I think he's referring to Kindevu during Canada Cup. Don't know how that's random though; Kindevu has grand-mastered more characters than you can shake a stick at. Kindevu just got Wolfkrone in that match. He's clearly overstating that.
It's cool though; there are worse people one can lose to than Kindevu.

Knives earned his victory over Noel Brown. Knives is a good player as well, but I'm sorry DiosX is still a LAME EXSPOSED player. Wow and it's funny to hear the the salt in the backgroun from Noel and they go to commercial so we can't hear him being salty.LMAO!!!!Once again NICE gameplay from Knives.
I'm just gonna say this. Noel is a "GREAT" player, but at the same time so is Knives. He may not have been in any major tournament, but he's been training with one of the "BEST"(Fanatiq) in my opinion. Noel was confident and a little cocky, but Knives was hungry. When you have a player with that is Good and is hunrgy. He can be one of the most dangerous players to face. Because they are focused. In any case I have seen Noel Brown focused and he wasn't which is why he lost. Once is a while all players get a little cocky and that goes for anything that is played in life. NBA, NFL, MLB, and MLG. Bottom line Noel is not a fraud by no means. He just lost to someone that was more focused and hungry than he was which is why he lost. Much respect to Knives.

I don't understand why so many of you guys are pissed at Jago for not playing Combofiend. He came to bar fights specifically to play Mike Ross, why should he be forced to play against Combofiend? What would be the point of that? If the beef was between Mike and Jago, how does a set against Combofiend solve anything? The promo for the event didn't say Jago vs. Mike Ross (and maybe Combofiend if we can convince him). He did exactly what he came to do, play a first-to-five set against Mike Ross. You guys aren't pissed that Justin Wong or Clockwork didn't play against another person. As a matter of fact, the fact that Jago played Knives was a courtesy since the only reason why he did so was because he was trapped in a room full of Californians twisting his arm. Sure he talks a lot of smack, but it's not like he was the only person there doing so. This is a ridiculous double standard.

I was actually pissed at Cross Counter's behavior during that tournament. They invite a player across the country and then try to bully him into something he never agreed to when their plan goes wrong.
I knew that Gootecks was going to try something sneaky if Mike Ross won. And that after he went on a rant about Mike Ross "beating all the top japanese players" when he really just went to a gimp joke tournament that not many Japanese top players were at and beat Neurosis and Itazan.
Just so we have the record straight people, Jago actually said Combofiend was DODGING HIM, and yet tonight we see Jago b*tch out when given the chance to face Combofiend.

Jago defeated mike and I guess he accomplished what he set out to do. But, Mike went into the matchup knowing he was probably going to lose but at least he still tried. Marn went into the match with combo knowing he was probably going to lose. But they at least took the challenge knowing it's what the people wants to see. If mike had dodge the challenge Jago would be saying the same thing that everyone is saying. Your in the competitive gaming community part of the fun is facing a challenge. Fighting fights you know only certain that you will win means that you will never improve.
Combofiend trained Mike Ross for the Jago fight so he kind of was prepared for it too while Jago was only prepared for the Mike Ross fight, and its actually pretty stupid that combo always steps in when Mike looses. It would have completely picked away the win for Jago to loose against combofiend right after wich would have made the fight unnessicary and meaningless and the preparation time too. I kind of think it was stupid to put Jago on the spot there even thou it is kind of stupid to duck combofiend after Jagos trashtalk against him.
And i dont think combofiend didnt wanted to play jago, i think he was dissapointed and mad that Jago ducked him and turned down the match, but thats just a guess.

I was praying for a miracle with Mike Vs Jago....I can not stand Jago, but on that Video when Mike called Jago a fraud I was shocked, Jago had a good synergy hiding behind peek-a-boo, and his execution was satisfactory... Even though I would've liked to have seen Combofiend tear Jago apart, I can understand why Jago chose not to play him. If I remember correctly this was for him to get used to the tournament scene and feel how it plays out for him. Maybe in the future when his nerves are iron clad like many of the top player we love to see, he'll probably be putting on a good show.

