EGMi: The Digital Magazine has a new story up about Street Fighter X Tekken. They speak with both Yoshinori Ono and Seth Killian about how the game plays and some of the ins and outs of development. Are there any characters from either side that you wanted to include in SFxT but decided against because, after trying them out, you realized they didn't work?
Ono: To be honest, we've not experienced that yet. We are constantly brewing up wacky combinations of what would be a cool match-up, etc. Because of this, the team's morale is very high. After all, it is a dream come true for all of us as well as the fans. I have a feeling that this approach will result in a vast variety.
Killian: You know when the first stage we show is full of Cyberbots references, everyone is feeling loose and in a very open and accepting mode.
@MrPavy
He'll just replace it like he did last time. I'm sure the Blanka toy has been molested once ^_^
I'm really getting sick of Capcom leaving out NetherRealm Studios for a Crossover title.
Seriously just make, Mortal Fighter/ or Street Kombat already jesus.
i know oni gonna put the best sf characters like CAMMY PLZ LOL as for the tekken side put all the girls nina christie XD etc
"Srsly guis just make a mk/street fighter collab, because fatalities fit SF perfectly."
Facepalm.

i hope you are aware that it would never happen. MK is a dark fighting game with elements of death in almost everyting. Sf and Tekken are stricktly fighting to KO, not kill. if by any chance it happened however, expect to be dissapointed at no fatalities like MkvDc.
altho i disagree with SfvMk, i did like the mugen match between Ryu and Scorpion. check it out
I ONLY WANT SAKURA AND CAMMY IN SF X TEKKEN!!!!!!
(and maybe Karin..) Than its a buy for me :p
wacky combinations of what would be a cool match-up
wacky combinations
wacky
RYU,KEN
I'm glad they are putting in the 4 button feature for the Tekken side but the question is will it be like MVC3's empty promise of having MVC2 control options and being impossible to play?

1. That video is flash kid
2. Mk has gone down to T before
3. Considering that there are two versons of a company crossover (SFxT and TxSF) I don't think it's highly unlikely to see different iterations of the same crossover, from two different companies.
So Tekken won't be legit. Four buttons sounds like some Tekken mashing combos to me.
So we have
1) 6 buttons
2) 4 buttons
3) Simple controls
Looks like it'll be a fun game but will not even be on par with SSF4AE.
Don't get me wrong. It's a day one purchase for me. But the more I hear, the less excited I am.
@26
Outside of those with no knowledge of Tekken high level play, mashing really doesn't really get you far even with Lili or Eddie. No talking smack but I gotta ask have you remotely even played high level Tekken? Stuff is no joke. It's basically the 3D equvalent to SF when it comes to execution and timing.
You might not be scrub in your game of choice but you can still a scrub elsewhere on something else (not you in particular just generally speaking). Might as well try Tekken out because it's pretty good man plus you won't be clueless like a majority of these bums were when the gameplay was shown.
All they meant was you can play Tekken characters like you can in Tekken, using just the 4 buttons. However you won't be able to use any additional moves or abilities they have in this game's new mechanics by doing that.
It's not a separate control scheme or anything, lrn2rd.
And if I recall the Tekken characters... being Tekken characters... didn't have a lmh moveset made to make them like SF characters, their h inputs were like command normals or something, so that would make sense that you could probably activate those with lp+mp and lk+mk for those characters or something.
The gameplay is probably going to be awesome but DAMN the graphics still look like pure D ASS. Come on Capcom, leave this SFIV crap behind, please.
A four button layout suits me perfectly, since the advent of the Playstation and Dreamcast I've only used a four button layout anyway. Before that it was a 3 button Megadrive pad layout, you had to press start to switch between kick and punch. Those stage references went over my head as well, I'll have to take a second look.

first, i am fully aware that the video i have posted up is a flash. the indication of "mugen" alone should spark a natural hinteddy-hint-hint. the REASON why i put it in my post is to show that i liked THAT particular video featuring sprites of Scorpion and Ryu battling it out in a non official game, regardless of anything.
second, im 25 years old. my e.hubs name tag which is also my psn name (welcome anytime for a challenge, SSF4 ONLY) would be easy enough to figure out since most people use their birth year in a name.
third, i still dissagree with you. it would be quite unlikely to have a crossover between SfvMk if Capcom doeen't give Midway permission to use their licensened characters. When MkvDc came out, Capcom asked Dc "is it ok?" they said "Yes, BUT no 'real' fatalities or the deal is off"
Now, if Capcom would agree to sell at only M rating, and would agree with having their characters being slashed and hacked to death, then yeah, it would be possible. but i just don't see it.
then again, anthing is possible
i cant play any of those with a stick. i been using a controller to play games since i was a kid. even back when sf and all he fightin gmaes came out, in europe, i never saw any sticks.
when i came here the u.s. in 2000 i saw them for the first time on arcade machines and was like "how you play this?" then when sf4 rolled around i REAllY saw how sticks were used. man for me its IMPOSSIBLE to learn those things. you'd see me do a real hadouken b4 you'd ever see me get good with a stick.
