He added this note about the video.
This is hella more difficult when facing left because of the distance between the stick and the buttons. Also, I was scratching my head, not picking my nose, honest.
Tip from Rafael2487.
Desk should consider himself Oro. If he fought people with two hands he'd be too deadly for the world to handle
I think Desk is white and lives in Japan. Correct me if I'm wrong
He's white and lives in ireland or scotland or something like that. Daigo moment was the Daigo moment because he happend in a real life match against justin wong and was an extreme instance of yomi. The execution itself can be pulled off by hundreds of people..... but not with one hand :)
Its funny that in you tube people has been saying
that desk is Zhi in disguise.. lol (^o^)
fraudsquad: What made the Daigo moment so incredible wasn't the fact that he parried the super but how. And you just caught on. You have to parry the first hit BEFORE the flash.
WHY THE FLUP YOU GOTTA SHOW OFF ALL THE FLUPPING TIME DESK?
@14 You do it before the flash to avoid all chip, its the reason why it was so amazing against JWONG. He had to anticipate the super and tap before the super.
MANY COMBOS AND WHAT NOT CAN BE DONE AT HOME WHILE ENJOYING YOURSELF IN THE COMFORT OF YOUR OWN HOME ...
DO IT WHEN IT MATTERS BRO .
I think desk is skilled as all hell when it comes to combos and execution. However, put him in a tournament scene, he'd get bodied.
@Ex_Ein
In Daigo Land, this expression is mandatory at all times: -_-
Therefore, pressure is nothing to him when you feel -_-
@Jerry
The Super after a forward throw works in certain characters, as far as I can remember, Dudley in the corner? Yeah, it's weird.
@35: Wait...an official trial for 3S:OE involves a glitch?
What made Daigo's moment incredible is that at the time no one (IN AMERICA) had even thought to do it. Everyone there had seen it for the first time and thats why the reaction was so big. Of course in Japan it was just the regular thing to do against Chun's super. Shows how lightyears behind America is compared to Japan when it comes to Third Strike.
The reason why it was so big was because Daigo was on the brink of losing and he made sure that wasn't going to happen. It wasn't the fact that he parried a Super. In essence, it was a "Never give up" moment. Did you actually watch the match? Justin had over twice as much health as Daigo, and Daigo had no health left and ended up winning the match.
this was inevitable, so i'm not really suprised lol
Thousands could do it now with these tutorials now, but do it in a real world tournament pressure upon you and randomly in front of a foreign crowd rooting for you opponent. To stay calm in the middle of all that pressure is what real skill and guts are made of.
@ #49 I couldnt agree more

For those bitching about how desk makes stupid combo's and would just get bodied in tournaments... he was playing in tournaments long before most of you SSF4 scrubs started playing... hence why his execution is so good as he played fighters that did not have easy mode shortcuts, End of the day chill out people, he puts these out for fun and to inspire people to get better and show what can be done if you put your mind to it
@43 and @45 what's wrong with ya? I don't see him trying to put down what diago did. I did a hadouken one time with one hand and thought that was the coolest thing i ever done. Let him do what he wants. He hasn't hurt anyone and does many other videos that are useful/broken. This is his hobby he does this for fun.

