I suppose they could work kind of on their own...
To fight to, not gonna happen... Especially Q and Urien.

WOW your right it sounds just like the oo7 songs from the goldeneye N64 game, just with a china twist. hmp go figure.
BTW. I'm probably the only one here that thinks the original opening theme was more B.A (not that knock you out isn't B.A too).
I think the sound producers just hired Remy to remix all these for his rave party.
@14
yea i had to agree. i heard dudley's and ken's and even elena's themes and i got to say the originals were way much better.
Makoto's theme disappeared in its bass!!! :( But Ibuki's, Akuma's, Oro&Sean's and.... maybe Necro&Twelve's are ok!!
This makes me think... We could be able to choose for each stage if we want remixed theme or not. Just like English/Japanese voices in SSFIV.
THIS shoulda been Elena's new theme.

Most of them suck. :(
Shame, I was looking forward to them...
I found some of them hit or miss. Usually the misses are really bad.
Will there be an option to have the original versions or the arranged version of the originals? I really don't like some of these, especially the remix of Jazzy NYC.
However, some of them are pretty cool and I like the fresh takes on some of the themes (Q's and Ibuki's were pretty cool), but I would prefer the originals for nostalgic reasons.
I like these remixes, I think they are even worth the download to my Ipod and this is coming from a guy who plays most of Capcom fighting games with music on mute.
i love how they first release Chun and Yuns/Yangs (not so much Yang though) remixes. like theyre trying to tell us "remember these two"
lol
I've like the 'Knock you out' tune. Don't think that I can't KNOCK YOU OUT! I also like Gills part where he says, "Resurrection"
Hmmm, after hearing most of the themes I think im getting the point of peoples fustrations and here is my verdict, but first...
In a sense I acturally agree with most people. I actually don't like most of the themes........because I heard the original ones about 10 years ago.
Think about it, the original themes is like 10 years old right? Most of us have grown to love and cherish these themes since child hood. Now do you really expect anything is gonna compare?
It's like someone is trying to do a cover of your favorite bands song for the last 10 years or remake your favorite old movie. No matter how good they sound, no matter how much work they put into it, it's difficult to recapture what caught your attention about the original.
My point is, while it's perfectly fine to criticize, at least try to understand why. Cursing and damning Capcom is pointless, you still can turn the themes to the origials.
At least Capcom gave fans what they wanted, an online SF3 with GGPO and a lot of other goodies thats what matters. Theres like a ton of good remixes out there already anyways.
How amazing I immediately get to hear my darling Chun Chun's theme.
What happened to my Drum&Bass and 90's Hiphop? These all sound like they were made on Fruity Loops, and "Knock You Out" sucks. I hate how they flow, it sounds so bad and slow with an awful chorus. The flow/rhyme scheme of the original was so good. Now it sounds all Kanye'd 2011 new school'd out.
I've been playing Third Strike for years. The OST is classic. nothing can touch it. However, some of these remixes are really great! It's nice to hear something new. Hopefully an in-game option where u can switch/choose theme music for each character.. between original and remixed. That'd be great..if not, oh well..i have the entire OST as MP3 on the PS3.
I noticed there's no round 2 or 3 verses for the remixes like they had for the originals.. Do these have them? Or are they just the loops we have before us?
I'm...in shock. Capcom's done the impossible: they made 3S's soundtrack ever worse than it was originally.
@37.
You have a point. Nostalgia's definitely is a major player in people's opinions towards the new remixes. But there is some legit dislike/hate in general towards these songs for good reasons.
The original tracks, both arranged and original had...for the lack of a better word, "Identity". They went from jazzy to drum-and-bass and a little in between. Best part of all, you can tell them apart from one another.
These new tracks (IMO) sound very convoluted and incoherent with a small hint of old ones buried underneath, DEEP underneath to a point that you have to go out of your way to spot the track.
Some of the remixes are good, wont top the original but pretty damn good.
Kens remix sound alright kinda like megaman though.
Seans remix sounds pretty damn good, gives more of that latin vibe.
Dudley's stage was alright better then that SSFIV version TBH, i like the part where the beat just starts to go nuts then stops.
Twelve's stage was pretty good.
Ibuki's stage sound like a song people who like to trip out to, or maybe even driving.
Remy's stage? STRAIGHT UP TECHNO TIME!!!!!! lol
knock you out is just amazing
