I never understood these guys. First off these guys are great SF playersj so they are not noobs but when it comes to Marvel they seriously don't take this game seriously.
All the videos and and tutorials out here and they play like they got the game yesterday. Im not trolling or chewing them out but do these guys really try to practice or is this all for $h*ts and giggles?
I don't know maybe the appeal is wearing off a bit I guess.

I feel the same way. It's like I'm just watching any Schmoe play and it's just not capturing my interest. The goofing around is fun, but you already get that with Running Sets and those guys are sickeningly skilled on top of it.
It's shocking to me that Mike is taking this match against Jago. Unless there's something I'm just not seeing, he does not look ready. An set of SF4 matches would be so much better (their last one was pretty good and Mike won).
@6 Thats what I thought because if you listen Gootechs is like asking how you do certain things and is struggling on some simple bnb's, the comment on not mashing for more damage cuz of pride.. Obviously the win ratio starts 3/0. Hopefully they have leveled up since then.
@4 mike ross can play this game if he wanted to. hes messing around here in the video but hes still not too good when serious. gootecks on the other hand has some serious issues. like you said, with all these videos out there why cant he get good? lol he plays lame and cant even do that right.
oh and according to the cross counter live episode mike ross was supposed to be getting dat boot camp training from combofiend so hopefully it pays off. but not really cause im east coast :)
I have my doubts on Ross. Jago has looked pretty good lately. Mike is a ridiculous SF4 player, but I just don't see him beating Jago at this point unless Jago gets caught in a bad matchup, something he hasn't seen before, or Happy Birthdays.
Didn't think it was possible to make UMVC3 boring....
Ross can get 1on1 time practice with Combofiend though prior to their match. If he takes it seriously the sky is the roof. Also; he looked a LOT better in the running sets versus Marn and that was also dated way back.
All in all I have no interest in these things if CC continues to delay them like this. The game has been out for a while who wants to watch day 1 impressions seriously?
F-ck that.
I swear this was posted like a week ago in the middle of the night, then mysteriously taken down. Still watched it again though.
the they being SF4 and being "bad" here is nothing strange to my eyes, i my self can't be bothered to "learn" faster paced games, its just a bit to much for me to learn, and i loose interest, one thing is learning SF4, combos with each character and knowing your matchups, other is learning 50 characters, all the crazy stuff they can do, factor assist, and X-Factor, plus matchups, dashes, push block, combos and all that, its just too much.
dont take me wrong, im not saying this is harder, or takes more skill, its just different.
i for an example am a decent Tekken 6 player, was lower in SF4, did not really got into it. but when it comes to learning little tidbits, like mixups, buffering, plinking and all those stuff, i just get left behind cuz i cant be bothered to learn. Blazblue the same, trying to do combos with other chars im not use to, and since they are not as easy, or require more dashes mid combo i get bored with hem, and go mash for fun lol.
thats one thing i actually like about Tekken, i dont feel as i need to know so many tricks to improve my execution, stuff that will utterly make me be left behind, although there are more technical stuff, as Throw Teching witch i dont learn, i can still "win" if i try hard enough, and just avoid being thrown in the first place.
TL;DR SF4 is totally different from MVC3, and i praise those who play so well at all of those different fighters because it takes a good while to get all the advanced stuff down, and they do it like nothing.
I'm pretty sure I saw this episode before, but like after a couple hours they took it down for some reason.
They were doing fine when playing against people in their ranks, they only lost because they started playing against 9th lords! ): 20 win streak nooo
@14 i do know what you mean. I play ssf4 and feel like a pretty decent, if being modest above average player but sometimes i can get bodied hard in mvc3. The pace alone, getting in etc sometimes just confuses me and i end up just playing the game for sh!t and giggles with friends. Each game needs different skills. Like me vs you on say sf3:3s i'd probably body you and on tekken you'd probably body me
Guys, to be honest, this scrubby affair is painful to watch. Just level up your stats only, or at least select -Any Skill or All skills- because your opponents right now can be beaten with basic spam. It's more fun to see matches against skilled players were you guys (Gootecks) lose(s) and get(s) salty than watching this display of lack of familiarity with the game. And Mike, if you're going to sandbag, at least do interesting stuff with the characters you pick.
Don't let CC fade.
Do you even Know, How too play Pog? I am the Best Gootecks, in Your Face Gootecks. You have too admit I'm the Best Gootecks. You can't Beat me with that stack of pogs Gootecks. Oh, I can win . ............ . . I just need a bigger Slammer LMAO!!!!! Wuuuush! Whole couch/coushin Shakes. The best part was the Ending, nice Reaction when Ghost rider combo'd after The Sentinel force drones lol.
Does anybody even realize that Mike Ross used to be a pretty decent MvC2 player before he played SF4? MvC2 was a much faster paced game than MvC3. There's a reason why he plays Storm/Sent/Anti-Air in this game. It just seems like everybody is ignorant to this fact, or don't know anything about the fgc before SF4 came out.
ChunLi You better get your ass back to those books!
I found it ironic at the Pog commercial at the end. Mike's shirt said I heart Japan and Gootecks shirt said Tiger Tiger Tiger.
-When Mike Ross and Gootecks went to Japan 2 weeks ago there was a Tiger Tiger Tiger shot fest with Sagats.
maybe they dont practice this game, because its already laughably easy to play xD
@20 yh most definitely xD i do own SF3 OE, and i really like the game, dont play ti that much tough, dont have many friend to play on a regular basis to "evolve" but it also tens to get a bit "hectic" i think i might have better chances in SF4 than in SF3, i think i know what im doing, imitating mixups i see and whatnot, but i always get punished by anyone who can do a shoryuken lol. yh MVC3 is just for fun with people who play like me, tough said people are hard to find, they either usually are "hardcore" or "scrubs" who wont defend, or just do the same thing over and over no matter how much you beat them, they make you change the way you play to make things interesting.
Ummm... Has this video not been out for a while, or am I just crazy when I say I watched this whole thing a good week or so ago?
Um...are they goofing around or is that how they actually play?
Some of you lot are waaaay tooo serious ha

@Hootwagon
I agree, that is not ironic. That is a coincidence (kind of). +1 understanding of English vocabulary.
Finally! I don't even play Marvel but I love this stuff. Definitely looking forward to watching this while enjoying a blunt after work.
Good stuff like usual.
