great video, although it sucks when you play a shoto player that just sits back and spams punch building meter while you have to find a way ion and all they do it turtle and build meter

Can't Hugo build meter as well in a very similar way? I'd think Hugo with Meter is scarier than a Shoto :P

to be honest, parrying or hitting your opponent will make it fair to Gain Meter. (MvC2 Broken ishh) but who I'm I to say anything. I'm not a Pro at this game. maybe On / Off huh capcom

like SF4, gaining meter only by special moves and hitting your opponent.

@ 6 you can gain meter by doing empty normals unlike SFIV.

Basic stuff, whilst it was informal and a good vid, felt like i wasted my time personally, keep up the work c-royd if you are reading ^_^

@2 honestly the if a Hugo player wanted to gain meter spamming normals the only one would be Mp, which it not very safe to do because of the recovery on it.

seriously boy?... are you really stupid? nearly impossible to turtle in 3s? you must not know what your talking about, anyone can turtle in 3s it just depends on how skilled the players is. hell i have played many people who turtle in 3s and are pretty decent players.

in 3rd strike unlike SF4 every character has a way of going across the screen in a second or having a move that attacks that fast.

Q/12 have slow walk speeds but have special moves that make that travel the screen very quick.

Sean has his basketball to throw and Hugo has that air throw that travels full screen.

Im still pissed that Ken, Chun and Yun were the 1st ones this guy showed players on how to build meter.

@11: Can you blame him? When non-fans think of 3rd Strike, those are the only characters that come to mind.

3s is all about the yun,chun, and ken, with special guest Urien,Makoto and dud. so people if you get tired of seeing these characters then 3s is not for you

The game has been around for 12 years. That's not a "fad". If not for SF4 this game would probably still headline EVO.

You just noted 6 extremely viable characters. 6 is a large chunk of the select screen in this game. Not to mention there are some really good Hugo, Ryu, Necro and Akuma players around.

Even though it's an old game, don't be surprised to see some new tactics and strong characters emerge once this hits the online community.

Most people on this site seem to be basing their opinions on 10+ years of YouTube videos of Pros playing in tournaments. If SF4 has taught you guys anything, I'd hope you'd have learned that what you see at the tournaments vs online are worlds apart.

In short... Stop cutting this game to the quick. Give it a chance. I'd bet a good majority of the people saying "Yun, Chun, Ken" have never even played 3s.
