That may be true but unfortunately he still isn't tournament viable since he has big holes in his game, namely, the lack of a reliable reversal and a terrible wakeup game.

I know! If only they gave him an invincible dp that he could fadc into an ultra or something. And whats up with his outfit? I think he should wear a white karate gi with a red headband.

That would make him way too strong.
All you need is 1 throw to go into ultra for massive damage. That's more than enough.

Not only was #7's sarcasm painfully obvious, but you make it seem as if gouken's backthrow is worth anything.

Gouken is fine the way he is, but bringing up backthrow....lol. That sh*t should only land in lag and against tards that can't tech

@#6 I think you forget about his EX tatsu, it's a perfectly viable reversal on top of that his EX demon flip has invincibility as well. He can combo into ultra with back throw or ex palm and now it even conects with anti-air fireballs.

No, there's characters whose wakeup is way worse then Gouken.

You cannot even safejump him with his parry starting in 1 frame. He also got a 26 frame invincible move which makes things tricky, and EX Tatsumaki can cover several approaches.

People should stop overlooking Gouken, it's because of online warriors that everyone still think he's sh*t. He won't be the best in the game, but he can hold his ground against many opponents. Thank god Infiltration picked him and there's awesome players like Bullcat.

If I was Ryan, I would stock angry scar so my uppercuts can break the air parries.

@11... Gouken's back throw is the hardest throw to tech in the game. If you crouch tech, you are most likely gonna get thrown. You have to expect it and stand throw which is a complete guess. That's why Infiltration landed it on Ryan Hart just about every time he tried it.

So at full charge would the Denjin nullify Sagat's U2 or contain enough hits to go through it?

This is why I said mark my words a few posts back about Gouken.

Looks like #8 completely missed the joke and blatant sarcasm. Besides, Gouken's throws have the biggest tech windows in the game. It ain't easy to land against good player. That said, Gouken still got a number of buffs. The craziest one is reducing the start up of his Super by 15 frames to 3. God damn.

@19 By 15 frames? I don't think so. I think it was reduced from 11 to 3.

Ryan Hart must be the least impressive "top player" that we get updates on. He's the Floe of Europe.

Wow, I love this. And this....is why all characters should be viable. Character diversity just keeps things fresh.

A lot of top players are picking up new characters, so there will at least be some variety. Even if it's the regular players in the end.
