Tip from Fawaz.
Man this guy is hot, and shows advanced Makoto at her best!
Mixing up the timings to confuse the opponent, esp.with the tsurugi/axe kick which is very flexible on timings.
I love the use of oroshi/chop to build meter when the opponent is far away. Although the build is small at 30 (and the fukiage/upwards punch builds the same on whiff) it still threatens the opponent, because Makoto's EX moves are so dangerous.
Great vids, thanks XUpYourGameX and Event Hubs, from Mak drivers everywhere!
I play against so many makotos online... But when they are good, they are REALLY good. Its like playing against a good gief player. You start getting that psychological feeling that no matter what, you get to stay away from the guy. Turtle? No, just don't get knocked down.
Oh yeah, and if you're struggling with the tsurugi ending to the double EX combo, just use EX hayate. It does almost as much damage at the 2-hit EX tsurugi (and in fact more damage than a 1-hit connection) but is much easier to land after the fukiage!
'Nage out...
He is the best Makoto and one of my favorite players. I uploaded some of his fights from both AE & Super. And Ov3rheadGreg uploaded his fights from tournaments.

Never do a karakusa after a focus, Tsurugi nets you far more damage
These videos we're awesome, I really like Street Fighter, but I feel in this new action packed world, Characters that can zone with fireballs should be tweaked slightly so that recovery on fireball is about 4-6 frames longer so more people would be encouraged to fight head on. Chun-Li is the perfect balance in my opinion, she has a fireball but zoning with it is really hard, so most chun's tend to use them to set something up, I hoped with AE more fireball characters would be tweaked in a similar way, but it seems like only Ryu got a slight that slight tweak.
sorry if it sounds like a rant but these video's were that awesome! seeing rushdown in you're face action makes me wish that matches like these we're the norm and not the exception. AWESOME!AWESOME! videos.
Not too bad, although I do have to say that the Makoto's on XBL are way better, and more entertaining to watch. Haitani and Vryu, def more entertaining to watch but this Makoto was good too. I like watching how in some matchs they just froze. They were afraid to do anything and ended up getting ate up. Abel match is def one of those.
Wasn't this guy a Blanka player? First btw:)
