In before PSN. -_-
Btw, any skill left in this game?
Air juggles, air juggles.
Looks like CAPCOM's finally given up on all those pesky little balance issues and gone the Tekken route. And they'll still make lots and lots of money, to boot.
@10
"Btw, I'm not good in this game, so I'm going to troll about how bad it is."
What I read:
"Btw, I rely heavily on DHC and all it's glorious simplicity in an already simple enough game."
I don't expect people to play a fair game merely because I refuse to use such dirty tactics all for the easiest possible win, but you "good players" are getting more and more ridiculous. MvC2 all over again but now, any idiot can do it! Despicable.
@12
Then you waste your meter faster than a crack blowout sale. :/
Capcom's aim this time around was to keep the skill level high, but allow new blood to try their hand as well. Is the learning curve not so steep in MvC3? Of course not, it's one of the easier games to pick up. Is it hard to master? I would imagine so, because I can't do this stuff yet. (Although it's hard to think up complicated stuff when you play Zero, X-23 and Morrigan)
It's all a matter of perspective, really. I don't play online much anymore, outside of the occasional Player Matches where I actually find someone legit once in a while. Besides that, I go over to my rival's place and have a good session. The "cheap" level in this game is ungodly high, but once you figure out your opponent's "tricks", they're done.
If you're willing to put in the practice and think viable tactics against all kinds of players, that's what you have to do, if now, eh, just play another game, I'm sure you have other games to play.

If you want skill, go play SSF4. There are too many abusable gimmicks in MVC3 for it to be taken as seriously as SSF4.
@13 & 14
Erm, do you know who you are talking to? Try not to assume so much, k? I don't normally have any problems with people who play that way and if I do, then I take my loss while shaking my head at how repetitive and simple their character's play styles are. I was quite aware there is too much bull in this game that are spam friendly, thus Rank Whore's will abuse it. To say that I am unskilled for asking my rhetorical question on a slow news day was a bit foolish. Didn't come here to step on anyone's toes. Just was a bit fed up with yet another show case of these effortless combos and decided to say so.
@18
I'm not saying you're unskilled, just saying the game in general is not nearly as skillful as SSF4. Rather I agree with you; Too much spamming, too many overused powerful characters (Dante, Hulk, Sent, Tron, etc), too many easy-to-land cheap moves...it reminds me of Vanilla SF4 Sagat. It's not so bad that it's no fun to play though.
#19 Is typing difficult for you? That last message took me a minute and I am on my iPod.
#20 My apologies as I didn't mean to address you completely in that previous message. We seem to be on the exact same page. :)
@23
Very easy to say, but stupidly hard to apply, especially considering how easy it is for them.
lol yes, completely effortless, cheap combos that take 30 seconds to perform, contain about a dozen dash, flight and style cancels, cost at least 3 three meters and freezes meter gain once DHC'd into Dante.
you have to have about three meters to even begin the combo, which means you have to create enough openings to even allow yourself to earn them, then you have to get an opening again once you've built the meter. then you have to be able to not make an execution mistake for 30 seconds straight. all this when MHS->MMHS would do just as much damage in level 3 x-factor and this is what you're complaining about?
I keep forgetting that the only meaningful measure of a fighting game match is the player who does the most one-frame links.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks this game can be cheap. On a bright note, I do love playing this game for fun. But for tournament play, I can't take it seriously.
Urg....Storm, Dante and Tron. At least the Combo itself is cool.
