Street Fighter Miscellany is a site containing a bunch of random factoids for the franchise we know and love. There are a number of details you're probably familiar with in here, but that are some obscure references and notes that you may not have picked up over the years.Birdie holds the bizarre distinction of being the only Street Fighter character to completely change race from one appearance to the next! In Street Fighter he is clearly white but when his design was updated for inclusion in Warriors' Dreams (Street Fighter Alpha) he became black, whilst the rest of his design remained essentially the same. Capcom knowingly referenced this barefaced change in Secret File #16 (see picture) and playfully in one of his Alpha 3 win quotes:
Oh, what!? ... Before? I looked pale because I was sick!!
Entering the classic 'Konami code' (↑, ↑, ↓, ↓, ←, →, ←, →, MP, LP) as player-2 during the attract mode's demo fight in arcade World Warrior causes twelve sets of numbers to pop up. Each set refers to the following: (1) Unknown (2) The number of coins put in the left hand slot (3) Unknown (4) The number of coins put in the right hand slot (5) The number of times Ryu has been used (6) Likewise E. Honda (7) Blanka (8) Guile (9) Ken (10) Chun-Li (11) Zangief (12) Dhalsim. These numbers would be highly useful to Capcom in gauging the popularity of each character. The code is expanded in Champion Edition to include the four boss characters.

Lol at the Birdie reference. That's a good way to cover up design. Cool site for reference and origin of street fighter ideas.
"Much to the annoyance of players who prefer the original colour schemes for their favourite fighters, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo only allows this by entering a code on character select. The downside of using the code is that your character is quite literally an old version, meaning his or her super move is disabled which puts you at an immediate disadvantage against a notoriously difficult CPU. However, a glitch in the code was discovered that allows the player to use the original colours and keep their super move! Here's how:"
page 5. i guess OG ST players would completely disagree considering some of the old versions such as o.sagat and stuff are actually better than the super turbo counterpart
The qouted one is pretty well known
