Since the Vita version is a straight port of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 from consoles, this means that this version of the game can supply valuable data on how to avoid certain attacks.
Leaving replays out of the console versions is bad.
Only letting people see hitboxes in the Vita version, that's a whole new level of bull feces. An obvious cash in because they know that the people who actually know anything advanced about fighting games won't be interested in the other features (touch "controls", using the Vita as a controller to play it on the PS3, not being able to use other controllers to play on it[correct me if I'm wrong]...) that the Vita version offers.
And it's the same game otherwise. I'm surprised that they are gonna let people use the console version's DLC on it without paying extra.
@2
Capcom just makes some of the dumbest decisions sometimes...
The replay function was left out of the console version so Capcom can give you a reason to buy the game on the Vita. It's all business at the end of the day. Ex. Spectator mode was left out of vanilla but it was in Turbo HD (released before vanilla). These things are all planned out from the start. I'm not complaining, I like Capcom games but it's a shame how they market their stuff. See you guys on Super SFxT Arcade Edition #TrollFace
So let me get this straight. Consoles not only don't get replays, but they don't get to see hit boxes now either while they put both these features in the hand held version? Wow. Just wow.
If someone is not planning on buying this on Vita these two features probably won't persuade them to get it so why not just put these features on consoles like they should have in the first place.
Man think Capcom is dumb for leaving those features out... If anything, they are in ways geniuses lol. Gives people more of a reason to buy the vita version. Makes sense to me. I guess until they decide to end the console owner's suffering... If you truly are a hardcore UMVC3 player... Then buying this one should not be that big of a deal to you.
Yep. Otherwise they would not have done it lol. But seriously though, it is not just for those features alone... Maybe you really want to play the game on the go and do not wish to carry around a huge console everywhere you go.. Now you do not have to. I mean this who course of action has its pros and cons.. It is not perfect but, it is fully terrible either.
@Ra_Mo
You are maybe right if one is intending to buy the vita and umvc3 on it. But as a person who has the game for the consoles and not interested in the vita , i am left in dismay wondering why wouldn't Capcom include a standard mode for fighting games in the console versions.
Yes, put the replay system AND a way to view hitboxes on the sh1tty handheld version.....
Nitsuma is a horrible executive producer.... Ono-San all the way... he might troll but he knows what features to add.
@22 Except people are busting his chops on the Gem system. I'd say they both getting hit hard with Fan Rage. I feel bad for them.
Im not gonna trip. I think i'd take the Hitbox viewer over the Replay system because it's more useful, there are other ways to record your matches artificially. I have a feeling it will be an update later for it.
The fans need to put their foots down on this situation. The only way we can express our distaste for the direction they're taking is by not buying the game. Vanilla, the gem system, and now this? Come on people, open your eyes, Capcom is taking us for a ride.
I say if SFXTK turns out to be a huge failure because of the system we don't allow it in tournaments. That's the best possible way to relay the message to Capcom that "you fked up and we're not supporting this game, don't do this again."
I don't see how having these features on vita suddenly makes the console version any worse?? I'm more upset about wesker buffs in umvc3 than any of these vita exclusive options.
I really feel the vita needed online play against ps3's to make the package complete.
I'm not quite sure what the vita near system does for this game either? would it be like the sfiv:3ds street pass feature? (which i know nothing about)
Look at me I know how to play UMvC3! tap tap tap tap tap tap tap
@28 i was thinking the same thing i hope they dont allow this online when u use the vita as a controller cause that seems like it will be really cheap and what if u can use in tournaments that will be f*cked!
There is another way to look at this news.
Hitbox is something that has always been available in Capcom games but they left it out for a reason. So, it's not something they would have made available publicly if it wasn't because of Sony's money. Money talks louder after all.
Nitsuma's team was on a tight schedule for UMvC3 and may not have been able to include it in time. They had more time for the Vita and only had to work on one platform, so that probably allowed them to include it there. Maybe not for console but it could be coming for the PC version.
Wow, looks like they use hit-circles instead of hit-boxes in MvC3. I always wondered why all other fighting games used boxes instead of circles when it's obviously faster to determine collisions based on circles (basic geometry).
dont be fools people, its a marketing strategy. capcom needs to keep up to date with the latest and greatest, they had all these features planned out from day one. they are simply releasing them slowly but surely. think abut it, if they just released one game, thats only 60 bucks per person, no more profit to be made. however introducing new features will con you into purchasing more of their product thus keeping a slow revenue stream for one game. they best part of it is that most people will be willing enough to buy it all up. capcom is not an idiot, we all are for eating it up.
Give us consoler users the replay system dammit
