I would imagine in a setting like that, It would be a bit on the boring side.
This was really well done. The humor lies in it's ironic seriousness. Hope to see more of these on different characters.
the fan fiction of street fighter characters is awesome
I watched this on the EVO stream, and at the time thought it was so-so. I personally think this would have benefited from more subtle humour; like the fake explanation of the boss name changes, but that's just me.
Props to the actors who did this.
The acting was very convincing.
This was amaazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing, crazy brilliant. Im surprised some didn't like it, might be that everyone has a diff. humor style, or that people are just not familiar with Balrog's quotes/style.
I was crackin' up man. ''...You got paid son *tear*''
it was very good, but i was so not willing to watch this during evo lol. I feel like I've made up for a disservice lol
This was horrible. The only good part was how he changed the names.
It was very well done and had a lot of clever explanations for Balrog's backstory. I like how they tried to mix in the factual information with things that only happen in the game. I'm gonna show this to my friend who's a very casual player that mains Balrog.
very good short film, better then both hollywood movies together.. great actors.. and u can tell they were fans of sf.. unlike dumbass people incharge making sf movies at the box office
I'm surprised that some people actually didn't like this, it was awesome all the way through.
Personally I thought the funniest part was "WHO THE ELSE HELL COULD IT BE?"
But this wasn't made to be a laugh a minute, it was made to be a cool tribute to a Boxer, the humor was just bonus.
This was pretty good, to each his own but i thought some parts were funny/ironic and its was a very high quality production. Even if you didn't find it humorous I think anyone who's a fan of the SF series or video games in general should appreciate and support productions like this. The more support we show for things like this the more we will eventually see of it! Seriously this 12 minute YouTube video had better casting, acting, writing, and production than the whole '94 SF movie. SUPPORT THIS TYPE OF THING YOU GUYS! :)!!
I liked the acting and the way the characters looked. The story however seemed really... non-believable. I've never been too much of a fan of fighting game storylines, mostly because they're inconsistent or just stupid. (Mortal Kombat's story is the only fighting game story that has potential though.)
Though I do give these people props. For as hard as this was to pull off, I thought that they did very well.
This was nice. I hope they make one about Vega. He has a huge, serious back story. Bullfighting, travelling to Japan to learn Ninjutsu, coming back to hear his stepfather hurled his mother out the balcony, killing his stepfather. Pretty tragic story.
I saw this on the EVO stream and best part is how he has his gloves on the entire film :D.
Wow, u guys suck.
i saw this at evo, and yeah i was waiting to get to AE top 8 more than any of you, and this video was still great.
it was only 12 mins long and hilarious.
I don't know what it is but a lot of people within the community will never admit that they are impressed by something. We all know 3/4th of the community is filled with complainers. But on a lighter note, I found the acting to be really good. Especially the father.
@42 Thats because people, by nature like to think of themselves as sophisticated. Too Cool for School attitude.
People feel that if they are the first to jump up and say they like something, everyone else is gonna say they hate it and they will be left out or feel weird/different. It's easier to be negetive and say no while everyone says ok.
Basically grade school stuff, the short answer here is people are just not mature enough to have their own true intelligent opinion about something.
@43
It's frustrating isn't it? Worst part about it is that kind of attitude seems to spread like a wild fire. Even effects me to some degree. I have a love/hate relationship with this game(SF) cause of the players.
Was a top quality production I would rate it a 7/10
Few things that irked me...
His inconsistent tape line..as a kid the zigzags were way in front
And as an adult they were pushed way back...lol
The father was the best actor...the tears didn't seem forced
The sf cannon was nice as far as mike bison and the boss name change from a card game bet didn't seem believable to me
But the camera work was nice as far as the mix into old Arsenio Hall footage...I wonder if they used dslr's or reg commercial equipment
Pegasus J. Crawford once lost at poker to Mike Bison; now his last name is what his first name was and his first name is Maximilian.
Roronoa Zorro lost at poker to Mike Bison; now he's called Zolo.
Catz once lost at poker to Mike Bison; now all his base are belong to Mike.
Poison once lost a game of poker to Mike Bison; she ended up with a penis.
Bandit Keith once played a game russian roulette with Mike Bison. Using Keith's finger. Keith STILL lost.
Helmeppo once lost a game of poker to Mike Bison. Bison took his pistol, but then felt sorry for him and gave him a hammer.
Ash once WON a game of poker against Mike Bison. He woke up the next morning with a herd of Tauros - with no idea how they got there.
Mike Bison actually used to be named George Foreman. But he made a bet with another boxer that he could make better, more fat-free grilled food than anyone. He was so proud of it, he put his name on it.
i thought this was really boring when i t was played during evo
maybe because i was just anxious about the sf4 top 8
will watch this again with less bias...
