Dieminion'S lameness cracks me up. Love it how Chris G chose to beat it at his own game, love it even more 'cause I got to see double Morrigan action since I main her along with Akuma and Storm.
@2 PW's assist had too be nerfed! Too many frames and all of them are invincible and all he does is walk? You kidding me? He should be the worst character in the game and a complete joke. Personally, I would be fine with the assist simply taking damage instead of being interrupted with hit stunt, but oh well...
As for Wesker, they just need to tone down his glasses of power up. After you survive his xfactor, he pretty much can still touch-of-death most characters with simply bnbs.
My biggest problem with Wesker is his teleports, adding a few frames of recovery or start-up would be the best Wesker nerf for non-Wesker users.
It's a shame ChrisG doesn't go out to as many majors as most other players, because I think he's easily one of the best MvC players on the East Coast.
Hell, I'd say he's better than even Noel Brown at this point in my opinion.
@2
A 100% invincible, mobile assist was brain-dead and needed to be nerfed. A powerful character does not need to be nerfed on a knee-jerk reaction. Let the game breathe, let people discover strategies, instead of demanding that the game developers do the work for you. More and more pros are starting to say Wesker isn't even the best in the game despite how powerful he is.
It's still early, give the meta-game time to evolve.
@3
Didn't they already make his teleports have more recovery? I'd have to double check, but I'm having far less trouble with teleport-happy Weskers than I used to back in vanilla.
The glasses power up on the other hand...
@4: Considering all the possible counterpicks for that assist(Dormammu, Nova, RR, Skrull, Dante, and Strange to name a few) that could beat it, I don't see why everyone said it was "brain-dead." Spamming it against someone who knew its weakness(from behind or via a flame carpet) was just begging for it to be punished. Turnabout was meant to be a reward for stalling ridiculous rushdown with a bad character, having to alter your strategy to beat the assist isn't asking much in return.
Furthermore, what you're saying doesn't even make sense. Let the game breathe for a 10 month top tier character who got a couple of nerfs and a good deal of buffs, but don't for a 1 month character who's not even good aside from his earned assist?
Dieminion's way of playing pisses me off... Noel Brown is WAY better than him.
Luckily enough, ChrisG played as gay as him (even though he doesn't plays that way) and Dieminion got pwned by his gayness.
Guys like Dieminion really makes you hate the game community... (or at least a part of it)
@6....stfu noob,its called zoning,and keep away for a reason,and only to your eyes is it terrible,but to others of high level play it's called strategy.
@6 And it's people like you who give the Game Community, the FGC specifically, a bad name. Have some respect for the freakin game you troll.
And guys please PLEASE get off the PW nerf train. Like I said before if you needed that invincible assist to play him, you probably wasn't good with him in the first place.
On a different. I couldn't be less impressed with the commentary. Chis Hu was funny as usual. But Spooky gets bored during Grand Finals and just plays music?
Then they continue to talk behind the track while I struggle to understand what they are saying?!
Funny? Sure. A major Down Grade from JC and UD? Absolutely!
That fireball exhibition sure was...entertaining?
In SF4, Dieminion is the main inspiration for my game. He plays Guile exactly how I wanna play him. And in MvC3, man his playstyle is so hilarious, such a good zoner it's insane. I find it highly entertaining, and pretty unique. I don't often see his DrStrange do much though, maybe Dorm would do better, but who am I to know.
It's funny how people are talking crap about dieminion for zoning. They're like my scrub friends that play simple that complain whenever someone throws fireballs because they're "cheap". This is a game that heavily rewards rushdown and it's not easy to "lame it out". Of course it can be annoying (that's the point), but don't act like your style is superior because you'd rather run in and mash buttons than learn spacing and predicting your opponent's moves.
RIP Gdlk Assist
Happy to see him picking Ghost Trick Phoenix. That's all I pick, too.
