Street Fighter seems so boring nowadays. Granted, it's not the new hotness, but even aside from that it's just dull. There's too much news about statistics and rankings. So cold and sterile... where's the heat?
A standalone DeeJay player that no one knows about held his own against Daigo?
There's still hope for my Jamaican friend.

Just from my view, things have really heated up with the release of AE 2012, because I feel many characters are more competitive and I see greater variety online already!
@14
You are aware that Yun has a command grab and has some actual normals that he can use for footsies unlike Rufus, right? They both have their strengths and weaknesses.
Yun is still solid, you just can't pick him up now and expect to win without working for it.
−Rai− is no joke. He's the #2 Cammy on Japan's AE Rankings so I'm not surprised he dismantled Kazu.
@19
Yun doesnt suck. he still has all the tools to keep you guessing like a DP, a command throw, and easy hit-confirms for a lot of damage. hes far from sucking. you know who sucks in 2012? guys like Hawk and Gen...Dan Hakan etc...if you seriously put Yun on the same level as these characters you have no knowledge of SF at all. stop looking at what tournament players do and who they play. lots of people thought Seth was trash including Daigo, and PoongKo proved them wrong by showing them Seth is pretty strong in the right hands. play YOUR character, not the ones you see winning tournaments. i would like to say something though. IMO i think Yun/Yang and Fei should have stayed the same and they shouldve just buffed everyone else.
why people wanna see that flat chested bltch?
and leave us alove with kazunoku seth,people didnt even see the guy that hold 10 win against daigo is actually considered the best seth in japan and yet noone knows him.
Lucky ☆Chishou (Seth) for the win
@19
So for a game with over 37 characters , compared to Vanilla Arcade's 17 characters , that Sagat > Yun ? Tell that to the recent Yun tier list from Kazunoko that said his only bad match-up is a mirror match Kappa . At least Sagat had debatable situations back then where he went even with Ryu and Dhalsim , when there were 17 characters =P .
@26
your arguement is invalid their have been nerfs all around to pretty much the whole cast after vanilla so of course vanilla sagat would be good he already is one of the tops in 2012
yun and yang are still playable, both mid tier and not op as f*ck anymore which is a good thing. You see all these top players drop them because they are not tournament winnable anymore but that doesnt mean they suck, not many characters are tournament winnable.
i dont know why yang got nerfed more than yun. not only that, yang wasnt as good as yun(japan says otherwise for some reason <_<). yang takes brains to play compared to yun. i was also considering maining yang because of his footsies, pokes, and pressure.
I love when people argue that yun got his dive kick restricted but Rufus is free to dive kick whenever. Use Rufus then lol, dive kick spammin scrubs. I actually just worked up 1,000bp w yun online. He's a respectable character now, and still easier than a lot of the cast from a casual players perspective. I'm working on gettin c to shiny c 1000bp with every character. I've finished the whole top row and just finished yun, and of that group of chars yun was still one of the easiest characters to win with
somebody post daigo ryu matches!
i think cammy is the secret top tier that nobody has discovered yet lol
@34
She was top-tier back in SSF4 when she had the broken TKCS.
While I agree that Vanilla Sagat was far more OP than 2011 Yun, 2012 has far more pros than cons as far as balance is concerned. Yeah, some characters that don't need nerfs got nerfed, some characters that don't need buffs got buffed, but compared to the previous installments this is probably the most balanced version yet. Too bad majority of the players moved on to other games.
I'm so tired of people crying like children about "op", "High tier" characters. It's 2011, and almost 2012. We've been through this since the beginning of sf2. There will always be those characters/that character that just seems fantastic to where it's almost unfair, but that doesn't mean the game sucks. AE Yun was great, but he obviously wasn't unbeatable. Vanilla Sagat was great, but again, not unbeatable. Now I see people crying about Viper, and she's a slightly buffed/nerfed version of her AE counterpart. Really?
You guys who keep crying about these buffs that seem "unfair" are just newcomers who can't deal with it. Go be a pot monster and stay free.
And for the people who are bored of AE 2012 already, go play Marvel and get happy birthday'd. If you don't like AE 2012, don't play and stop commenting on posts about it.
Lol, how true. Peoe posting how boring this game is and slow paced, no key makes you play it, yet you HAVE to read every single comment about every single Sf post. I think sf4 series is a masterpiece, technically, mechanically, and pace wise. Umvc seams like. Good game if you have a.d.d. I always. O
Compared sf to chess, a real thinking game, Srry for the d post
@42
took the words out of my mouth. stupid people and their whining. its Capcoms fault for feeding them the bottle.
@44
funny you compare Chess to SF. David Sirlin (some consider him one of the best ST players and an @$$hole lol) did that exact same comparison. given it was SF2 and not SF4, your post reminded me of that video. in short...good analogy.
@35 Cody is not the best character in the game. lol
And Yun is very, but very very far from being trash, he's still strong and still better than many other characters.
It looks like you don´t know SF4 at all.
@ 5 & 11
I agree too.. I dnt knw what happen... I was much more excited about the KOF13 matches this weekend...they were very good to watch... I dnt feel that way about SSF4 anymore
^ KOFXIII was exciting because that game was just recently released on consoles, so everyone who sees something crazy at a tournament in a new game will get hype for it. Same thing happened for MK9. When it first came out, people got hype for it. Then, it was slowly dying and now it's practically dead compared to before. I don't want it to happen, but that will probably happen to KOFXIII. It's not a capcom game, so therefore, it won't be as hype in a few months, especially since the game follows a repetition of combos, unlike marvel to where you can be extremely creative, and to AE where it's not a huge combo based game.
Akuma hitting a slump eh? Ahh we've all been there.
