• CoolBoyCorporate has created a tutorial video showing off the 100% combos that Deadpool can execute while under the effects of Level 3 X-Factor. He also shows how you can start these infinites from anywhere on the screen.
• SmexyMillz has uploaded an MvC3 video featuring Zero. In it, he shows how to take advantage of the "flying screen" to make your mixups impossible to see coming. This is especially potent with Zero and his ability to easily cross up the opponent. SmexyMillz also has similar interesting content on his channel.
• Sumo has written the next entry in his "Why Fighting Game Stories Lack Substance" series. In this part of his blog he talks about how the players relate to the story.
• WinnerStaysOn (a weekly event held in London) has put up some new videos for the MvC3 side of the competition. The Grand Finals feature a player called HowtoRead who plays a team of Viewtiful Joe/Tron/Amaterasu. You can find out more about this event on their Facebook page.
not sure if i overlooked any changes or something, but in one of the videos hosted by winnerstayon tournament there is a viper playing that seems to get a meter refund after landing one of her Ex moves. I could of sworn that was one of the downfall of using ex moves is that it cost a bar, but in the video was being given back about 3/4 of a meter when the move lands. http://youtu.be/rCN60nzKp5w
Did i miss the memo or has it always been like that.
I checked it out in training mode toastman, and it's not a glitch, it's just the game is taking a bit long to do the Hyper bar subtraction.
She goes from 2.6 to 1, then 1.8 bars(because the EX move landed). It's a trick on the eyes, it fooled me to the point where I had to do training mode to make sure.

Ahh thanks man thought my eyes were bugging, friends are playing rockband couldnt test it myself. Yeah does look like the game does 2 calculations sub then add instead of just subtracting directly from current bar. @_@ thanks for clearing that up.
Interesting article by Sumo, but I'd have to disagree. Just because the hardcore tournament players don't care about story mode for fighting games, that doesn't necessarily mean that no one wants them.
You'd think that with characters that have been around for the last 20 years, Capcom would take the opportunity to add something substantial to these iconic characters in their more recent games. Hell, even with a franchise like Marvel which is all about unique characters with a rich history you'd think they would hire a write from Marvel to write an interesting story for a big game like MvC3. Instead we get really lazy "cutscenes" for whichever character delivered the final blow to Galactus which has 2 or 3 images with some caption. That would be fine for an game in the arcades, but for a $60 game? Kinda disappointing.
Say what you want about Mortal Kombat, but they actually took the time and effort to create a really interesting story that makes me more emotionally invested in the characters and actually care about their outcomes in the story.
that zero one is kind of old..
clockw0rk has done this several times at wednesday night fights when he gets the chance with phoenix..
its just basically anyone with an air dash capability to stay up in the air for mixup games..
zero just has that edge because of his air H
Smexy should credit the inventor >_> glad he posted a tutorial of sorts, but he should still give cred where it`s due...
