Team Sp00ky ran a live stream of Power Up 2011 from Cincinnati, Ohio this weekend. EG|Justin Wong, fLoE, DMG|PR Balrog, TS|Arturo Sanchez, TS|NerdJosh, Mike Ross and WolfKrone were some of the notable names in attendance.

You scrubs couldn't make the transition anyway, MK isn't nice to mashing newbs who rely on LP spam or OS to save them.

OS's aren't easy to do, require perfect timing, prediction and precise inputs.
MK combos aren't that hard at all. Fireballs mean nothing; 80% of the cast has a teleport; most X-ray moves are easy as hell to combo into; there are unblockable moves; need I go on?
Transitioning from SF -> MK9 is easy; they made the game scrubby enough to do so.

Right so OS arn't easy to do, so mashing your face into your stick hitting every button like an epileptic retard requires skill. SF caters to newbs way more then MK does and this is evident by the fact that the "pros" at MK so far drop the most basic combos, that bones guy is utter garbage on Ermac and yet he is treated like the holy grail ha.
Let me sum up your arguments here:
No fireballs - So dancocks sindel zoned with no fireballs, nice
80% of cast has a teleport - So why didn't Jwong teleport on Brady at all then if it was so good? He a scrub?
Most x-ray moves are easy - MvC3 much? Wake up Ultra much? Yea FADC ultra is SOOOO HARD.

I like mk but then ive always liked it even through the 3d years it was a fun toy. I look at this game is a major step fwd and i give it some slack as a first decent attempt. Theres a few bugs but its largely balanced, the online sucks but its the most difficult thing to cause you dont get to test it in the wild until its down they are also patching it.
Eventhubs doesnt do non-capcom games but it came close with this one maybe the next one will be the one. I cant wait for mkx its gonna be very interesting to see where they go

Okay, real talk. MK9 makes every other game on this list look like child's play. You want to talk animation? who gives a f***. MK caters to ADULTS and has it's own flavor to boot.I remember the first time I saw Duds ultra in SF4..that has to be one of the most retarded and childish lookin supers i have ever seen. Xrays are the sh*t, realistic bone breakin no BS colors and wind flying all over the place. I love SF and MVC and respect all of them, but MK has its own right as a great fighting game.
Look, the list goes like this ssf4 is still #1 n the game to have, mk9 srry, but its only second best. Then we have mvsc3, t6, bbcs, dbrb2, then last is nuns2. Some ppl in their minds make mk9 #1, but anybody who knows anything knows ssf4 is top, plain, and simple, that is all. Mk9 barely beats by centimeters, sf4. Sf4 was a good fkin game idc. Ssf4 ae is to be far superiors to any fighter. Heck sf4 revived the fighting game scene. Sf has two major flaws, capcom they are heartless money grabbers, and Ono trolling :). Other than that ssf4 wins.
Major Credz to PR Balrog, although TBH I wish Wong went back to Rufus from the first set, since he was playing better imo.
And Credz to Wolfkrone, he's beast, people need to give him more credit. He's also like the major Tournament/XBL online player so you can't complain about Lag. Good matches

#113 So you didn't see Taskmaster, She Hulk, Dorm, (ugh) Phoenix, Amaterasu, Akuma, Spencer, Trish, Dante, Zero, Tron, Haggar, Storm, I can probably name 45-50% of the cast who was used on stream. People say they see the same characters but seriously Marvel 3 high level play has a lot more character variety than people want to admit to. Yes you will see a lot of the good characters but a lot of them are supplemented by other characters as well who have held their own. Better than MSP MSS MS whoever the heck else finals.

The tourney was okay. I was excited to see MK9 but since the game is new, not many people knew what the hell was going on. Some people actually practiced and did some damaging combos but the majority of them either dropped combos or they do these 7 hit combos that's even not worth doing due to its low damage output.
Also, I was disappointed that they didn't stream the mystery tourney. I'm still wondering what game they played.

I have to play this man everyday at home. we went up there to the Tourney, of course me made it farther than me (as you see) PLUS Noel asked Him if could use my stick. I JUST got it duel modded...if he would have slammed my stick down.....trust me...Noel would have gotten is ass....BEAT.....DOWN!
I knew I wasn't gonna get far. in MK: they gave me Tom Brady third round (Sub Zero Clone spammer), and I lost to TS|NerdJosh in mvc3 (best Air Tech player I've played)

During the 5v5 mortal kombat tournament, hey said what some of the mystery games were (the mystery tournament played a different game each time).
First was a sailor moon game, there was also Splatter Beat and
also a kart racing game. It all ended with a game of Battleship. There was more, but the announcers didn't know what they were.
Very healthy variety of games being played. Nice.
