im afraid of the "Nerf Fuerte/Viper theyre too strong" crew so im going to say this now.
ib4 Fuerte/Viper hate.
btw LOL i was ging to subscribe to this guy but he put the subscribe annotation at the bottom. its too hard to click with Youtubes stupid format lol. guess i'll have to go to his channel manually *sigh*
@3-4 Your "ib4" is as lazy as your attitude...
No matter how high the level of play is, Fuerte is still very ve- zZzZz... huh? -RY! Boring to watch, at just about any level.
Is there a place where one can read about thoughts and ideas of the character creations?
Would love to read about the thoughts for making Fuerte.
Thoughts about making fuerte.
"Ok guys, How do we put Rey Mysterio into the next SF game.."
Da best was TKD back in vannila !
epic match vs ojisan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irVyT6...
@10 when you said "you can't" you meant "you can" right? it would make much more sense that way. theyre both gimmicky characters but Viper gets away with much more for much less effort while fuerte has to work super hard. BUT fuerte can do his overhead to get past ALL of vipers wake up options but its very situational because you have to perfectly time it.
The way that iPeru punished those blocked/whiffed fierce thunder knuckles made me cry. Seriously, crouch jab x3? He lost game three because he didn't punish two whiffed fierce thunder knuckles with super to put Latif away. I find it amusing that Latif had serious trouble dealing with a character that plays a lot like his. I hate Fuerte because I fall for all of his gimmicks all of the time, but it takes a lot of work to continuously mix up your opponent successfully.
Fuerte is not top tier so I don't get why people are complaining about him. Just because you lose to him doesn't mean he's op. Us fuertes have to work extra hard. I'm sorry we can't just dp out of mixups like some of you scrubs.
I've said this from the beginning when I first started playing fuerte in vanilla. He's a mind game character. You have to think more than the average player. It gets me so mad when I hear people say "Just dp out of it so you won't have to think about the mixup!". smh
I love the fuerte I hope to see him more in tournaments
@24 Can't really say it's a "coin toss" match. Coin tosses are 50/50. You never know what's coming next from these type of characters with their great mix-up games. Of course, low health is the huge let down here, but with one having to guess what these two will do, it doesn't seem like it matters when you know how to play them effectively.
@18 - Random spammy character? Latif's Viper? B!tch please. Anyone who mindlessly spams with Viper is going to lose. Simple as that. If you don't believe me, try it out for yourself. It just doesn't work against anyone even half decent.
As far as your random comment goes, any good Viper player is going to know exactly where their burning kick is going to hit. Nothing random about it. Even speaking in a general sense, a random playstyle is good. It's a good trait to have. If you aren't random, you're probably predictable. If you're predictable, you're gonna lose.
lost all respect for latif after that muslim flag/ afghan pride crap.. get that out of here.. i thought he represented america
Iperu could have won this but he missed alot of good punishes, especially in game 3. There were several times when Latif did an unsafe moves such as fierce thunder knuckle, and Iperu would only punish with a few light punches or settle for a throw. He should have been doing run-stop loops.
So salty he wanted a first t o five? Doesnt mean much when tortilla owns you int a tourny where it counts.
No thanks, homo. Stating the truth. He lost in the tournament. A loser. Did you not see? lol
@29, he is not American. I think he is from those area. I don't think he is U.S. Citizen.
Just going to put some random thoughts on this set:
- Iperu's defense against Viper is insanely good...I don't even think it has much to do with Fuerte
- Kind of scary that Iperu did this well against the one of the best players given that he is not even utilizing RSF loop and using jab x 3 as punish -__-
actually theres no way to beat el fuerte unless you play like this.
all the beautifulness of c viper cant be applied on this fagg0t called elfuerte.
all cancel combos whiff unless youre very very close to him.
even in training mode if hes crouching nothing will hit him.
noway to play but using thunder knuckle and her bread and butter....shame but true
since when was Latif with Razer? Razer products suck. They always break on me. the only thing of theirs I have that still works is the mouse pad haha. he deserves better.
Atleast Fuerte will be the ONLY one of the Vanilla newcomers not going to be in SFxTekken so some of the hater's whining about a character they know nothing about will have slightly less to complain about.
I don't think the El Fuerte player thinks Latif is that good of a player. Why do I say this? Because he fought Latif all the sets without using is Ultra not once and Latif still barely won this FT5 while using his Ultra. How many Fuerte do you know that watch and see whiffed DP as much as we did and had a full Ultra or at least full enough kill Viper but they don't use it? Right, nearly absolutely none at all. I feel he felt he didn't need it against Latif. That Fuerte could have won that FT5 easily if he had used his Ultra and I think if you watch the video and you see all the moments where he could have used it then you will see what I mean. He was testing Latif and if you really breakdown the gameplay you will see.
My top 5 of fuerte's that I have seen and fought :
1.loriSSF4 - seen
2.cdborrego - fought
3.GiPie - seen
4.iPeru - fought
5.Spab Rog - fought
Honestly I think iPeru's Fuerte is Great you can be flashy and full of rushdown but I don't think that kind of fuerte is consistent at all. Honestly out of all the tournaments I've seen iPeru's Fuerte has gotten the farthest. I havn't seen any of these other fuerte's get any where near as far as iperu has. Not saying they are bad but playing in a tournament is different from playing with friends or randoms on xbox live. I am a fuerte main my self and I honestly think iperu just needs to work on his run stop guacs and ultra set-ups
iPeru runs away most of the time so that was mostly the cause of the whiffs. Latif spammed those moves because nearly every attack Viper has is safe so why not. iPeru is just a safe tourney style El Fuerte. His strategy of get in quick, get some hits, and run before Viper's stupid good pressure gets started really worked for him well.
Latif is soooo sick.
