Haven't seen this yet, but hopefully this translator is better than Poongko's.

Translators should adhere to the rule of never adding anything other than what the original person said.

Tekken > in Street Fighter in Korea. KOF > Street Fighter in China.

I've never seen Infiltration without his hat. I need to see what he's hiding.

I'm a little surprised that Infiltration mentioned the historical tensions between Japan and Korea.

I can understand it a bit myself me being Chinese. However it's usually more my parents' generation and grand-parents' generation where this tension originates from more because of the 2nd World War as opposed to anything I have personally experienced.

I wonder if that tension exists still now for a younger generation because of old bad blood or if it was something new people personally experienced? I know, for instance, from a Japanese friend of mine that Japanese tend to view Korean made products as inferior (Samsung for instance).

I know that Chinese living in Japan are treated as second class citizens while ex-pats from a more European lineage (i.e. White people) are treated with more interest and respect.

However, my living my whole life in America, I may be more alienated from these experiences since I don't have to deal with them every day.

Either way, I hope that these negative feelings between these communities can be converted into positive friendly rivalries such as in Street Fighter.

It may be a pipe dream but one can only hope.

It's difficult for the translators to not add or subtract because 1) the interviewer usually asks compound and open ended questions, which are followed up by 2) a narrative answer from the interviewee. They need to break everything down more.

I agree. Cross Counter Asia is awesome. Zhi is an excellent addition to the staff.

Don't worry about the translation, Laugh is the perfect person to translate for Infiltration.

-Laugh has excellent English since he says he lived in the US for years.
-Korean is his primary language
-He's buddies with Infiltration so Laugh understands what's on his friend's mind.

Street fighter ain't second period .. It's probably first person shooter like Halo or even counter-strike.

Of course, Laugh translating for Infiltration is no brainer (they being friends and all), but Zhi had added unnecessary stuff before during the Fuudo bathroom interview (reaction god?). And let's not even get started with CC Poongko interview.