The event was okay. Half of the sets ended way too short. As much as I enjoy watching Combofiend dominate, his set against Marn was boring. Marn never had a chance. Best set was probably Clockwork against his opponent.
For the record, Jago is a pussy and if he has the balls to call out Mike Ross or anyone "fraud," he needs to have the balls to step up and play ANYONE regardless the skill level of his opponents. No one got on the mic until after everyone started chanting for Combofiend, who was trying to leave. Even Gootecks was trying to hype up Knives but the crowd wasn't having it. Jago has no pride. He got flown out there on someone else's wallet. Pride would've been playing both Mike and Combofiend since that's where the beef was. Where I stand now... I don't have any videos of epic combos. I don't have any YouTube channels with marvel tech. I don't have anything to prove how good I am. To be honest, I'm not that good at all. I forget to call assists until my last character has 10% health. But I love marvel vs capcom. I love mvc2.I just recently started following the CFC, but I always had that love for fighting games. And I'm upset. Very much so, I would love nothing more but to have fighting games become huge in the U.S. From the way I look at it , you have your 2% of people who buy the game to take it seriously, then you have people like me, who love the game no matter how bad we are, and we are that 98%. Taking it to AE wouldn't have solved anything, though. Mike is more serious with AE than UMvC3, and Jago is more serious with UMvC3 than AE. If they did play and Mike won, then what? I love all this double standard crap that everyone is accepting right now. First of all the match was Mike Ross vs. Jago. Mike lost and instead of simply attempting a salty run back he has to call his boys? I fail to see how Jago is the real pussy here. He came and fought who he came to fight. I heard "a lot" of people hyping M/S/Sent as being the most unbeatable team ra ra, ish you know. 23/28 Wesker variations in major tournaments. Dark Phoniex seems to be surprising unrated as far as pros establishing the cheapest factors to win; money for potential or existing sponsors blah blah. Shes still a factor. And so is Storm, clearly X-factor hailstorm buffed her popularity within causal and hardcore Marvel fans, not that she was ever a terrible. I know Im not the only one missing Combofiend`s She-Hulk. With level 4 Wesker and Foot Drive loop infinities existing in the game. Come The eff on Capcom. Storm is the 2nd Favorited and most recognizable and iconic X-Men after Wolverine too many people including myself. This including Jean Grey. Who btw should`ve entered Mvc3 as Jean Grey, The Marvel Girl not broken Dark Phoniex. Especially if Psylocke, Emma and to a less extend The invisible Woman had been included. Rocket effin` Raccoon and Ironfist and even Ghost Rider. Nic Cage destroyed Rider years back. As Jennifer Garner apparently killed Elektra.

! last point although there is a few errors in some sentences such as missing words. Elektra in the motion picture Daredevil is quite a strong female action co-star. Mostly considering how little of these movies are actually put out. Due to bad script, direction and casting. Catwoman is another exmaple. These feuds are as fake as WWE wrestling. The FGC is too tight knit these days for me to believe that any of these players have any actual ill will towards each other. Between the manufactured drama, the mismatched pairings, and Spooky taking down the archive presumably to sell it later, I gotta give a thumbs down to this event.
Bottom line is that everyone got trolled by Jago. Combofiend said that he wasn't worth the time after Jago called him a fraud, only to step up when his friend got bodied. I would done the same thing Jago did. If you think I'm not worth your time, don't step to me when I embarass your friend in a match. I honestly think Jago was being sarcastic and people were taking it as if he was being a punk. I would love to see these two have a FT5 just to settle this whole debacle. I think Combofiend would win without a doubt, but I think Jago would put up a better fight than Marn did.

mike screwed it. he had a chance in one game with Sentinel against Trish, but he lost the combo - 2 times i think.
he wasnt the favourite, no - but he had the opportunitie to win at least 1 game. And that actually was everything he had to do - win only one game. would have been total different from the feeling i think. but nooo.
the thing is, the match after that wasnt necessairy. He would have finished it like a man, but with a bad feeling - but that wouldvbeen ok. There will be a next time - perhaps already this weekend...
Couldnt he have been prepared for the 5-0 case? I mean, that he (and also gootecks) gone mental thru it? There was no need to cheer the group up 4 another fight. At least not with jago - like he 'Shall!' be destroyed or so... - not necessairy.
It was a bad end 4 mike, but hey, whatever. - but there is no need to lengthen the pain like to let his opponent have the choise about how the situation continues. Finish is finish.

I agree! I think it (Combofiend vs Jago) would have been alot closer than what everyone else thinks.
Combofiend is a great player but he's not as great as people are making him out to be.
He's a damn good player...just as Chris G, Justin Wong, FChamp, Clockwork, Viscant, PR Rog...
i dont know how that rivalry startet - was it just because Mike coquets with him 'being fraud' and surprisingly someone said 'yes, u are' - i dont know. Or was it because jago parodied mike in his 'Honda hundred-Hands' toutorial? If it was this, he shouldhave challanged him in SSF4. I mean, what was the reason that jago challanges someone and makes fun of someone who is quiet probably worse in a game than him? -
@240 mike and combo were talkin about who would be frauds in UltimateMVC3 and the first name that popped up was jago. jago responded back with the whole "Famous Frauds" thing. after on CCTV combo was guest, combo said that playing against jago would be like a football player punching a baby and proposed that mike should play him instead. mike then agree'd to it n BAM bar fights happens and jago exposed mike. then gootecks was the 1 that asked if they wanted to see combofiend play jago even though it was already decided that he would play knives. jago never challenged mike but instead accepted combo terms. idk why ppl are defending ross lol.

