If you've hacked the PC Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition leaderboards, you will probably be sorry you did so according to Capcom's Christian Svensson, via the Unity Boards. Sven didn't elaborate on what will happen to those users, but he did offer some details on what the next title update will contain for PC gamers.

Bugs/issues have been brought up about the PC SSF4 AE release, have you been seeing them?
Svensson: All issues have all been cataloged. They have not all been reproducable in our labs and as such not all are being addressed.
The upcoming title update should cover the following (there may be more):
SC2 has it right. No warnings. Found hacking, you get banned, account gone. Want to play again? Buy the game again and create another account. It discourages hackers and puts money straight in Blizz's pocket. And knowing hackers like they do, they will try and do it again and again until they can no longer fork out the $30-40 dollars for a new game.

@Okay142 I play AE on both console and PC and the console players are muuuuuuch better on average. a lot of PC players don't even know the Ryu matchup with their character. Of course Consoles have had much much more time to practice with super and AE so i guess time will tell. :D

Whoa bud. I own a PS3 and have played on Xbox and it's clear PC's are way ahead. Also, I'm sure you can get some professional help for whatever you're dealing with now.
@27 Zoh my god O.o Relax. Jeez did a pc touch you inappropriately as a child?? PC's and Consoles both have a place in gaming. Just depends what mood you're in and what type of game you are playing.
However if you think that consoles are technologically more advanced than PC’s you're just kidding yourself. Wii/PS3/360's are only as powerful as they were when they were first made (and they weren't that cutting edge then). When you build a new PC on the other hand you build it with the newest technologies. I've had 3 major Pc upgrades since the 360 emerged and PCs are miles ahead now. It's why my Xbox runs SF at 60 FPS and my pc runs it at 200 FPS. I still enjoy playing on both platforms because they provide different experiences player wise.
Anyway both of our posts are completely off topic, so i guess it doesn't really matter. Go put your apparent endless supply of rage to some good use and wreck some unsuspecting Dhalsims.

First I consider the economy a problem but people hacking the leaderboards on the pc version of ae I dont consider that a problem. Sorry its just not high on the priority list to me. Second I dont just turn my head Im smart enough to know that if a group of hackers can hack the ps3 and xbox then trying to stop them from hacking a even more open system is futile. Im sure a few of those hackers are better at their job then some of the people at capcom, so maybe youre the one being naive. There is no number one dont be naive, life isnt fair dont be naive, rankings on a videogame system mean nothing and arent important dont be naive. Let's be honest for a second . Those that cheated the leaderboard aren't hacker. THey're a bunch of teen that probably used the old third party software that they downloaded from some shady sites in 2009 and worked again on SSF4 AE .
The major difference is that now your account is linked to your serial key . SF4 was pirated to the gill because everyone could play online(yes pirates) . Any cd key worked. Capcom fixed this WITH AE but some of them probably purchased the retail version and did it again .
Now capcom can probably BAN THEIR CD key from working. IF GFWL ban their account .. That mena every game registered to that account won,t be accessible. But i guess they don't care because they're probably a bunch of pirates anyway.
@34 why are you even comparing the economy to a freakin video game? And this problem does need to be solved. Just because it MIGHT not be important to you, doesn't mean it isn't important to everybody else. IF capcom decides to ban these hackers, it will show other hackers that there are negative reactions to their own actions. Yeah you MIGHT have those people who think they'll get away with it, but it will still turn away others. And you are basically telling capcom to turn their head to the problem. And IF capcom lets that happen more and more people are going to get turned off from the pc because it will be a hackfest.

But if somebody jumps from 3 digits to 7 or 8 digits in like a few minutes or an hour, i'm pretty sure it would be much easier to spot...

Wouldnt you be pissed if you got banned because your bro or sis was playing when you were out at work or school? Everything isnt just as easy as you make it seem and it really isnt a problem. @39 Clearly missed the big IF in my statement. And what does banning people off of their servers in SSIV and UMvC3 coming out soon have to do with each other? Does anyone notice in the battle points leaderboards, every single person has ryu BP, but has never touched him, or anything similiar, for instance, I was checking out dj leaderboards, and at the top, there are like 7 fei long players, they main fei long, and their 'dj' bp matchs up with their fei. Anyone notice?
