Showing you how to use this trick. Many know it, but many also are having problems with executing it. This video answers that questions and explains and demonstrates this. This should be something everyone knows, it is quite essential to your game play especially if you use someone who doesn't have an off the ground move.
I'm not really sure how this is an option select... there's only one possible outcome from the inputs. More like a kara-assist if anything. I wish the game just let you call out assists whenever you aren't actively doing a move or being hit, it seems to have the most random arbitrary restrictions on them...
lol guys I changed the name a bit for the confusion. It is not a option select so I correct that, its just multiple options you can use at the same time.
The mvc3 engine allows you to have equal results pressing dash at the same time or nearly the same time. You get the same result basically, so its very friendly

um... the assist mechanics in mvc are NOT arbitrary you probably just need to do more research.
One assist per character per combo, can call assists during attack strings, can only call when you two are on the bottom 1st vertical screen etc etc. If you are confused about the assist system hit up some of the forums and ask there
