand the "Marvel has the say-so on their characters" thing. People been polling for Gene and Gambit for a minute now.
what's with all the hard-on for megaman? there's already a megaman alt for zero and frank west. we do not need the actual megaman in the game. who we do need is dan. i still can't believe they left out dan color for ryu! :)

You don't know your Capcom history if your asking why those people are "hard on" (as you stated it) on Mega-Man.
I'm alittle surprised Capcom didnt add Asura. You would think they would want to add him to bring up interest for that game. I would love Samanosuke, and if they are gonna add another DMC character, and I think they would, Nero would be sweet.
I'm really not interested in marvel side anymore, I think they did a fine job. I dont think they could add someone that would play uniquely.

If anyone on the Marvel roster deserves their time in the spotlight, it's Songbird.
A great character that has had alot of growth for nearly the past 2 decades in a consistently good team book.
Also, bonus points for being a character that is:
A) Not a gender swap of an existing Marvel character.
B) Not an X-Man/mutant.
Too many X-Men characters being represented in this game and in general and far too many female chacters are essentially cloned off existing male characters. Marvel needs more original female power since DC has them by the balls in that department.

On the Capcom side, it's very easy to include them if Capcom want to. However, on Marvel's side, it's ultimately Marvel's decision whether to include any characters. Based the current selection of characters, it doesn't look like Marvel wants much repeat characters from MvC2.

Throw in Bass, Gambit, Green Goblin and maybe Carnage. I would gladly pay like 10 bucks just for Nightcrawler alone. Give him teleports that do damage when he uses it or where ever he appears and make his dash like his HH card where it does a small teleport. That would make for some crazy teleport combos :)

For starters it's on GameFAQs. At least the last notable poll was on Capcom Unity, where guys like Seth Killian and Sven actually acknowledged it and brought it up to the devs.

Eddie Brock hasn't been Venom since around 2003. This is why you'll never see him in the game, all these people don't even know that there have been two people as Venom since then. And if you were to get Venom, it would be the Flash Thompson version which would probably just upset a bunch of people.

Funny, my eyes must be playing tricks on me because .EXE and original Megaman are three and four, two completely different characters that are from different series and would have completely different play styles were they to be in the game. K and I thought the main purpose of MVC was to FIGHTER not think about if there's a good chick to sausage ratio which even then you got to remember She Hulk's a Hulk so she's easily got enough energy to take all the guys by herself(if you know her comic background she has slept with half of the marvel universe males including Tony Stark, Hercules and Starwolf(not the nintendo guy)
@96 I like the way Capcom's going about this one though, trying to get a good amount of variety among the character playstyles. That's probably why you won't see too many more megamen. There's not too much another megaman character's gonna do that's all that different than what Zero does.
as far as the marvel characters go capcom doesnt have a whole lot of say in it. Why do you think the marvel characters for Ultimate were chosen? Ghost Rider (cause a new movie is coming out) Nova and Rocket Racoon (cause they're gona be on some stupid cartoon show) Hawkeye (avengers movie, thats the only reason thor's in the game too) Dr. Strange (more than likely cause they're gona announce a movie) Iron Fist (honestly have no idea lol) marvel will select their characters to promote what they have planned because marvel doesnt care about what fans want because if they did i dont think any of those characters would have been chosen. Won't be surprised if Songbird and Luke Cage are DLC cause of that tv show thats coming out.

Gambit is the most worthless piece of crap character, one of the biggest jokes in the comic industry, no one even likes him. Hasn't done anything relevant since 99, he was nothing but X-23's SIDEKICK for the last year, Rogue doesn't even care about him she is with Magneto. Bitch ass prob can't even beat Jubilee at this point, he is so worthless when the Logan and Scott were reforming they didn't even ask him to join either team. Grant Morrison wanted to kill him off but Claremont had to stop him, no comic writer wants to touch him, they put him in the worst X-Men comic because they knew only idiots would buy it. Speak for yourself. Just because you hate Gambit for your own reasons doesn't mean everyone else feels this way. Don't blame the character for writers not knowing how to write them. Lol @ a Rogue/Magneto relationship. Isn't that supposed to be an alternate universe Age of X thing? It doesn't even matter and sounds kinda disturbing.
Gambit isn't just popular because he was in the 90's series. Alot of people also like how he is represented in past versus games. He had a very interesting playstyle and move set. Like a combination between M. Bison's normals+move set, a fighting staff and explosive card throwing. His character is very charming and calm. All that with a cool Cajun accent.
Its easy to see why he always got a high amount of votes in every single poll we seen. I'm kinda curious who you would rather have seeing how much you hate Gambit.
Meh to be honest, those characters might not even be in the game as DLC. DLC is not something special. Game developers use it as a cheap cash in. They take content out of the game and make you pay more money for something that you already pay for. How stupid is that? DLC is just stupid. Everyone believes that DLC is just developers making characters and making them downloadble but they aren't. What ever character is in the game in umvc3 will have a chance at making the game.
Look what happened with Firebrand, sure he wasn't the most requested character for umvc3 but he was already in the mvc3 as a cameo in one of the stages. So basically, who ever appeared as a cameo in a stage or in an arcade ending has the best shot at making the game. Characters like Batsu, Carnage and some others in umvc3 that are mentioned or shown in the endings have the best shot at making the cut.

If there's any more characters, there's a chance the Capcom characters on here will get added, however Capcom has little say on the Marvel side. While most of the Capcom characters were picked due to fan requests, Marvel chooses their characters based on marketability. So all this talk about how popular Gambit and Venom are is irrevelant.
Unless a character has an upcoming movie, will be in a cartoon, or has a comic Marvel wants to promote, they're not getting in. Eddie Brock(which is the Venom most people want) hasn't been Venom for years and apparently is no longer Anti-Venom. The only thing Gambit is doing now is playing babysitter to X-23 in her now canceled solo series.
I want any Onimusha character that isn't from Dawn Of Dreams. Onimusha is my favorite Capcom series, I was really hoping for Samanosuke or Jubei. I would want Gogandantess much more, but the other two are more practical.
