Where's the painting of the angry man in the background? D:
thats really good, but thing to keep in mind when designing stages, you don't want to do more than you need to. only design what the player will be able to see, so designing an entirely closed in area with textures and meshes in and around everything is going overboard.
It's supposed to be a remaining, so its not going to look the same as the original. It is impossible to be identical, and yet superior - so any attempt to make something better is going to have to change some things.
But also, its still clearly a work in progress. He may yet add in things like the "angry man" in the background or anything else that gave the original its "charm."
Personally, I think it looks freaking awesome. A redesign like this of every level could make some sick backgrounds for another HD update of Super Turbo. I'd buy it.
the one major flaw of ssfiv is the backgrounds ie stages. they are absolute sh it. the 3dness of backgrounds looks bad too. in facti think they should make street fight back to it's 2d art style roots. but still keep camera fluctuations for the ultras e.t.c.
@25: aaah u beat me to it! ~ I was going go for "now looks like the kinda place you'd go for a good old fashion raping".... great minds XD
I would love it if this was somehow included in Tekken X Street Fighter. They made a mistake going away from individual stages in SF4, and they should really go back.
Catalyst, you forgot to add Peter Griffin's credit for finding this place.
