my main thawk, looked free against gen. he is still a bad character so i give up on street fighters
@5
i don't give a F*ck if thawk is top tier or not
they buffed him twice with a bunch of bs we don't need.
so if crapcom don't care, i don't care either
i will just play with ryu and spam fire balls or p*ss people of with yoga fraud
or spam air fire ball with akuma or spam electricity with blanka if some one come close to me
no not at all, just tired. but it do look like mad lol
Kiryu vs Sasaki, upset of the day -_-
Sasaki vs T SRAI, rape of the new year
T SRAI vs Poongko, WTF moment of Poongko's career?
Funny how all the top tier characters in this game are going to be vortex characters like Seth, Akuma, and Viper. This game has gone downhill. I had more fun fighting characters that I can actually fight with strategy rather than just flipping a quarter to guess what to do.
Actually makes me miss Vanilla. An OP Sagat is still more fun to fight than any of these characters.
Cmon guys Tiers don't mean jack. Honestly just play the character you are most attracted to. That's why I play Cammy, Rose, Ibuki, Dan , and Blanka!!! yahooo
Yeah, 11th ranked Sagat mashing out that uppercut! Well, I guess I would have done the same thing against Poongko but it’s alyways nice to see him frustrate opponents lika that.
@learis1 To my understanding a vortex is a mix up after an untechable knockdown that if successful, always leads to another untechable knockdown, resetting the situation, so you can repeat the mix up over and over, as long as your opponent keeps guessing wrong.
Viper and Seth have good mix ups after a hard knockdown, but not all of their options in those mix ups lead to another hard knockdown. Therefore, they aren't always able to reset the situation to the initial state, so their opponent can escape the mix up even if he guesses wrong.
Hope that makes some sense, lol.
I like watching Poongko's inputs more than the actual match, lol. Dude likes to hit them buttons. :D
@28 Not quite. Although personally I hate the idea of giving every single tactic or strategy a "cool" name just for the sake of it, in this case said tactic is special and powerful enough that IMO it does deserve its own name. I hate the term "vortex" itself, but that's another story. :)
Actually it's a vortex because guessing WON'T let you out of it. The whole goal against a vortex character is zoning them out precisely because of the so-called vortex. You're actually right about those characters being vortex based, but the actual guessing games come into play vs your so called strategy chars like guile or gief or bison rog vega or anyone based on pokes and power with iffy or at least limited special moves. In theory vortex simply refers to the boundaries of a character's most efficient space. Everyone technically has a vortex but some just involve more pressure than others or are more concentrated.
In general more options equal more vortex. But it's also correct that a vortex usually involves reliable hard knockdowns and a variety of resets. It's really just characters you must keep away from. Hope this helps. I main akuma so I felt compelled to contribute
I think what u don't like is that if someone using a mixup char (ak vip Seth sak ken ibuki cam guy elf dud) knows how to hit confirm, then the pressure forces you to take extra risks or guess--and that the game is leaning more n more towards these chars. Fair enough I guess but most people hate relentless zoning or extreme pokes monopolising gameplay. Ak is probably hardest char to use and most fun to watch for most spectators. I know viper is hard too but who cares its just super jump cancelling to death and hit confirming 12 ultras a match (no offense everyone is hard to learn and play). Ak and sak and guy involve near perfect spacing and lots of intuitive reads. Viper used to have best escape options with most pressure. I know ak has teleport but it can be option selected and his health calls for it. Lastly, I'll be the first to complain about his air fireballs which can be very annoying too, but what char doesn't have a safe move they spam a lot, right? Anyway, if you don't like the guessing, learn to zone and hit confirm better. No matchup is void of counter options for both parties. As an akuma, zoners are my worst nightmare, and I whine about their very lack of strategy. Peace
Can we plz get someone to call the police on Poongko I mean we have so many witnesses to these murders he's committing!
