I felt bad for Yama. It would be nice if Capcom could include both an original and rebalaced version of 3rd strike.
I played Twelve (and will play him again). A few times I won with him at Chinatown and people were giving me handshakes and patting me on the back. He's hilariously fun, and I'm glad he's so bad and rarely seen, because that means he's able to take people by surprise.
Catalyst Typed: "...it's very clear how hard Twelve has to work for his victories. Twelve has an extremely unorthodox fighting style that differs from any other street fighter character that has been created. For those who do not know why Twelve is such a bad character, his damage output is very low, he has below average health, and he does not have the best set of hit confirms into his super."
-Just like El Fuerte
@Gamepirate420
Actually Who Is Alpha typed that ;D
says so at the top under the title
And people will still defend this game as being balanced...
@ to alll the people who want a rebalance
Hey!! this game dont need a rebalance its fun the way it is!!
why worring picking this kind of character if you can pick a top?? Damn in past times people dont cry and just "adapt"( dropping hes character and chosing a better one). I miss the old school.
If capcom rebalance the game my (chose any top character and insert here) will have problems with low character and I will need to do some effort :(
Please capcom dont rebalance you will splint the tier whore players... mmm I mean the player count xD
What's the problem with including a rebalanced version? The long time players are so elitist and unwelcoming that they wouldnt even notice people were playing a different version anyway. They just want the 3s AE community to grow so they can have something to complain about.
I really wished they would have a re-balanced version included. I always play the wack jobs in the game. 12 is one of my favorites but yea when friends and I play it at home its brutal how his pokes are not that great nor have damage. I also like playing Sean who is also garbage :(
Hopefully at the least they include these 2 in SFxTekken and BALANCE them.
@5
ElF was compared to guy before guy was put in the game. guy is the original run stopper. and he loses to ElF.
Alright time to drop some thoughts.
@#5
yea fuerte in general share some of the traits of twelve, But atleast he has access to damaging ultras and RSF which can lead to good damage and be used as a hitconfirm to super. And a solid gameplan when it comes to harassing people on wakeup. Twelve doesnt have that, not even in high level play.
@#14
Rebalancing is just gonna alienate the folks that really wanted the game in the first place. Dont wanna have what happened with HDR to repeat. And capcom is against separating the player base.
@people referencing sean
Sean has fairly damaging superarts(sa2 and sa3) good normals like the other shotos(damage and frame wise). The thing that screws sean over are his specials having crappy start ups and recovery(tornay,heel kick) crappy hitboxes(srk). His dash portion for his tackle is decent for canceling normals but the tackle part can be blocked and is very punishable.
So the things that make twelve weak isnt what make sean weak. Sean can be used if you have the fundamentals down, twelve doesnt even have that much.
Who was that real famous Twelve user his name escapes me ATM.
@#19
Is yamazaki the one you are refering too? Or moto. Only two i can recall.
@#20
Lol what your handle on GGPO? Bodler has about the best sean on ggpo, seanlegacy is decent, and there is me(name has the word sauce in it) Sean users off the top of my head that actually try to use sean instead of trying to troll poorly.
@#23
LOL oops, trailing thoughts ftl. watched the video, came back to check out the comments and must of slipped my mind haha.
While I want to say twelve is underpowered, I can't think of a way to push him higher up on the tier list without making him "too" powerful. Even the slightest damage increase, with 12 in the right hands, that'd be disastrous lol.
Dilemmas like this are part of the reason I love 3s ;P Huge Yamazaki fan, so much respect for him.
Parry is the "X-Factor" in this game (Seriously no pun intended or reference to MvC3). If there was no Parry, characters like Twelve and Remy would be top tier or higher at least. Parry simply shuts their game down. If you were to go in the game and disable Parry, the Tier List would change so dramatically. It might take skill to Parry but it's still a major factor when balancing this game. thats my honest opinion about this.
Not complaining here, it's just i hear people talk about OP characters but thats only because the characters designed to defeat them are handicapped by the game system.

I KNEW something was up, the vid says yama but in the write up it says yamazaki. Shouldnt have second guess myself. Yamazaki uses a brown color 12, yama uses bluish/green, moto uses a bright green.
So yea the write up is wrong even the japanese version of the names are different between yama and yamazaki. explains why this twelve user was struggling against a mediocre akuma player that keeps dropping srk after tatsu.
http://youtu.be/DIXOLV1-WBg real yamazaki game style
please stop at hinting to 3s rebalance
