I started playing SF on the SNES with the controller and I've been using the pad up to PS3 with SSFII Turbo HD remix...I was curious and I tried transitioning from the pad to the stick and it was not an easy experience. It took me almost 2 months to learn the stick and although I play with the stick now still have better execution with the pad.
Neither peripherals better over the other, it is just a matter of preference and I bet this generation of players are just proficient with the pad.
I had a Rainbow Edition cabinet in my basement and lived within 15 minutes of 2 arcades when I was a kid, so I used stick way before pad.
I used pad in SF2 on SNES and that sht is still foreign to me.
I use both, but mostly just a regular sony ps3 pad i feel more in "control"of my chracter. What i hate is when you go somewhere to compete and they tell you you cant use a certain pad/fightstick because its a certain brand or because its wireless etc.Can someone recommend a wired fightstick or pad for PS3?
I <3 killer instinct =)
