Need alot more Hakan representation. Now if he could get in SFvT...won't happen, but that'd be great for trolling people.
I understand that no scrub could play a good viper and having ridiculous execution is needed to play her at a high level BUT... that flame kick need to have a couple more frames of recovery! I can't stand that vipers can just flame kick all day and not be punished. It seems cheap as hell.

@jesuslovessatan. Burning kick is actually very punishable once you learn the matchup. Focus attacks shoryukens and even some normals beat it. You just have to practice against it. Burning kick already got a huge nerf from vanilla. More recovery frames will just male it useless.
@10, The burning kicks, are very very punishable. if you watch High level vipers play against characters like, Makoto, Fei, and oni. these character all have fast focus attacks, and the use of "spamming" BK's becomes useless as they are really easily lvl 2 focused, and as you know Balrog has the worst Focus attack
As a side note the Balrog was pretty bad he has no experience in the Viper match up, what he doesn't know is that Lp and Mp Thunder knuckles beat out, dash punches, and also this guy probably didn't know that vipers hit-box on her burn kicks are actually projectiles, so theoretically you can wake up turn punch BK's.

Holy sh-t Ryukichikun looks beastly. Maybe it's just that the Rose player wasn't a particularly good one, but getting a double perfect is still crazy as hell.
Plus, his executions on the StandingStrong-->Chickenwing-->StandingFierce-->Rekkas was on point.
Why are so many people calling for Fei Long to be nerfed hard while they still want Viper to stay the same???
Some characters have a much harder time dealing with Viper than they do with Fei Long. If they nerf Fei Long but keep Viper the same, then she'll be even more of an OP b-tch because there would be no other character to match her top-tier status.
@fireinthehole first off, Viper isn't S tier like Fei Long. Secondly, she's not OP. The players winning with her have been using her since Vanilla.
Up until the AE nerfs, she was upper mid-tier. She's only top tier now because she was left untouched and even then, new players and people switching mains aren't winning with her. Her learning curve is too high to just switch to her. If anything, it's the devoted high level players that made her top tier. Not her moveset and attributes.
Correct me if I'm wrong but...
Fei Long: average health/stun, godlike pokes, Rekka easy to hit confirm, good DP, ok command throw (but still command throw), counter ultra (good cuz it's SSF4 Dive Kick Edition)
Viper: below average health/stun, godlike mixups and damage but requires godlike execution, ultra2 pretty much useless, super jump, normals outside of lp/lk need to be canceled into feints to be safe (again requiring good execution)
They don't have to nerf Viper. The only thing they need to change is how her chest looks in the Original costume
GiPie is good, yes, but that match up is really difficult for Adon. Once Elf gets a knockdown then its lights out. Adon has no start up invincibility on any of his moves except rising jag, but as you can see, the Elf player will know that and easily bait them out. It's sickening how easy that match is for Elf players.

what you failed to mention about Fei Long is that his ultras fail pretty hard most of the time. He can't combo into the full animation of U1(not saying he needs it) and U2 is useless except against very, very few characters and even then its a guessing game for the most part. Viper's U1 is SO good. Albeit requires high execution, but with pro players, high execution is a given.

" viper's not great, she requires high execution!" So? Execution barrier shouldnt be factored in when weighing in how good a character is. Because when players are that skilled, everyone has great execution.
I actually would rather Wildcat play oni because i think he's an even more underused character at a high level. He is, to me, the top name for Hakan and Oni though so either way I wish him much success in whomever who he chooses to hand out his beatings.
@keyzerjose if viper was OP then anyone with good execution would pick her up and win with her. That's not happening. The only people winning with her are people who have stuck with her since Vanilla.
People cry "OP!" but no one's dropping their main for her. No one new is winning with her and no top player is switching to her.

@28 exactly, all u guys saying shes op go play her then init, all daigo momochi and tokido conplaining shes top tier, are any of these guys using her given that we know they use top tiers to remain on top.. No! They arent using her. Why u ask? Its not execution thats stoping them we all know they are capable, its because they know she has weaknesses that are easy to exploit and why bother when you can pick easy characters, and im tired of hearing guys using execution as a means to say shes hard to play at this point execution becomes muscle memory shes hard because she has terrible normals and bad recovery outside of fients
Viper is a PLAYER dependent character.
You don't have experience with her, you will suck badly with her in every way.
If you stick with her for a long, long time then you will start seeing the results of your dedication.
She is mindgames to the max and in the end that's what SF is about right? It's not all about trying to pinpoint what's wrong or right with the characters in this game. If you think faster than your enemy and outsmart your opponent as a viper player you will win. If you don't, you will lose. There's a reason she barely been changed in all 3 SF4 games
Wow, the Rose match was painful. I think it's not that the Rose player wasn't good its that Fei and the player are just better. Her orbs are useless as a reversal, her EX spiral is useless as a reversal, she has no options on wake up, especially not in the corner. No reliable reversal, a low damage output, no good combos since most are one-frame links or rely on jump-ins & outside counter hit combos (her frame advantage is pretty poor when compared to higher class fighters like Cammy) , horrible ultras, this character stands no chance against A and S class characters, and some B class characters destroy her (like Rufus once he gets in), the devs really threw any hope of her being good out the window when the twins and the super evil shoto's were being worked on. She was only mid to low B in SSF4 because of her orbs...well at least she is a bit better than D class. I wonder how things will change when the v2012 patch comes out, I predict that not much will change for C and D class though.
@31, couldn't agree more. i tried to pick up viper in super. i gave up. i know that i wont get anywhere, just because there isn't enough time for improvement. you can't just pick up Viper afresh, to be even slightly good with her, you'd have to have picked her up 3 years ago.
In the 2012 edition i hope they make Hakan better, i was really good with him at one point, but now, after dive kick edition arrived i gave up and turned to Yun.
Viper takes a lot of work to win with, if you were a tournament player using her for 3 years, you wouldn't expect to make it far with her? It's not SF4 Sagat or AE Yun. Viper's burn kick is also very susceptible to being baited and punished. You have to be a better player to make her work, especially since she's very mix-up reliant.
Wow, never realized Adon was so free in the Fuerte match-up. xD
Also, quite sad to see what happened to Rose....lol at 2 perfects.
I hope wildcat drops Oni because I love his hakan.
