Hugo is very much better than Zanjief... And how did he do 720 degree while just standing!?
im not a hugo player but i would say he uses partitioning for the 720. this matchup is fun to play, two mistakes will cost you the match and you can do some good pressure with SA3.
better than Gief that's a stretch it's a shame that the only way that could be settled would have been if he was added instead of the four in AE.

Really... i think hugo could work, ive heard/read he really needs the parries to work , but if he has focus attack... its a one time parry :Pand the 720 would work etc. I mean it... he would be AWESOME, and we need 1 more grappler!

Also Hugo is low tier. Usually character B+ or lower in 3s don't get so much screen time at tournaments. Recently though I have scene much more Hugo though.. which is nice.

While most of the time, standing 720 is partitioned you can infact (in 3s) do a pure standing 720. The key/trick is doing a 540. so one full 360 and one half, the last half circle is done during the start up frame of a super jump that is activated when doing a fast 360.

I'm still Mad Stoked for AE, but a shame Capcom would pass on the chance to make this a day one seller for everyone.

I think it would have been the final piece of the puzzle. Sadly, Ono trolled us on two accounts making the masses think the Alex and Hugo would make the cut.
1) The "Flaming Figure" that looked exactly like crouching Alex from 3S. God only knows what that was. (cuz it wasn't chun).
2) Quoting Ono: "I wouldn't add Haggar to the game, but I would add Hugo". Then Haggar shows up in MvsC3, leading several to believe that Hugo must be bound for Ssf4Ae.
It was the opportunity to complete the transition from 4's story into 3. Having Alex bridge the gap.
I like Evil and Oni, but I'm not sure how they move the story towards 3... I guess they don't.
