I think it's safe to say that the SFxT info/hype train is back on track.
#4: Slowly, because there are most people that are still P.O. on the gems.
#5: There's no need to be pissed about them until we find out ALL of the info.

Story mode ? or Rival battles ? Either way it looks sweet
well i just hope that chun li and cammy arent facing lilly and asuka as rivals because that wouldnt even makes sense. high school students facing off to agaisnt a cop and an fbi/cia/ what ever agent. if anything it would make more sense to have Lei wulong (the hong kong police cop) fight chun li (another hung kong cop). but i dont know who would be his partner though. they would be fighting because they are with holding information that the other has gather or could be a miss understanding.
they should rename this game Super Gem Fighters Mega Mix :)

I think they put Kaz and Nina as the rivals for ken and ryu because they needed/wanted to make sure they got the Kaz vs Ryu thing going - if for no other reason, bcause kaz was compared to ryu initially which was part of the reason they sent him down such a dark (and awesome) path in the tekken series.
after that, they needed a partner... naturally ken comes to mind for ryu... ken or chun li - who was actually the first person we saw fighting along side ryu, if ppl remember.... but of course ken is the more natural selection.
on the tekken side.. Kaz needs a partner... now, who could they pair him up with, that would still make some level of sense? Kaz rolls solo for the most part... and just seems to have enemies lol. so thye pair him up with a gun for hire assassin... Nina. she'll work for the money, i suppose.
i wanna see more CG movies, like that awesome one where Kaz is showing his dominance >:-]

My only guess for the rival scenes is that they are probably going to add a story to each of the respective teams in this game.Kinda like how they did with Project Justice on the PS2.

Yeah. The only thing I'm not liking too much about this game is it's graphics. Ever since SF4 the shading, especially around the arms, gives the characters this look that honestly reminds me of leather...like a football or something.
Take a look at ken's arm. The shading sort of looks like stitching almost. As if he's a plush doll.

I still don't understand Zangief and Rufus' partnership. The main site says "Zangief contacts Rufus" so they can search for pandora's box together. I love Rufus; he's my second favorite character in the entire SF universe. But what connection have Zangief and Rufus EVER had before this game? Why would Zangief even THINK about contacting Rufus of all people? You'd think Zangief would contact someone he's actually close to. Or at least had notable interaction with in the SF games.
It just seems so wholly out-of-place. Even moreso than the Rolento/Ibuki partnership
It seems the humor in that Rolento/Ibuki pic is lost on some people. Those soldiers are not actually there. You can tell from the way they're colored that they're all in Rolento's head. Ibuki sees what a nutcase he is, and she's looking at us like she's thinking, "WTF is wrong with this guy?"

From what I'm assuming, since it's implied Zangief lost to Ken in SF2's story hence him saying "I hate fireballs..." a lot which implies him losing to a shoto in that tournament. Seeing as Zangief likes strong combatants and sees great honor in fighting those in equal strength and seeing how Rufus dislikes Ken and claims to be the best fighter in America, he took an interest in Rufus's skills (and the fact they both possibly hold animosity to Ken and Ryu) Gief is a pretty jolly dude who likes some rough housing as sportsman ship. And Rufus does just that quite fine, I see them getting along actually, but it took me awhile to make any sort of connection between the two. I like the partnership myself as they're two of my most favorite SF characters myself.
Kazuya with Nina... altough one can say assassin for hire and all that, Kazuya Rolls with Nina's sister, Anna, but whatever.
there are a lots of possible teams and rivals.
ad yh, rivals to Ryu and Ken should not be Kazuya and Nina, i would like to see a "temporary" team up of Kazuya and Jin to rival Ken and Ryu, Nina there ruins it somehow, she is by no means a "flagship" character or mains character, one of the oldest, and did important stuff for the story, but not that important.
i would consider, Jin, Ogre, Jun, Heihachi or my favorite, Lars
but this is hardly a mater worth complaining, just giving a opinion.