I am not one of those "bitching" but it is true that I have only seen Desk's play in combo videos and controlled situations, rather than any extensive fighting. I didn't know he was a tournament player. Can you provide a link or anything that would show us some of his tournament results? Curious to see them. Thank you.
Ill have a look dude, sorry if i came off a bit douchey ( was watching the arsenal vs udinese game and i was getting a bit testy)
I know he played CVS2 and was well respected in the UK scene. Ive just done a quick youtube search on desk cvs2 which returned a load of tourny matches with him in it, Ive not watched them yet, but there alot of semi final/ quarter final matches
Ha, so much hatred and jealousy. #trainingMODE4you
actually its not difficult ,the fu*cking difficult is the first point bllank hit.
@64
liar!this first hit is the most difficult thats why umehara and desk double tapped a lot before the super start,in other its near impossible to react to super,you actually have to predict it
@Jerry
Yeah, it's a legit combo.
In case you missed it the first time: It has enough hitstun to continue for as long as you can keep it up, which RSF is one of the hardest things to do in the game consistently, and it took a while for people to figure it out.
Do you really have a problem with it being a long, legit combo that ISN'T a glitch/bug? (That you obviously cannot do)
@Jerry
I don't play him either, but I'm not ignorant about a character.
Sure, it's an infinite, but you have to have extreme muscle memory and consistency to 100% someone with RSF, it's not something everyone can do.
RSF = Combo
Shin Shoryuken to Dudley after throw = Glitch
There is nothing to it than that.
serious.. that guy is da bomb. i really hope someday he will go and fight in tournaments
and i also wouldnt wonder if he does bad. cause of the difference between @home and a screaming audience.
and dont get me wrong. after 2-3 tourneys he might rape all!
go desk!! (or give this guy a job @capcom) (bug detector,balance chief whatever lolz)
greetz from germany
lolz warground...
shut up. if im correct desk never said: "ohoh im the best i would beat everybody in the world in fighting games ohoho"
and i bet.. you cant do this. (@home)
of course it is a big difference if u play @home or at an event (finals..money on the line.. people screaming..)
but he shown so often that he has the execution to be a top player.
if he likes to find bugs. doing crazy combos etc. instead of goin to tournaments (can be stressy ³) so let it be!
@#81
How is it that doing a trial in a game is imitating?
Imitating would be getting in the game with a friend and trying to do it, but when the game it self puts you into the position of doing it, and shows a big "Success!" when you do it, does not seem like imitating to me....
And i don't understand why does Desk get so much hate...
He is skilled as hell at execution, what is so bad about that? I would get it if people saw nothing good, but seeing bad?
He did it with one hand, something i will never, ever do, no matter how hard i try, because i don't have the patience, but he apparently did not take to much time with it, since the game was only just released.
He does this with many things, soon after they come out or something, he find stuff and pushes the limits of the game.
So what if he is not active in the Tourney scene? I see him as a player like me, who likes to test these Fighters and show interesting stuff with him.
I don't think he would win everyone, or that he should getting job offers, it is just a guy who has fun.
Hey i liked discovering on my own that i could do Akuma's second ultra during his teleport, kinda the same feeling, just diferent.
kinda reminds me of how MOV won SBO with a broken hand (of course he had Kuroda and Ino on his team but thats besides the point). lol
@#82
You do not understand.
What has this video that deserves attention? Play a one hand? The DaiGOD combo done? 0-day release? what?
You are innocent. Desk trained yesterday to today? Believe this? When everyone knows that SF3rd have in emulators with cheats/moves programmable. Is the point.
Desk launches the video and says: "one hand is hard, I took one day training for it,SUCCESS". Believe?
Wake up dude. you're a fool? NO.
Video rough for people rough
@85
Despite your comment being difficult to understand, I felt like jumping into the desk discussion. Imitation? To that, I say... basically everything you do is imitation. You're getting mad at Desk for playing part of the game (the trial that they put in THE GAME).
From what I gather, you're saying that this video of Desk doing it one handed is a fake because of programs and emulators? If you didn't notice, this is on the 3rd strike online screen. No other system has 3rd strike trials.
And I see what you're trying to say, but I just don't see the point in the hate for Desk. He makes videos to entertain himself and other people. If you don't like his videos, then that has nothing to do with him, that's just you. It's as simple as "stop watching the video"
Maybe you just don't understand the different parts of gaming. Yes, there are people who play to be the best. The top tournament players. Then, there are people who take parts of the game and turn it into a game itself. The "Daigo parry" is just another one of those games that we've been playing SINCE IT HAPPENED years ago. Everyone tries to do it because it's difficult, and we like a challenge.
I guess that's it for now haha, no real opinion on the video myself. Just desk being desk with his computer-like inputs.
OKAY ive seen some crazy stuff from this guy but this... he must be a robot japan sent him here to make us americans look stupid tho they sorta do that regularly
@#87

God save me...You dont understand I talked about TRAINING in EMULATORS before launch of 3SOE? Serious?
No hate Desk. Maybe for some players this video is WOW, but for me it's a silly youtube video. Only this.
Desk is a very good "combo *training* player".
Lol I'm surprised that it took 75 comments for the "Let's go Justin" comment.
Sweet stuff Desk.
More on topic. The Daigo parry is what made me start playing Street Fighter again. It's by far (for me) the biggest fighting game moment. This also made me a Daigofanboii. Go Daigo, gambatte!
I have the t shirt desk is wearing.... but not the skills he's displaying
Desk did this thing with ONE HAND, thats the deal about it. We dont need to compare it with the real Evo Moment #37 because theyre very different things.
Actually Evo Moment #37 has been very overrated for very long time, its evident that lot of people can execute it. The thing is, how far in a tournament can you risk everything to show off the way Daigo did? There could be any more risky situations, for example, in the very final match of grand finals.
I think that wasnt even a challenge for Daigo, because he hasnt been amazed by his stunt since that day. He is the classic dude that has amazing execution skills, but has no feelings of passion involved at all, winning or losing doesnt mean anything big for him, at the end hes always in competition for the big prize, the big boss to overcome.
Sorry that was off topic, but I've been thinkin about the evo moment for several years, and its one of those magical things to discuss about competitive gameplay. When you have amazing execution skills and lots of experience, I think youre ready to risk everything for a full parry the way this guy did in 2004.
Justin Wong completed this trial...
....and Daigo failed it.
Let the world end now.
[Just joking here.]
Now this time I'm impressed.
