C. Viper has apparently teamed up with Dr. Evil and can now shoot laser beams in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, as DimmuMaiden and Thisluksinfektd pointed out in the clip below, around the 5 minute mark.

It goes by somewhat fast, so here are a few screen grabs.

Of all of the new moves to give C. Viper, this was probably one of the least expected attacks, something that people can't help but draw comparisons to Cyclops with.

That's.... Interesting to say the least. If this move was to be included in the game, C. Viper would have been one of the last characters I expected this from. Although, she does have a lot of tech stuff so I guess it makes some sense...

i'm pretty sure the excuse for the laser will be the shades C.viper wears. all her accessories have a use and giver her tie special power would be dumb, thus, laser shades.

Maybe Samuel L. Jackson gave her the laser shades. He probably has a bunch of them, because he's also Frozone and Frozone has a visor like Cyclops.

Well IMO Viper needed some sort of projectile in her arsenal, at least in the wacky universe that is MVC3. Pretty much just made an already good character better. Is it just me or is capcom buffing the crap out of the Street fighter series characters for the most part? Akuma is getting nerfed a bit but he was already pretty buff with x-factor and what not. Ryu, Chun (I think dont quote me on this), and now Viper have gotten buffs. Just an observation/opinion

Well I guess I understand the reasoning. Every time Viper does a special, her glasses flash red briefly. This move explains what that red flash is for.

Did Viper really need another move lifted straight from another fighting game character? She was fairly decent in regular Marvel 3 (but there wasn't any point to using her with Dark Phoenix).
Also, who's hiding all that news on Chun-Li's upgrades??

unless they nerfed seismo somehow, i dont see why she would need a beam. it looks to have a higher hitbox than thors beam(in which many can crouch/walk under it. Plus chain seismos are much more dangerous, especially against a bad assist call(can lead to a free assist kill if they dont stop her)

(Even from Shaky Cam footage, we can tell this is Viper and NOT MODOK. If you've actually played/seen MODOK you'd know his beam looks diff...and comes from his head....etc.

I assume from your wording and the icon pictures in your link that you are petitioning for the Eddie Brock to be in the game. If that is the case, unfortunately I don't see that happening. Eddie Brock is no longer Venom, Flash Thompson has taken over and has a vastly different look, is not a villian and uses guns. The character has his own comic series so I find it highly unlikely Marvel will go back old school and put a character into the game that no longer exists within continuity.

I don't think they nerfed Emergency Combonation, she didn't make it through Magnetic Shockwave because it was DHCed from Hyper Sentinel Force. She already can't go through Hyper Sentinel Force without being hit in Vanilla MVC3. If Magneto did that Hyper alone. She would've beaten him out.
