Once again G4 proving they really shouldn't pretend they know anything about fighting games. From the finals commentary of last year to their coverage this year, it's been nothing but wannabe and amateurish.
@4: Yes, Evo should have no major Television coverage, ever.
It might be amateurish, but at least it's giving the event publicity. And besides, this is their opinion. It may clash with yours, but that's what an opinion is, something that may be different.
Though I do think the Poongko vs Daigo should've been on the list.
Thank god someone did a list that wasn't just MVC and Street Fighter. Evo was amazing this year, and it was because every game delivered in giving entertaining and hyped matches several times.
Sure, Poongko's moment should have been on the list, but we all KNOW that it was one of the big ones.
Yeah, Poongko vs. Daigo probably wasn't included to save face. Doesn't make it any less stupid, but that's probably why.

My top 3 is Poongko vs Daigo, then the Wong/PR Rog comebacks. Don't know how Daigo getting destroyed is so low on the list.

I agree. Seth vs Yun match up clearly is heavily in Seth's favor.
Just looking at the match up track record tells something in itself. Poongko raped both Daigo and Momochi because he had a big advantage in the particular match up against Yun, but then he lost to both Fuudo and Viper who were characters that had more even match ups against Seth.
People who still ignorantly proclaims that Seth vs Yun is 5-5 at worst are basically trying to say that Momochi and Daigo are on a much lower skill-level than Fuudo, Poongko, and Latif. Which is something that I don't agree with.
Lol everyone everywhere is raging towards G4 about not adding the Daigo Poongko fight. By far the biggest fail.
But its not really that hard to understand why they didn't pick Daigo Poongko. Even thou it was THE hypest moment of EVO, from a perspective outside of community the fight itself wasn't that impressive. It was a rape, but not an actual exciting close match. We all got extremely hype because it was freaking DAIGO against new legend Poongko. If you don't know who they are, chances are you won't see anything too amazing on that fight, which really take us back to "If you don't know crap about fighting games or the community, why bother making a top 10 moments?" :D

NO, they changed the video. #9 was a Tekken clip before, I believe it was a Law player with very low life making a clutch comeback.

You are exactly what's wrong in this community. G4 may be new to this, but that's a good thing. It shows that people who originally had no interested are now wanting to get into the community. People like you would rather have the community be a small, close-knit group of people, and it's not. It hasn't been for a long time. You mock them for not being knowledgeable, but you don't want them to stick around and learn.
