• The Battle log saves the last 100 matches.
• You get to see the Handicap Trials, including one where your character starts with almost no health.
• Video of the combo trials are included, and they work a lot like the ones in the SF4 series.
• The Save State feature is demoed, where if there's a certain set of circumstances you want to flash back to, like Ryu being an inch off the ground, you can jump right back to that state with the touch of a button over and over again.
This of course recaps a lot of previously covered ground, but if you're hyped about the game and it's various modes, it's a good way to see things in action before its released.

@2 and 3.
That happens because of youtube's 30 FPS rule, while the game is running at 60 FPS. So the frames that were supposed to show Yun blue are simply being cut from youtube. It happens quite a lot on 3s matches over the internet, and on a lot of other videos as well.
i really dont care about this game, it was dead for a reason
#6 " it was dead for a reason "
Game was never dead it had a following that loved it. The problem was it was too complicated for noobs to figure out so it didn't get the acknowledge ment it deserved that's all. This game is how SF4 should have been but the dumbed it down with comebacks for noobs to get into & stand chance, don't get me wrong SF4 is awesome but SF3:3RD STRIKE was Godly perfect for those who liked the challenge & strategy that came with it.
Does anyone know if you can Youtube upload offline matches?
I have this on PS2 and Dreamcast...And i can play this online at Supercade.
Even though its in HD and all, I play most SF games on small screen due to TV lag on big screen because of the strict timings on combos(which is possible but can mess up your timing when switching back and forth)
Why should i buy it? There are many great games coming out soon. Im on the fence of either pre-ordering it right now or just wait for it to go on sale, because there are many great games coming out soon that i plan on sticking with for a long time(KOFXIII,BF3,TT2) not to mention i already have AE to master, and MK that i play casually.
So why should i buy it? Is it worth it to drop SSFIV
Alltogether to master 3rd Strike?
Nice job Capcom. Next up, Alpha 3 online.....right?
@#16
Its not in true HD, and you can have it look like it does normally. so on a small screen you wouldnt even have to worry about the scanline features or anything, just play it as you have been else where with a crapload of extras :D
Why should you buy it? cause unlike them other games which go for about $40-$60, you get quality for $15 with the same/ or more content then the bigger games. And if you have been playing it before, you will have a headstart when picking back up 3s on a more optimal platform.
If you are planning on getting them other fighters, why debate on dropping SSFIV? If anything having games in rotation could help keep things fresh and also keep you sharp. As when some of the top players say about playing mvc3 sharpening their reflexes and it translating back to ssf4. No need to drop one game completely to master another, be versatile and expand your skill set and have it mold into the other games.
Personally when i went from 3s to sf4, my footsies, execution, baits all translated over nicely. So i ended up starting off in sf4 fairly strong over the rest of my friends. So dont choose my dude, take it all in :D, if you are a big tournament player then it "may" be the time to narrow down how many you play seriously at once.
@18
Said it perfectly! Nice.
@everyone
SF3 is an amazing game. I played the full ten years while waiting for SF4 and cannot recommend it enough! And for $15.00 this game and additional content is a steal!
I would also like to say that 3s fanboys (myself included) should not take this as an opportunity to bash SF4. These games are very different, but BOTH can be played at an extremely high level!
SF4 can be every bit as technical as 3s if you fully exhaust the Focus Attact, Focus Cancel combo system. Some might say that the FA system is more technical than the Parry system.
Either way, they are both great games and both part of the rich SF Family!
I don't understand what's so hard about 3S. As said, you block and attack. I also don't understand what's so hard about parrying. You just tap forward. If have trouble with that, just either parry only fireballs or don't parry anything at all. It's not that hard. I truly believe the people who believe 3S is too complicated started off playing and only play SF4.
@18 Wow thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. U have my respects.
Yea ill probably go ahead and pre-order this game now. This game just gives me chills everytime i boot it up, with the whole hip hop vibe it just brings me back to the 90's and early 2000.
And to be able to relive playing the game while actually trying to master it, its like living the past and present at the same time.
I hope this game turns out to sell alot, because who knows, maybe they will continue the SF3 series if enough fans demand it after knowing 3rd strike OE came to a huge success?
