I'm not sure what/why it is, but I don't see Daigo picking up Evil Ryu.
I never realized Ryu's hair color was changed to red until now. In that case, what was Akuma's hair color before? Anyone read the comics and answer this question? I'm sure there was so sort of flashback in there to show this.

Daigo is already maining Yun in AE and I doubt he'll change.

From the looks of it, Air played E Ryu the same way he plays regular Ryu. He cr. mk into fireball throughout the match. The fact E Ryu can't link his cr mk from japs (other than counter hits) doesn't really matter. His cr. mk actually works well as a frame trap move since it comes out so fast and has better range than cr. mp. IMO, I think E Ryu is better than Reg. Ryu in AE. E Ryu has better pokes, a kara throw, a teleport, more damaging combos (both regular and fadc combos) and ultra (which can be fadc into for full cinematics). Other than more health (reg and stun hp), what does Reg. Ryu have over E Ryu that is better?

It's possible for a regular casual player like most of us would drop Yun b/c he's too good or got bored of him. For a pro player to say so, especially Daigo, is vey hard to believe. It's like the Lakers saying Kobe Bryant is too good so they decided to trade him. Or saying we're going to stop competing for contracts b/c the company makes too much money. Also in case you didn't notice, the BP rankings that was posted two or three days ago still shows Daigo is dominating the leaderboards with Yun. That, alone, discredits your rumor.

i also agree evil ryu is most probably better than ryu but not by much, i could be wrong but ryu seems to have a better cross up tatsu and a faster fireball
I don't see the logic behind thinking Daigo will play Evil Ryu. Because he played Ryu in vanilla and super? Evil Ryu and Ryu are two completely differen characters. Daigo himself said fireball characters are too weak in AE. Albeit that was before the release of Oni or Evil Ryu, but I don't see how their fireballs substantially differ from those of Akuma. I'm not saying Daigo will never pick him up, he might; but saying he definitely will is a blind assumption.
Also, I'm pretty sure, as of the April 11, BP rankings, Daigo was still playing Yun.

I hope Air can handle ER's sheer power n doesn't become overwhelmed by the sheer greatness that is, Evil Re-yuu!. Same for Daigo, but Daigo has a better shot than anyone. Daigo will play ER, but he'll also play yun, it'll be a, how he feels atm thing. It'd be absurd for him to throw all that Yun hardwork away. He will play ER also, i'd bet anything on it! He Probably started practice with ER the day he was prematurely, ejaculated on to the arcades. I love ER, yep i do, green, yellow, n blue, i love ER, hes n my fav five, i'll hadoken till every other sf guy/gal dies, he's sweet as granny's pie, man, i love this guy, he's tight like a fat guys tie, to be admired truly, u'd need two eyes, (srry Sagat lol) he's the best again n again, more powerful than, Akuma, Bison, Gill, n Gen, i won't stop everyone know the phrase, EVIL RE-YUU...WINS.....PERFECT!! lol

Onis, air supers hit box looks kinda insane, ER was on his way down and it caught him haha
i actually learned a lot about oni from MrPavy's video, you can ground pound after a cross up running slash for an untechable knockdown, oni has great recovery on his backdash, ground pound has a big hitbox, can bait very well, has some decent mix ups in time there could be much more, deceptively fast despite his size, can follow up an anti air shoryuken much like dudley only so far i've only seen follow up hk.tatsu

Evil Ryu is just a waste of a good character slot. He's gonna be played just like Akuma and Ryu, and therefor most online ER players are going to be boring and hide behind there fireballs and cr.mk. At least Oni is something abit different

Oni is much different from your traditional shoto as most of his normals are new as are his specials

I visit Safari every week and yes, he's still beasting with Yun. Haven't seen him using any other chars so far.
Daigo is not gonna play Evil Ryu. I'm not 100% positive on that, but I'm like 99.99% positive, because the character really doesn't seem that good. Akuma blows him out of the water in terms of who is a better character. Daigo would never drop Yun to play this excuse for a character. Evil Ryu was a dumb idea in the first place. As well as Oni. Both characters should've been two better characters, like Urien and Rolento. Just my 2 cents.
Evil Ryu just got officially released about two weeks ago, give it some time guys before clips start showing him using E.Ryu. And its still to early to tell if E.Ryu is indeed better or worse than Akuma. Tokido said thats they play almost the same.

I'm actually surprised by how much hitstun/blockstun that arc kick does. There were points in those videos where I felt the opponent was going to punish but Air just kept on with the combo/blockstring. Getting that long of a pause while still being able to continue the combo must surely be nice, cos your brain has time to register that your opponent is free and open and you have a second to strategize about EXACTLY how you wanna finish the combo.
Akuma's hp is merited because he has air fireballs, the vortex, teleports, and really strong combos.
Evil Ryu though, I can't see what he makes up for it with. All I see is "a more aggressive Ryu with some more offensive options." But will that really make up for the bad health??? I somehow seriously doubt it. But time will tell if any pros can take him to the next level and show us what he's really good for.
I feel like if Daigo had to choose he'd just stay with Yun. It's clear the character is better and for less risk. If Daigo ends up playing ER it will be either for some promotional reason or because he's bored.
Would love to see a player like Momochi go to ER since he's used to having a health handicap.