Jago is an excellent player and anyone who says otherwise is just hating. He's beaten some top guys and continues to do well.
Like him or hate him, the industry needs people like Jago. Nothing sells a sport like a villain. It creates drama. This rivalry is largely fabricated, but it's a great thing.
Think about it. This event had a couple of guys who are arguably Top 3 in the world at Marvel and yet the spotlight and match everyone was talking about is the one between two guys, one of which is not top 10 and the other of which I couldn't even begin to guess where he would rank. And why? Because one of them is willing to be the villain, and the other the heroic underdog good guy.
I love the rivalry, and I hope it continues, spilling into AE and eventually getting more East Coasters and more Complexity Cross Counter guys in the mix.
Trash talking Jago as d-bag or fraud is just naive.
Also, despite what he said about Combo, when this Ross feud settles, he'll be getting hype on a Jago/Fiend fight as well. I don't think Jago has an answer for Combofiend's Hawkeye, though.

A few comments:
1) Mike didn't suggest Combo to do a runback. He knows he was exposed and accepted it, it was the crowd and Gootecks who wanted it.
2) Gootecks tends to get somewhat salty, including for his friends, and especially against Jago who he dislikes. It's not his best trait.
3) Jago intentionally acts like a jerk to troll, take it or leave it. However, when the crowd starting thirsting for his blood, that was the real Jago, who is just a normal guy who didn't want to get blown up even after he achieved what he came there to do.
4) Combofiend and Mike both should have challenged Jago back on Cross Counter Live. It is not really tasteful to laugh off the idea of Jago vs. Combofiend on the show, and then bring it up when Mike lost.
That is all.
@249 Fact of the matter is that Combofiend doesn't want to blow up his friend, Jago. Jago knows this and the whole "dodging me motherf****r" was just a friendly troll which he stated on fb.
The moment Mike Ross lost, Combofiend took the mic and asked "Who will destroy Jago?" The entire crowd said "You!"
If combo wanted to play there, he should have said something but he continued to look for someone to play Jago.
Knives took the mic but everyone chanted Combofiend. Gootecks saw this as opportunity and wanted a "vote"..but it was pretty obvious what was going to happen.

You're right. I wasn't paying attention, Combofiend was trying to calm the crowd down and get someone else to come and play Andre instead. He never wanted to do it from the beginning.
I've got a lot more respect for Combo after that, classy guy. He knows there's no enjoyment in bodying Jago just for the salty crowd.
I think this is not a good moment for Gootecks, how much he was pushing it despite neither of them wanting to do it.

I literaly thought when i saw him the easy sentinelcombo fall: idiot - u need more practice to be not nervous, to have more routine that u can stay concentrated even in most uncomfortable or exiting matches. to wait until the challanger is finished with 1 combo and to be ready then. man ...
he took it (to a part) 4 fun in the beginning - totally ok. but then, as i said, be prepared for 5-0.
And also Gootecks should learn the game somewhen. He might have understand the sitiuation better. I mean this game will last 4 a looong time; and even 13 year old can play it. It doesnt take so much time to play 1000 matches or so. One or two month will last. (not saying that ur good then, but ur also not a total beginner then)

Mike is weak and came into it like a kid asking to borrow his older brothers ps3 afraid to get smacked on the head. He had no focus at all compared to WNF etc. He was playing FT5 in sfxtekken with Marn a minute before his match (viewable on the other stream) - what the hell is that all about?
Get it straight people. Jago kept talking smack on the little guy. Not saying mike is little but that's not his main game. It's sarcasm when he says he's the best.. He said he'd lose to Jago many times before they played. He even said the match SHOULD go 5-0 in favor of Jago. Why everybody hating on Mike? And proud of Jago? I give Mike credit... He didnt just sit there and give the bully his lunch money. He fought back and got his ass beat first BUT at least he FOUGHT BACK. But when the bully is faced by a bigger bully (combofiend), he chickens out. WHAT!?!?! If Kobe wanted to play me one on one, if Manny pacman wanted to spar, if Tiger woods wanted to play mini golf.. I would in a heart beat. There's always a % to win. Marn KNOWS combo is a better player but he still went in there.. If there's a small % to win, no matter how small, you go for it! Shows Jago's courage... No Balls. LOL
Clearly the most hyped match is Mike Ross vs Jago.
