Ono keen on more collaboration if Tekken X Street Fighter does well

Speaking to VG247, Ono stated that if Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter perform well financially, he would be keen to attempt more collaborations in the future.

It's interesting to know that the future of crossovers or company collaborations with Capcom depends heavily on both games in the Tekken and Street Fighter combination, not just one. Here's a piece from the article that will be updated fully in the future.

“I’m really keen to do more things,” added Ono, “but it all depends on Harada-san’s Tekken x Street Fighter.”

Harada joked he would release TK x SF “before I become senile,” futher joking he “forgot up until recently I had to do that game.”

When given one example of another collaboration after Street Fighter and Tekken between Capcom’s Darkstalkers and Namco’s Soul Calibur, Harada was keen to stress it wouldn’t be “something they’d be looking for from the Calibur or Darkstalkers fans.”

Off the top of my head, if anything was to be a Capcom vs Soul Calibur game it would probably have to be Plasma Sword vs Soul Calibur.

The gameplay style would fit so the game may work very well....

nahhhh, just do a Namco X Capcom 2, but make it a full fighter. Plus add in all of the guest characters from Soul Calibur, and add in some Dragon Ball Z characters that Namco Bandai makes almost every year. Now you have a cool new crossover.

@6: That won't be a problem since TxSF won't be released for at least a year and a half from SFxT, maybe more.

Not to mention the innate gameplay differences drawing different audiences.

Tekken and street fighter is not the best crossover and so far I don't plan on buying that. But I love the crossover games. I want to see a triple or quadruple crossover or at least Sega vs Capcom Or Shonen Jump vs Capcom or Shonen Jump vs Marvel or better yet all four!!! DC and Marvel I would love to see, but that one is less likely.

Even a Marvel crossover within itself would be cool, like a Marvel Super Heroes 2 or better yet they could go with one of the Crossover Story lines like the Civil War or any other cool story.

I was hoping for a new Capcom vs SNK 3 instead of SFxT, but oh well. I hope they do an online version of Cap vs Snk 2 with a new touch of graphics like SF3.

If there is any game that is more party game than fighter, its Powerstone. It would be cool for another one, but for an actual fighter, another Darkstalkers is long overdue. CvS3 would be awesome as well! But more than likely we'll get another Darkstalkers. I'ld also like to see another Rival Schools.

But perhaps an even better idea would be for Capcom to come up with a new fighter franchise altogether instead of rehashing hold ones. Ah well, we'll see.

Been nice to read Plasma Sword/Star Gladiator but I'm honestly content without any crossover. Though if crossing universe's is what's up I'd love a proper Capcom Fighting Evolution.
CVS3 would just be stupid on SNK's part, so I'd think highly unlikely.

Solid reboots or new IP's would be a bteer focus imo.

Darkstalkers is underrated, man. As much as I love Darkstalkers, they only special guest Morrigan/Felicia/Lei-Lei because they are the most well known and, overall, cute characters to pick. They're in more games than their own!

It's like they're being used in other series to keep appeal because they're so popular, not that I don't mind because love is better than no love, but for all the times that they're just being cameos, they should be getting a new game as a result.

A less Gimmicky Warzard 2? Or maybe new information about why the "Darkstalkers are not Dead". How apropos it would have been for Street Fighter V to come out during the 25th anniversary. It still doesn't sit well with me that we get SFxT instead. Oh well.. lets see what next year brings in for announcements.

Well Darkstalker reps did a poor job to interest me that it should get a full game with those three reps (Morigan, Felicia, and Lei-Lei)on UMvC 3.
I seen the TV show, and saw the guy named Donovan which I think should of been in over all of those choices easily. I seen a few gameplay clips on youtube,even Jedah would of been better than all of those choices. Looks good, but nothing for me to be excited for that's why I say overrated.
Well it seems like Ono wants to do that next anyways considering he always try to hype it.

Seriously, though, I would want another Rival Schools or Cyberbots game more than another crossover at this point. Or a whole new fighter altogether--although Capcom isn't showing any interest in such a thing right now. :(

1st was x-men vs street fighter
then was marvel super heroes vs street fighter
then finally marvel vs capcom

so I'm guessing we'll see something like this-

sfxt, txsf
capcom x tekken or namco x street fighter (or both)
then namco x capcom.
