@ 1 And it's all thanks to that Low Forward!
H8rs, u KNOW it's mainly because of that.
How?
Valle's Character Loyalty will pay off now.
@18 For real pros XBL is just for practising new tactics/combos/mindgames.. You can see Poongko and Tokido switching characters all the time on XBL ... obviously they don't care about the points right? Everyone wants to IMPROVE! That's all... I'm pretty sure the same goes for Jyobin..XBL points mean nothing in front of real money prizes from tournaments.
Couldn't be any more dickriders here. I get he's good with Ryu, but you guys act like he's all you guys have in life. #1, #11 for example. Remember poongko read the sh!t out of your god and got perfected at evo. And isn't that where everybody says he try's hardest? Didn't even come top 3.
@24
Poongko got perfected at Evo? Either you didn't watch Evo or just have terrible grammar.
Glad to see Daigo using Ryu again, but I think it's hilarious that he can't beat Jyobin.
@24 Daigo sure joined the top tier ride but don't you remember how awesome he was when Ryu was truly top tier? All those UmeShoryus(tm) would send cold shivers down my spine. I really wasn't looking forward all that much to the SSF4:AE finals of EVO 2011 because of all the Yuns and Feis and Vipers, that's why I was more excited about the MvC3 finals. But now, I'm already excited for what's gonna happen in the SSF4:AE2012 finals.

Yes,he did use poor grammar but you can clearly understand what he meant read this "Remember poongko read the sh!t out of your god and got perfected at evo" i mean where did he say poongko got perfected he said "your god meaning daigo" lol
And no your is right, like i said google it.
Lol. Xenos you are wrong on both grammar points. The "and" implies PoongKO not Daigo and it is you're as in you are not possessive.
It would be "while you are at it" not "while your at it (you don't own at it).
OT: Yun got overnerfed. Glad Daigo is doing well with Ryu.
lol at those who think Jyobin will prove to be the best Ryu in the long run. Yes, he has won a couple sets but Daigo isn't called The Beast for nothing.
He will train, adapt, and end up being the best since that is what he does. He is a pro gamer and completely dedicated to fighting games.
For those who haven't, check out Jyobin's replays from Ov3rheadGreg and YogaFlame24 on YT. His aggressive and seemingly random style can be pretty effective but that style isn't going to be winning him any consistent victories at tournaments.
I remember reading a while back that Diago stated Ryu's changes were meaningless. I knew he was wrong back then. His corner escape seems viable now, a stronger DP, stronger fireball, and medium kick are what Ryu is all about!
I'm happy he's winning with Ryu again, Ryu is the character that is supposed to be able to back against anyone (the heart of battle). xD

This is the yr Valle Ryu > Daigo Ryu.
Someone has definitely been hitting the crack pipe haha
Recent footage of Jyobin's ryu:

I have no idea how Daigo is losing to this cat. He must choke on mirror matches something crazy.

^ This times a million! I was just typing the same thing on youtube. Jyobin is a solid ryu and nothing more by Japanese and their lofty standards, of course!
I'm glad Daigo has returned to Ryu, order and balance has been restored in the world of Streetfighter. I swear, the way this guy plays it's almost as if Ryu was tailor made for Daigo and vice-versa, truly a match made in heaven!
Anyway does anyone know why the Ryu/Fei matchup is not looking as difficult as it used to be, any changes that have made it less painful for Ryu. Or is it Just the case of Daigo's Ryu matching up well against Fuudo's Fei- long? I'm curious, please do tell?
Daigo is not good at Ryu vs Ryu. you can even look at some of his Ryu mirror in SF4 or SSF4 days against other Japanese players. he almost lost to US Ryu in tournaments too.
Jyobin has the opposite style of play to Daigo. Daigo plays defensive and pressures opponents with fireballs, Jyobin on the other hand plays rushdown and does random things. How can you read somebody who seems to have a random play style? I've always said, random play style with brilliant execution = scary opponent. Jyobin is being rewarded for sticking with ryu during AE, whereas Daigo needs to level up again after investing a huge amount of time playing Yun. Would love to see some of their matches tho. I think Daigo has probably told the locals at the arcade not to record any of his matches as it gives away tricks and techniques, otherwise we'd be seeing a tonne of vids as he's the most popular SF player.
Daigo also lost grand finals to Fuudo about 2 years ago in a European Tournament, and Fuudo was using Ryu. Either way, I dont think that this will last. Daigo will be raping this guy, just give it some time.
P.S to the guy that said poongko read Daigo, youre right, but dont forget that Daigo raped Poongko TWICE after evo.
Today is a proud day for street fighter and it's fans. The champ has returned.
